My own take on a Corellian-made Frigate. This was kitbashed from Daniel Andersson's excellent CR90 model, also featured here. The music is "Coming Up" by Antti Luode
These ships were designed and assembled very quickly by the rising New Republic to take on Imperial Class-546 Cruisers and Arquitens-Class Command Cruisers. While they proved devastating in combat against these foes, the project was abandoned as the Starhawk and other newer battlecruisers came online.
Although it's eight light turbolaser turrets have impressive coverage, this frigate was primarily designed for broadside attacks from it's heavily armored central gun deck. When fully charged, each gun could unleash several powerful shots in quick succession, easily overwhelming Imperial shields.
The ship also featured a compact flight deck running along the belly, able to support a squadron of fighters for long-term patrols.
