The thing I remember most about this movie is Roger Ebert giving it thumbs up. That led to one of his better ongoing arguments with the appalled Siskel.

Those two had some of the funniest debates when they disagreed on certain movies. NC included the Ebert-Siskel debate on this movie on his “Funniest Siskel and Ebert Insults”

Roger Ebert gave thumbs up to a lot of really bad movies, including several NC has roasted: Cop and a Half, Congo, The Haunting (1999), Home Alone 3, and Van Helsing. He also gave "The Cell" **** and said it was one of the year's best movies. I don't think the movie is as bad as NC makes it seem, but it's definitely not a **** movie.

Because the world 100% needed it, this movie got a reboot/sequel in 2017. This time it was Lou Diamond Philips (awesome guy in real life) partnered with a 12 year old girl to stop drone attacks.

I rented the sequel starring Lou Diamond Phillips last week. Burt Reynolds nearly shooting the kid was literally all I could remember from the original. The sequel involves drones running amuck, but it looks like it's actually the better movie.

By far the new was better, unfortunately though Dredd was a tough sell, partly due to the R rating and that Dredd is a facist hero so it wasn't going to appeal to markets it depended on.

Henry Winkler can be grateful he had his minor role in “Scream” and of course is part of “Barry” & Burt Reynolds should’ve been grateful that Paul Thomas Anderson put him in “Boogie Nights”
