Who cares if the Cougar is a V6. Like you said, “nicer, newer, cleaner & lower miles”. I enjoy affordable cars. Most of us enjoy your channel because you’re not flaunting wealth and money, and we can’t relate to Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Swamp Vette, the Tempo, and of course the 59 Dodge... this is content I enjoy, and look forward to watching. Thanks!
@@ronniebuchanan6575 lol 😆 I was thinking 🤔 the same thing I guess he got a little carried away like I do cuz its just hard to not obsess over some of these old somewhat classic time capsules
The good old Nissan Z24 engine was nearly indestructible and bullet proof. Having a 4 cylinder with eight spark plugs made those Z24 engines a very snappy engine for there time.
@@copcarguymn yep the ford r2.3 had a 4 and 8 spark plug option which was for maximum fuel economy back then and emissions even a few other vehicles had it
The CORVETTE AND THE M6 ARE beautiful beast's man sounds good , looks good , beautiful sports dream rider FOR SURE!!!! loved them , PERFECT REBUILD PROJECT'S AND best of all both were at cheap bids really , DANNNNGG SONNNN!!!! , loved the saab , the nissan D21 HARDBODY and the 2020 Blazer which looks beautiful and stunning and perfect project rebuild AS WELL. Awesome video Randy , great walkaround , lovin' it with the Corvette and the M6 looks stylish and stunning as they would be in LA . Stay Safe & God bless you.
The Saab 🤩 The 650i is a sick car but it can bite you without a proper maintenance, but hey! that's content GOLD! You already won the hard body and I'm happy for that! Aaaand that Vette could be a score!
That Nissan hardbody has the Z24 Electro-injection engine with the 8 spark plug setup. I had the same engine in my '86 4x4 king cab 5-speed ST.. miss that truck. Great content as always
It isn't a low coolant light, it's low washer fluid light. It has coolant, and washer fluid. The light is just stuck on. The open door lights is stuck on also.
I was stationed in Georgia and used to rent them from Enterprise and always had a great ride to Jersey and back . I know you had a lot of work to do on the other one but this one is looking much better than that one. Cleaned and detailed you’ll make money Randy.
Not much in common with Vectra C (not Astra). They share the same platform which was an international project of various GM divisions (Epsilon II). The whole interior, exterior, rear suspension, engine (2.0 block mostly designed by Lotus, other stuff by Saab) and all the electronics are completely different.
On the Jag, for future reference, there is a key hole for the boot if you look under the boot chrome strip where you were pushing the boot release at the back.
California was nice. But this is what I enjoy! Everyday cars with the occasional surprise. It's what I like about your channel. Waiting on the auction results for the cars you sold at IAA. Curious how they did.
I bought the 1997 Mercury Cougar XR7. It's a great car. I drive it all the way from Oklahoma to Houston with no problem. I haven't decided if I'm going to fix it up and keep it or sell it.
That Hardbody would look amazing on air or even a static drop with some different wheels and fresh paint and maybe some used or cheaply refurbished seats.
That Nissan Z24 hi Idol is from a bad vacuum leak it's actuallyquite a very common problem on those engines if you look it up on Google check the wax solenoid idol valve what was that light on the dash for
My brother had an 85 Nissan with the 2.4 - he found out the hard way that they are somewhat prone to head gasket failure between cylinders 3 and 4. His burnt the head and the cylinder, basically totaling the truck (it was pretty rusty.) I'm not sure if Nissan had addressed the issue by 89, but might want to check the torque on the head if you do pick this up just to be safe. Sounds good though, so it may not be an issue. Before it went though, the truck would run 75 down the highway all day without missing a beat.
I can’t wait to see what you do with the Nissan I had two of those back in the day a 2 Wheel Dr. in a four-wheel-drive and I loved them both and a what color were they? yes red!
_Surely keep us posted on the '91 Yellow Corvette convertible. That L98 fired right up, and sounded healthy! It's tough having to see this C4 drop top gem neglected, because long long ago it was somebody's baby._
Some paint, air ride or lower it on a budget with a static drop new wheels and refurbished interior or redone on a budget. Would make for some cool content for the channel and a cool little through back mini truck.
You should give that little Rio at 13:43 a shot. Ik it’s a eco box little car but I drive a stick and it will surprise you how good and fun it really is
Ooof... that SAAB is stunning! I had a 2.0 Vector Sport and it was the best car I ever had. Except.... they tend to break front coil springs. Also the buttons have a rubberised coating which starts the rub off.. But.. I would easily buy and drive another today.
Randy I did enjoy looking at the cars you showed us from Cali But I would rather look at what I can afford than what I wish I could , like women 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks bud
Z24 was the Nissan engine code, which predates the Cavalier Z24. The engine has a carburetor, ohc 8 valves, 8 spark plugs for cleaner emissions. I believe the '90 Hardbodys were equipped with the KA24E 12 valve sohc fuel injection.
My buddy got his Nissan hardbody new in 97 when we were in high school he still has it his son drives it now to that same school we went to lol its in pretty good shape. Z24 should have 8 plugs
Randy second post for me you really need to find another resale dealer so you can wholesale these cars you like after playing with them . At least until mike gets things sorted out . He is definitely your go to guy 👍🏻
That BMW convertible would make great content. Just don't see to many of them around. Maaco paint and a few fixes could make for some decent profit as well. Bring her home buddy!
Hey Randy, this is not short. Looks like you were going to do 2 videos but ended up putting them together into one. What happened to all your cars sold on IAA? I think you'd do well with another Vette video over all the rest here.
Just to let no rainy too on those Nissan's those z24 motors they are originally inside the cars back in the 70s and '80s those motors were built for the cars and they put them in the pickup trucks but I love that body style though I'm glad you got that truck I hope you have fun with it
The Cougar "Bostonian" wasn't factory, it was a dealer-add trim package with the padded vinyl top, etc. FoMoCo did not have a factory vinyl roof option on any of the MN-12 Cougars and Thunderbirds.
Good video. I own a cammed C6 Z, supercharged running 660whp ( that was before I put the supercharger ), so I’m dyno running in April. I think I’ll push 750whp + . What do you think I’ll hit with my supercharger? My mods are in my about.
The Malibu looks great. The Ecoboost is a good engine, if you can diagnose the fault. I hope she can be saved, I drive a 2017 Malibu with a similar body style. Very high pressure powerful engine.
I had an 89 LS but there was an XR7 for the same year and the 89 and 90 only came in 6 cylinders which makes no sense considering every other year except for the 99-02 which had either a 4 cylinder or a 6 cylinder
The only reason you should get that Caprice is if you plan to use it for a demolition derby. The Nissan Hardbody would make a good flip to someone that likes mini-trucks. I'm quite surprised to see that Corvette run. It's worth $1200, despite the fact that I hate yellow paint on cars. :P
Hail yes to the SOB and PonyYak and the Nissan truck! At $1200, the Vette would be fun as well. Everything else, MEH! Good to have you back doin ordinary cars. 👍
Well videos have been really big since a long time but they are very interesting and worth watching Thank you for putting so much hardwork for us Hours of filming and editing is a big deal man keep it up And always wear helmet while riding the bike(as ur grandpa would say) and drive slow
