Wonderful tone and articulation... On sax tenor, I almost thought that I have been listening to Nino Tempo or Stan Getz. I adore this tune, and shall endeavor to learn to play it - on sax alto a la Julian "Cannonball" Adderley.

Don't worry about your Flute. Intonation was spot on. Most of us go sharp when we double (forcing it to be loud). You reminded us that each has to be played on its own terms. Enjoyed your playing . Thanks & all the best to you.

Matthew, thanks for inspiring me to get back to Flute. Clt/ Tnr = main horns but with a local Musical the Flt part ended up on my stand. Transpose or play it on Flt? It required Jazz phrasing & that gave me some leeway not to be perfect. Now practice starts with Flt. The breath control has helped to make other instruments resonate (a centred tone without blowing your guts out). Thanks for that & the proof is in your playing. You've got it & thanks for sharing it.

really good, and good job on the flute after 5 hours. I might try lowering the mic or tipping it so the head is more towards the bell.

Lovely tone on the Sax, I'd love to know how you get the subtones on the really low notes... I also play tenor, but main instrument is guitar, also play the flute, try recording the flute with the mic above you, it works for me Enjoyed your playing...Keep 'em coming...
