I remember this story! Right after it happened the wife immediately suspected the ex-wife. Justice will be served! RIP to this man and condolences to his widow and his daughter.

I had a feeling his ex wife had something to do with his death. No matter what issues you have with a ex it should never get to this point. You should think about your kids and how they would feel not being able to see their father or mother again. You robbed those kids of a father and a man of his life in which you had absolutely no right to do.

My heart aches for his daughter, to lose her dad a such at young age. I pray for her future.

The daughter saying that she will protect her mom is absolutely chilling and heartbreaking. I hope that as she gets older, she remembers progressively less of that day. To shoot an innocent man, especially in front of his child is disgusting. And how convenient that the shooter is connected to the ex wife🙄 🤦🏿‍♀️

Hearing the daughter say “I’ll protect you” broke my heart. She’s still so young and innocent, and has no idea how big and scary the world really is yet. I hope they find justice and peace😔

That little one breaks my heart. What a sweet soul, wanting to protect her mama. It’s so awful to think she was there! I feel for the mom / wife of the victim as well. I hope they all get the help and justice they need and deserve. Such an awful tragedy.

I remember thinking it was the ex wife after her immediately asking for the death certificate and turns out it was right. I thought back then it was to claim life insurance. Let’s see what else transpires. I hope justice is served

Oh, I remember this when it first happened. Such a heartbreaking case. I'm so glad to hear they finally have a suspect, and more arrests to come. I was afraid that poor man and his family may never get justice. And why am I not surprised his ex-wife is a person of interest?

Thank god. I’ve never forgotten this case. Particularly because he just radiates so much joy & love with his kids in the videos. Rarely do you see a parent light up quite like that. To his wife Kirsten & his children, to his family and all who love Jared, I am so very sorry for all that was stolen from you, for the pain & depths of grief you’ve been thrown into. May his ex-wife & all involved (bets on her new husband?) get what’s coming to them. I’ve got to say, getting a black nan with a long criminal history & I also suspect mental illness or developmental disability to do the dirty work is completely shameful. To do it in front of Jared’s child- the one he had with his beautiful new wife after moving on from your trash- ? Unforgivable. You’ve robbed every last thing from your own children. And for what? We need to learn to appreciate when a bad relationship or separation has transitioned into toxicity. The line between toxicity & danger is impossibly fine. We can never truly know another person. Sadly like all victims now, Jared will be executed for a second time in the courts as the defence lawyers seek to lay blame where it isn’t deserved. Everyone loses here. My condolences & strength.

I don’t believe in coincidences. The suspect was renting a place owned by the victim’s ex wife, then the victim was shot by the ex wife’s home? It just doesn’t add up that some guy just goes and kills him with no motive. Even if he is a habitual offender.
