Corals can breed. So if they could begin a scientific program in the hope of breeding tougher coral species that could survive some changes in the changing climate. The money for that kind of research could still be a problem.
@triccele
@triccele 4 года назад
The problem is the temperature of the water itself. Warmer oceans lead to coral bleeching, which is really serious
@youshcrimp6350
@youshcrimp6350 4 года назад
@@triccele Breeding corals to be hardier in higher temps and lower ph would help, that's why most corals die and some don't. Some are hardier than others. We need more sensitive corals to be bred to be hardier by fragging them and subjecting slowly to a more hostile environment. Via Higher temps lower Ph and different current speeds in a tank. Then we can try releasing them after a couple generations and see how they do.

@@OST1350 Just so you know Climate does not affect what goes on in the Ocean. the main thing that affects what goes on in the Ocean is the Earth's core which Changes its temperature witch the Earth's core is Heating up witch why the Ocean temperatures are rising and why the Coreal is not able to survive in these Heated environments. Climate has nothing to do with it.

Not all seas or waterways are calm. Some areas of the ocean suffer storms where gardening would be more detrimental since the idea is to take away and later on replace. With storms, the shelf where they are placed will be washed away or fall over. Ironically reefs soften the blow of waves especially from storms.
