This is my favorite Stallone movie, I love it!!!

I was alive in the 80s and 90s and it was a golden era. Copland had a lot of hype when it came out and people were disappointed. I think they were expecting more action or mob stuff considering the cast. I rewatched this recently and it’s absolutely brilliant. A real gem. Incredible acting, writing, vibe. It has aged like fine wine.

The film is very underrated, really driven by the performances of the stellar cast. Yes it is proof again that Stallone is a great actor. Quality review as always much respect to you👍

Really great movie. Seriously overlooked performance by the late Ray Liotta as a fascinatingly conflicted character. I think it's some of his best work

Love this film. Stallone is a great actor. Rocky, First Blood, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, Copland and Creed. Better than most current Hollywood "A" listers. Also Ray Liotta is fire in this also.

Robert Patrick " Jack " is the most underrated actor of all time. Terminator 2, Cop Land and The Sopranos all different charactes and he nailed them all

Remember watching a creed movie review and they said creed was his best acting since Copland love this movie up there with Rocky, first Blood, Creed copland is a must see Gripping from start to Finish.

I love this movie

Putting aside the Rocky films I think Copland and FIST are his best acting performances. I like thst he plays a pushover unlike his tough guy roles he had done up until this point

Terrific review. Much neglected classic. Stallone leading awesome cast. The great late ray liotta as conflicted figs has many stand out scenes as do Keitel, Rappaport, Patrick (all effectively character actors in this) Jthe late ohn Spencer and Frank Vincent as hood and bent cop respectively. Cathy Moriarty from Raging Bull in a minor but crucial role and de Niro alongside Stallone hold the movie together. I disagree that this is Stallone's best acting gig barring Ricky, First Blood (1) & Nighthawks showed Stallone more than capable. Unfortunately his becoming superstar undermined this (Harrison ford had same problem , as did Mel Gibson of being straightjacketed into variation of similar roles) at heart Copland a western (High noon) of a decent man doing what has to be done. Only one part Dosent work for me and that is De niros final voice over which is too on the nose, and possibly a studio interference decision in not trusting the audience.

Rocky is who Stallone is. Freddy is who he isn't. That's acting.

And Sly stopped working out and put on weight for the role. Ray Liota wanted the part of Freddy and gained weight himself. Yeah, great movie

I don’t think Stallone had a single emotion the entire movie 😂. Rated this one a 10/10, but his thousand mile stare made me laugh a couple times

its just average movie , far from great. stallon is good, liota character gets to shine, but as a thriller it does not work for a large part, its boring in parts,, you anticipate some twist but it never comes.

I didn't find this film very interesting to watch.
