So glad you are back Joy. We’ve missed you! All of us want to watch you sew. I wish you did more footage when you are actually sewing at your machine. We all could learn so much by just watching you❣️❣️
Hey Joy you’re too funny you make me laugh when I’m having a bad day I watch you and I just laugh until I cry lol keep up the good work and your projects them your sense of humor is awesome❣️🧵🪡✂️💗❤️💓💖💕
Hi Joy, both my husband and I have had Reflux, and Gerd. What finally fixed it is taking Essential enzymes when you eat. at our age, our body doesn't digest like it used too. But the enzymes fix that. hope that helps
Hi Joy. I have been watching your videos for several years, throughout all your adventures (sewing, RV, building, moving, praying and more). I have never written to you before. But after seeing you in the pink muslin (before sleeves) I had to stop what I was doing to let you know How good you look in pink. That pink just makes your skin glow...definitely Pretty in Pink😍😉.
I would really like to see the video of how you altered the original pattern. You are an awesome teacher and I have learned more from your videos than some of the classes I have paid for!
Loved the pink blouse with that very pretty neckline design. I do have the Surefit Design system and I may just try and make my own pattern. I kind of wish you had showed us how you drafted the pattern so we could follow along.
Hello Joy You are so much fun making patterns and getting the fit so perfect When you started to sew with your 1130 I got real excited I have a 1130 that I sew on all of the time I bought it new way back when it was new 1980 something My machine has been repaired and fingers crossed it keeps going I would definitely pay you a fortune for that machine to have a backup machine Wish that you were closer I am here in Canada, just enjoying your video Happy sewing Take care ❤️
Joy, you are such a talented seamstress! When I was in college (back in the 70's) I was a home ec major and in one of my classes we had to make our own patterns for an outfit. IT WAS SO HARD. LOL. You are amazing at what you do, and how you alter patterns and clothing. I think I stick to quilt making because it's mostly straight stitching when piecing. Anyway, thanks for all your encouragement in sewing! Also, I praise the Lord along with you!
So nice to know. Thank you for your comment. I LOVED Home Ec, and it was horrible when our government took it out of schools along with patriotism and the Bible.
@@Joy4650B Yes, I think it is tragic they took Home Ec and other hands on classes out of schools. Generations of young people don't know how to do anything with their hands...except play video games.
I love, love, love your pink blouse, both of them. And the lace is gorgeous. I hope I can find it at my Hobby Lobby store. You look great in all of them. The #1 red blouse, I would change the collar to white, for me. I love your videos, I learn so much from you, thank you. God bless. ❤
Kenneth, the owner and designer of Itch to Stitch, names her patterns after places she has visited with her husband. I like the pink sleeveless blouse on you.
Joy it is sooooo good to see you! Thank you for sharing you skills. You make me laugh so much, your sewing skills are astounding. I think your muslins are outstanding. God bless you!
Hi Joy. I really like this top you are doing and I think pink suits you very well. I don't know why you say otherwise. Any ways we all have our lives and dislikes I guess. Sending ❤ all the wayl from the middle of the Mediterranean. Xx
Thanks for getting off that pill. Great to see you. It makes me happy. The problem with weeds is, they have stickers, ( at least here in Phx,) Pink top is really pretty. The style of the design may need a solid or low volume print to show off the cut. sleeve added makes the collar design less important. I know you want a sleeve, but the design is so classy with the neckline feature, that it should dominate. Just a thought. you are a great garment maker.
The modification of SureFit is a really interesting style! Anxious to see the final design. You’re sure flexible going between houses! I like your blue blouse and now will watch the rest….
PLEASE show us the other video! I really would love to see how you used your Sure Fit Designs kit to come up with this copy and how you recreated the collar. I really think that pink looks nice on you. Can't wait to see your striped version! Awesome job!
I totally love this design. You are very talented to create your own pattern. The sleeveless is perfect on you - it is my favorite. I noticed the horizontal stripes' do not go all the way across the center front panel on the ready to wear. That a-symmetrical design is striking with the stripes', but would be hard to create. Thanks for sharing your humor, knowledge and inspiration.
Thank you Lois. Phylly and I are working on another design. It is so much fun. Modlily has hundreds of tops to look at. I am so tempted to buy one or two, but I know they won't fit and are probably cheap fabric for the prices.
Joy, you look great in all the tops, but my favorite was the pink sleeveless. On screen here, it Doesn’t make you look orange. I have that blue striped long sleeve and it is a little big and I’ve been thinking how I could cut some out. You gave me ideas.
Joy it is so much fun to watch you. Can you guess where Joy is today, lol. I love all 3 of the blouses and you should wear them. I would love to see you sewing.
Oh Joy, you really are a joy. The final pink sleeveless blouse looked perfect. It fitted really well and looked great. You’re a very accomplished seamstress and you really stuck at getting it to fit. I look forward to seeing your striped version. Your comment about your 2nd mannequin being a bit short had me laugh out loud. 🤣🤣
It's call Hording. I have a neighboard. He ask if I wanted some fabrics. He got me yards and yards. I am using them. And also the serger threads. It's very nice to see you. The pretty blouse pattern has a panel at front that goes on the cross way. I love to see you doing the patterns.
You did a good job making the top like the picture. Agree the sleeve doesn't look the same. Maybe because she did white lace against white fabric .. that made it blend well. The red and white flower top look great. Love that collar on the pink and red tops.
Always look forward to your videos. You always make me laugh. I like the blouses you have made. Definitely would wear the pink sleeveless and the floral. Lucy will love the pink with lace.
Fabric-holic is the word you were looking for I think Joy 😂🤣😂 just love the neckline …and the lace on #3 …gorgeous lace ..what a shame after all that hard work you don’t like #3 ..but #2 is lovely sleeveless and #1 looks very smart 😘
Hello Joy it's so good to see you today. Say hi to Jerry for me. I love the top you just made it's a beautiful top and it looks good on you, you really know how to fit yourself very well and l know that comes with practice over the years. I love you my friend, don't be a stranger. Lots of Love and Peace ✌️❤.
I LOVE the sleeveless version of the pink top! I REALLY love the neckline, the best! 😍 We would worry about SQUATTERS, if nothing else! It is getting awful all over the US, due to HIGH RENTS & the open borders. 😢 We are here in PHX, AZ, and it is a big problem.😭
I like the sleeveless version and I think you look great in that pink. Definitely wearable. I don't see where you think you're orange. I think the lace on the sleeve looks 'too cutesy' to me, but some people would like it. I believe that extra wide bias tape is meant for crib blankets.
Oh my oh my oh my. I'm 80 and have just decided to try and make something that actually fits me. I am so tired of trying and trying. It is discouraging to see that you, with all your experience, make things that don't turn out.I'm not ready to give up, but it is all pretty discouraging.
Try to enjoy the process of GETTING THERE. Most everything I make turns out. If I would make the tried and true patterns only, I wouldn't have any problems. I always like to try something new though.
Joy, I haven’t needed reflux meds in a year and a half. I cut out carbs-for two months I only ate meat and fat. I got tired of that so I added back some fruits (pretty limited fruits) and green veggies. I occasionally have a dessert-but not too often. I NEVER CUT OUT COFFEE! However, I don’t use creamer or sugar. I hope this helps! BTW-I love the top-wear that thing!
