A little late on this video response for Orlando ⁠‪@ACollectorsDream‬ and Sammy ⁠‪@SammyThunder‬ but excited to share this shoutout for some special RU-vid friends Dylan ⁠‪@DoubleDvintagebaseballcards‬ and Shane ⁠‪@shoeboxlegends‬ . Also, I’m happy to share a couple of very special items I received thanks to Eric ⁠‪@4LeafCards‬ and Skaght ⁠‪@ReindeerStudios‬ . All this from a location that was once a place that great friends gathered, the Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame.

Thanks Ed! I always knew about this place but unfortunately never got to visit while it was open. It was nice to at least see what remains and be where the program was signed. Getting to put the Surfin Teddy in the number 9 was pretty cool. I appreciate you watching!

Thanks Austin! Shane really is one of the greatest guys I’ve ever met. This place is pretty awesome. I forgot to mention in the video that some of the streets are named after former players. There’s a Fenway Drive, Dimaggio Path, McCovey Point and a bunch of others. Ted Williams helped bring in a bunch of new homeowners to the area back in the 90’s.

Hugo! You really have some great locations around to visit. It's always so awesome to see. I definitely would be visiting them as well. I do have Cooperstown about 75 miles away so I can't complain too much. Great shoutouts to not only amazing channels but even better people. Great work!

I didn’t show it in the video but the community has a lot of baseball references. There are streets named Fenway, DiMaggio, Pesky, Doerr and a bunch of others greats. I’m sure this place was boomin’ when Ted was around. Thank you for watching, Jim!

I know I saw the Museum in your HOF ballot video but I did not know the history of it until now. Awesome Hugo! Great shoutouts man, love that you put your award out there in the same spot where Mickey and Brooks entered the HHOF. I can picture you, Dylan , Skaught and Shane out at that gazebo going through cheese boxes and binders. This hobby is the best!

Hey Andy, it’s all good my friend. Glad you watched this one and enjoyed it. I hope I can go back sometime and show the area around the museum. The streets are named after some of the greats so it would be fun to show that. I’m sure the people that were buying properties that Ted was helping promote were big time fans. Way to go All-Star! No pitchers, no pitchers, no pitchers! Are there any pitchers in that Hall of Fame! Did the Hall of Fame go somewhere else. So these get together still now that Ted has passed? Dylan and Shane are two of my best buds in this community. Awesome fellas! Hope to meet you someday Hugo!

In 2006 it was moved to Tropicana Field and there was a Pitchers wall of Fame opened there. After it closed at the Trop (I don’t know why it did) there has been a few attempts to keep the ceremonies going but I believe that has stopped too. Thank you for watching, Ken! It would be great to meet for sure. I’ll miss this National but perhaps next year’s.

Hey Mark! Thank you for watching. You’re right, not too long ago that place was bustling. I wish I had made it there while it was still open. I did get to see the items that made it to Tropicana Field when the museum was moved there so that’s nice. I don’t have many Bernie Carbo cards at all. I don’t have his rookie but I will get that one soon. Right now it’s just the one Shane gave me and another from the Ted Williams set.

Thanks for watching, Eric! After Ted passed away in 2002 the museum began to struggle with attracting visitors. Then his son passed away in 2004 so a lot of the effort to keep it open went away. Once it closed, it got moved to Tropicana field and was there for a few years but I don’t know why they did away with it. I appreciate you asking. Sorry about the Lions loss. They looked great the first half and I though they were going to hang on. The future looks good though.

Yeah I wonder what they’ll do to it. It’s an important landmark in that area so I think the new owners will preserve it. It’ll probably remain a bank and realty office. Thanks for watching, Eric!
