The Corolla is amazing . A time capsule.

I live in Cambodia and there are still thousands of Toyota Corollas of this era still running around, though it has to be said, in varying degrees of roadworthiness. They were one of the earliest cars permitted to be imported into the country when it was trying to re-build after the atrocities of the Khmer Rouge. I see at least a dozen or so of these models when I'm out and about.

Congratulations Randy, you must have found the only non running Corolla in North 🤔 That S Class is slowly waking up. The suspension was starting to build pressure. Slowly. ABS/BAS/ESP should all go out once the wheel is turned lock to lock and the car has moved. Also the selector locks fail, can be removed from the mechanism, only four screws, a cable and a clip to remove it. Can be swapped out from the driver's seat👍

Randy. Thanks for showing the Corolla. My first new car was a 90 Toyota Corolla just like that (with the black bumpers and blue interior), but mine was Regatta Blue Pearl and a stick-shift. One of the best cars I ever owned. I put 170K miles on it and the only items I had to replace were the muffler, tires, brakes, battery, thermostat and timing belt. Car was so reliable that I gave it to one of my Nephews to take to college and he drove it for another 4 or 5 years before moving on to something else.

Hi Randy, I'm 77 years old and put 40,000 miles on a Sportster in the past 10 years. It is a good bike, it won't lift the front tire on you unless you really hit it hard. Yet it will accelerate and go as fast as you want to go.

I was sad that the little Toyota Corolla wouldn't turn over. I love that era of small Japanese cars. I bought an 89 Mazda 626 from a lady at church, she bought it new, drove it forever, turned it over to her son who got in trouble, so she sold it to me. It was white like the Corolla, 4 door, 2L engine, 3 valve per cylinder, automatic, pretty much a fully loaded car. Everything worked, air conditioner, and cruise control too. When I looked it over and test drove it I thought it had 97k miles. When I got it home, and looked more closely at the odometer, it was 197k miles. Didn't matter, she purred like a kitten, ran and drove smooth as silk. It had been kept outdoors a long time, so the paint was pretty dead, but apply rubbing compound, elbow grease, and time, paint came out great, add a wax job, she looked like new again. Interior was great. Got rid of the boring 14 inch wheels and hubcaps. Bought a used set of factory 15 inch wheels off a MX 6 with the appropriate size tires to keep the speedometer right. She was a beauty, I still miss her.

I had a brand new Toyota Corolla 1990. We had a lot of trouble with the transmission. My first car was a Toyota Corolla 1966 station wagon. Best car I ever had.

That rust free F150 is super cool. XL trim with factory cruise, power windows, A/C, and a tach......high end options back then! I love that. Nothing like that left around here in salt winter country. Id like to have it.

I had a 91 Corolla just like that back in 2006. I bought it originally to drive for papa John’s as a second job. I bought it for $500, because it didn’t start. Fixed it up and drove it for two years to pay off debt. Then I sold it after for $900 lol! I actually regret selling that car. The AC was cold, and ran great!

I can definitely tell you were excited to get home. You seemed to have a pep in your step and was talking a little fast towards the end. Enjoy and be safe Randy. I too had that itch..... My dad had a 1982 Ford F150 crew cab with the straight 6. It had a Leer cap on it and when it was about 2 years old he slid into my neighbors ‘70 Torino. The whole passenger side got caved in. I was a Senior in high school and we took it to my school’s autobody shop and repaired it.

Glad you went ahead and got the 1200. Practacly everybody winds up putting a 1200 kit on the 883's.

That ae92 corolla holds a special place in my heart... We had one and i used it through college... I drove it 120 kph with a blown head gasket, leaky roof, flat spotted tire and carburetor issues😂

2019 Kawasaki Z400 ABS Naked Ninja, went to class, first rides my bike only has 19 miles on it. Been about it for 2020/2021 so far

As a fellow rider myself, I am looking forward to seeing the new Sportster. Ride safe bro. I love riding my bike. It is a different feeling that I personally think is different than even riding in a convertible. Bikes are just different. You will understand once you start riding.

That Corolla... my Grandpa used to have that model, 1.8 D XL in purple/plum color. Great car, I was learning driving in it back in 97/98 :D good memories :)

The young people that bought Toyotas and Hondas in the 70s and 80s became the well healed adults that bought Lexus' and Acuras in the 90s.

The first Benz is a MWM special! HE can get it to shift out of park. Plus, if he buys it, you 2 could do a walk around or two. Those are always fun to watch! I doubt the '82 Ford P/U would need new paint. I think Auto Spa could make the existing paint sparkle!

Regarding bikes. Displacement does not equal speed. Please do research. I had a 600rr and now I have an r1. Not as big as your 1200 but Infinitely faster in every way, but glad to see somebody getting Into riding. Best of luck and hope you enjoy it.

Love the Corolla. I got my license driving one all those years ago. Pretty much Toyota here in Australia was just like you said how it was for the USA, in the 1970's they where just taking off here. Bytthe late 1980's and early 1990's they really took off here. Now they are the highest selling auto maker here in OZ.

My last bike was a Honda CBR500 and it was great for heavy traffic. No it wasn't powerful but was very nimble which is why I got a smaller bike. It was also great on the highway. Not great on my bad back though.

the shifter on the mercedes is taking apart because there is a button you have to push to free the shifter it's locks when a module goes out on them

Hell yeah Randy, them 6th gen Corollas are damned good cars! I had a 1990, but it wasn't as optioned as that one. Rust killed it... That Ford truck is missing its alternator. The Toyota Tundra's frame might've bent because of rust - those trucks are known for their frames rusting to death. Glad I didn't get bit by the motorcycle or boat bug...

Randy, the Toyota, for dirt cheap, would make for good content, and, who knows, might even make a good flip if you could sort it out. The old F150, hail YES! Would LOVE to see you give it the AAR treatment. ( you’re always telling us how trucks bring a night price ) And the Nissan for parts, yes. (at the right price) Can’t wait till the next results video;been missing those.

The 1982 Ford F-150 would be amazing to see on the channel love those trucks my dad even owns one but it’s a 1980 Ford F100 Custom short bed completely still looking like a new truck has a 300 straight six but it’s going to be pass down to me since I love the truck a lot, would love to see you do this truck to learn even more about it, but great video Randy!👍🏼

Love that Mercedes SLC , gorgeous sports fast car Randy , hope you could get it , bcos the damage can be fixed Randy there's nothin' wrong with it frame wise give it that good pull , I mean the reverse order of what happened , if you pull it the same way out , she come right back to spec. for sure Randy , its few hours work and all that buckle/ creases will come right back out and just need some more hammer / basic straightening work , sanded , body-filled and again sanded ,primed and finally painted , its basically straight and can get done on less than a week of course with a new trunk and rear bumper , unless any of the old can be saved, but I loved it awesome spec. and option it has with that red interior , ooooh boy she's NICE!!!!!! , loved that beast. Also love that OLD FORD F-150 , definitely another awesome rebuild project as well and wish you could get that as well!!!! Anyways love the walkarounds , and forgot to mention that Nissan hardbody perfect to fix your and even upgrade the interior and stuff yes including the dashboard Randy bcos its the same truck and same body , that dash will fit right in , to yours , yes GET IT RANDY!!! My old ‘02 S430 had a broken park lock lever and did the same thing Randy! Maybe that’s the issue! That being said, I would walk away, low miles but it has been neglected obviously!

Re the Nissan, that parts car is ideal for fixing your one. Even if it costs a bit more than you might want to spend, you'll have everything you need and a whole load of parts you didn't know you needed. And if it only costs you $600, then everything after the wheels is free. Which is nice😎

Nissan Titan wheels (18s) will fit but you might need to bore the center out to make them fit. My old hardbody had them👍

Older Toyota's are known too have a stuck solenoid on the starter, I bet if you tap the starter with a tire iron it should fire up.

If you get that Nissan Truck, Randy, get your parts and DON'T send it to the junk yard. Put your old parts back into it and send it back to Copart or IAA. There are still a lot of great parts on that truck and I have to think you'd get better money running it back through the auction than to a scrap yard. BTW, I love that NUMMI Corolla.
