Hello! No problem. Glad you like the suggestions. You should have an email with the tab in your inbox 👍 Fantastic riff and I had a lot of fun helping out!
man i stumbled upon your channel at the PERFECT time, I love midwest emo riffwriting/songwriting but it's a little hard to figure out all of it's nuances being mostly a metal guy you're an insanely good educator, i wish more people on the platform had a similar approach to educational music content
I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years and just recently got into math rock/Midwest emo. Learning these riffs in these altered tunings makes me feel like a beginner again and I love it!
Steve I love this series already! What a great idea. Watching you break down these riffs makes me want to get my guitar out and write more. And to challenge myself to write in different ways and not get in a rut. It’s been so cool to see how the channel has grown over the years and how your production value has improved. Thanks for all the awesome content!
Great idea to demonstrate these on vids, its self advertising, its demonstrating the submitters to a wider audience, and its double dipping on patreon submissions for you. Well done, and great quality submissions too.
Hey mate I was wondering if you have any ideas for someone who’s played bass for bass for mostly post hardcore for about 20+ . I’m starting a new mid west emo/ math rock band, cuz I’m no longer playing bass, I’m playing a telecaster and also and also mini . This is my main old bands: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bCXO6V69eyQ.htmlsi=PIe4d2Oj4FfNEUCB and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xxEUcwJNXdU.htmlsi=mmvKgUaDf83MfZj1 Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
Great question! I mostly learned at college by using the Music Theory in Practice series of books. I recommended learning up to grade 5 for popular music. Grades 6 - 8 focuses more classical scoring composition.
