I'm a big fan of the SL series. It combines the looks of a coupe with the hard top, and being able to also be a convertible. They also are very confortable.

Randy, if I remember correctly the real battery is in the trunk and the battery you see up front is for the accessories. So next time you see a dead one try putting the booster on the accessory battery to get power to the trunk to start the car.

Hey Randy, as always, really great Video. I really enjoyed watching. BTW, I saw another VW Passat B6 In this video, was parked in front of the 530i. I tell you, if one of these goes for cheap, go for it and just drive it. I have one as my daily and love it so much, they're really awesome cars, but not really reliable. Also, as you already experienced in the past, be aware of the great (not) 2.0T engine. I remember, you had one with a broken timing belt, but they also have a chain between the camshafts.

On that town and country the ABS light is usually due to a dirty sensor. Run through a carwash a couple times and it should fix it up

Blue Efficiency on a Mercedes means that the alternator takes the electric from braking and turns it into efficient energy. That should mean that it will get better mileage economically

OK Randy putting your puke moment aside that Land Rover is a good flip. Its the last year of that 'Discovery II' and so is a Facelift model with lots of options as standard. Production end cars are the best built and in May 2004 they introduced the Discovery III or 'LR3' monocoque. It will also have the rock solid 4.6 litre V8 from Rover (not BMW!). This shape Discovery used the full ladder chassis and running gear from the Range Rover before they went Ultra Tech with the LR3. Absolutely bullet proof and without doubt possibly the best off roader of its era. Get an all over suit, good mask and just rip the entire interior out (its easy) back to the metal. Lots of cleaner and pressure wash and spend some (valuable) time on it. The headlights and paint need a buff up but she is all there and I suspect will not need parts. Do not dismiss this car.... I had two and would buy this in a heartbeat.

Id almost bet that first Mercedes has a ruined engine, that's from that time they had the oil cooler and radiator all in one, so when that all got crushed, it's going to be mixing coolant and oil more then Likely. That or a bad trans, they also had ones with the trans cooler and radiator together. Mercedes can be dumb at times.

Just a suggestion can you like at least look at the hondas and hyundai cars I see them on the lot mercedes is nice idk geez some of them don't work they have problems and idk just try to look at the hyundai's or honda's or ford.

Do not get that S550. That's from the era of Merc where if a tiny little sprocket inside the engine fails, your whole engine is gone.
