Of all of Buffy/Angel's cast, I always loved how much Cordi's character arc highlighted her growth (Despite some 'shakiness' at the end of Angel). Love that you work so hard to keep things alive. Awesome work as always - be well, and stay amazing!
Eek I love that you find unexpected Taylor songs for the subject matter! It never occurred to me to apply this to Cordy, but it is perfect! And of course you did such an amazing job! I love the beginning of "til the battles picked me" showing the way Cordy was pulled into this violent world. /cries/ Aaww "the war of words I shouted in my sleep" it always hurts seeing her in the hospital bed screaming in the s1 finale! Great voice over about being poor for "high heels break"!! I knew you would use her falling in Lover's Walk, and the way you juxtaposed it with her getting ready for the dance, literally on a pedestal, was so gut wrenching! Lmao "I really hate dating" uh oh you are offering up proof of a certain theory you and I love...hehehe I do love that the first "all about you" focused on her friendships with Wesley and Angel! And omg I just about died at the Cangel angst for "I must look better in the rearview" with Angel looking on at her and the gang from afar at the hospital!! All the feels! Yay a show with literal swords for "I dropped my sword" bahaha love that! The use of Pylea for "down the rabbit hole" was flawless! Eep and Cordy realizing Gru is the wrong guy and she's in love with Angel! 😍😍😍 Oh I SO adore the choices you made for "no more keeping score" showing the way she used to value money and shallow things and the way the world sort of ripped that all away from her and she beyond rose to the occasion and grew as a person! Gah! I thought the contrast of her basically bullying Buffy to showing her complete support and compassion by agreeing to drive her home no questions asked was one of my favorite moments!! Again showing how much Cordy grew even on btvs and also the way that her mean girl facade kind of was just that: a facade. When push came to shove she was always a good person who was there for people when they needed it. /sobbing/ Following up that awesome Buffy/Cordy moment with a brilliant Lilah/Cordy scene was so great! "Your nemesis will defeat themselves before you get the chance to swing" awesome choice of Lilah shooting Billy there!!! Aaww and Angel is as rare as the glimmer of a comet in the sky. I love you using Somnambulist there cause she points out how Angel did something so many people never do: change. And aaww "he feels like home" the scene of them so domestic lying in bed feeding their kid. Like gah cutest shit ever!!! 🥰 "Long story short I survived" WE WILL LEAVE IT AT THAT!!! CORDY SURVIVES. THE END. I don't care what bullshit was written in canon. Cordy survives! I knew as soon as I saw the title of this video that this line would get to me! "How bout that thank you" "and you're welcome" aaaahhh great job making that parallel!! But yeah love you ending with her smile in WITW. That's the smile Angel is going to see everyday of their long human life together. Yep yep. ❤️ Beautiful job on this hun! It's so emotional! Ok but the final part of the song was so painful and difficult to do lol like the song ends on such a positive and peaceful note and unfortunately Cordelia's story did NOT (thought obviously it SHOULD have) like the "long story short I survived line" was SO painful because she did NOT! It is also the only part of the song that tragically doesn't fit the character's journey so it was frustrating on an emotional and editing level LOL. Like I was legit so sad on all these levels and did not know what to put for the final bit lol. I actually love that you mentioned the final scene I ended with, her smile in WITW, because I changed out the final clip a couple times because I didn't know how to ultimately end it but then I decided that the best way to end it would just be Cordy looking beautiful doing her signature smile, the way we all remember her best. The song doesn't describe her canonical ending but it absolutely describes the ending she SHOULD have gotten.

Like would you just cut the last line or do like an AU thing or something, but I think you did it the best way you could actually! You incorporated You're Welcome but then ended it with the smile so it's like we know that canonically it didn't end that way, but the message of how it SHOULD have is there and you're honoring what we love most about her! So yeah, I am not surprised that it was a struggle for you on how to end it, but you did a great job! 💜
I agree loved Cordelia’s journey from btvs and on angel. In my head her story has a better ending, more deserving of all the pain she endured and how she grew so much from that girl she was in Buffy season 1. She went through growth during Buffy and that just was pushed a million times further in angel series. I was always rooting for Cordy. She is beautiful and well rounded by where we last see her character. And this video just shows a lot of how much of a badass she becomes but also her natural style, flair and many hairstyles and how she pulls off anything and everything. I did always like her smile, the actress who plays her, in these clips, just reminded me how classically beautiful she shines here. Bits with her hair curled, when she’s more dressed up, even when she cries and is stressed, Cordelia’s face and essence is just a strong girl, beautiful. Her story in its entirety is rather sad. But it was a ride just seeing what she went through. This edit just reminded me how she definitely embodies the saying you grow through what you go through. Cordelia underneath her persona, was always caring, real, helpful and a loyal friend. She made the angel characters better and she was funny and real in btvs. Cordy is great. In my mind she does survive because she deserved to!🪽💓
