Ever notice how with rock musicians, there's not nearly as much of the bullshit and competition between performers? It's a more inclusive community where they would rather work together interchangeably for good music than deal with the politics of other music genres. It's such a wonderful thing :)
You ever find yourself in a new city/country! Seek out the muso's! They will always see you right! :) Being a musician has never hurt me on my travels!
this is one of the worst takes i've ever seen about music. as if artists aren't doing collabs with cross genres all over the music industry at the moment. get over yourself with your elitist mentality towards rock and metal. i'm a huge metalhead but this is just a laughably pathetic take.
This is not a channel, it is a sandwich true, it's funny though cuz a fan said "C sharp" and he was like "no that's stupid" and it actually was C sharp
Slips up and can't remember the right chord, no shits given by the crowd. That's a sign of TRUE fans AND a REAL musician. No ones perfect, but if you're real and honest, the fans with stick with you, NO MATTER WHAT. Awesome.
It's not even a change, it's just breaking free from the personality he created with Slipknot. People need to understand that Corey is a real person and is not #8 in Slipknot. He's a man with a family with a diverse taste in music, and a truly amazing human being. I remember talking to him years back on the old Stone Sour Board and he turned me onto Mr. Bungle, he's a very, very deep person and I'm glad he's doing stuff like this - it shows how talented he truly is.
***** I just checked with my guitar and he plays a C# and he is in standard tuning. Who looks like a dumbass now. "Don't tell him what to do" - stupidest comment ever,
He plays the song in C#. I'm not arguing there, but the note he got stuck on in the pre-chorus is a C. He's also tuned half a step down. Check your guitar again.
Bruce Dickinson, Geoff Tate, Chris Cornell, Sebastian Bach, Miles Kennedy, Axl Rose, Rob Halford. Yeah...they're all "terrible" singers. Your friend is an idiot.
Guys that only use autotune are the ones that are not good singers. There are many metal musicians that are good singers, and not all of them are doing just screamings all the time.. there are many metal musicians that sing really well and also have a nice melodic voice
This is a guy that must truly enjoy preforming. I have never seen anyone like him. The guy could sing just about anything and make it sound good. Just a guy and his guitar. It's nice to see that he doesn't need all the dramatics to preform.
tmsnohio I'm grew up when slipknot drop and they ruled the world. I never liked it. Now 16 years later I'm like wow this dude in amazing both his own gig and slipknot.
Corey is a fucking legeng been a huge fan of all his work since 2000 all those people i could never convince at collage he was amazing and more than just "noise" 😁😁
Corey when with Slipknot : Put on a slasher mask and be that one cousin your mom always told you not to mess with Corey when he is alone : that chill uncle that always slips some cash everytime you met him
Corey Taylor is way cool be it Stone Sour, Slipknot or solo, if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing. This is the same guy who sings Heretic Anthem , such versatility :D
The more I see and hear of Corey Taylor, the more impressed I am. An astonishing vocalist, a gifted musician and someone who has battled serious alcohol dependence and come out the other side. He very much reminds me of Dave Grohl in that they both have this brilliant sense of humour amid all this talent. Just a very cool human being and someone who's the real deal. The world's a better place for people like Corey and Grohl.
Corey Taylor really is a talented singer too many people dismiss him because he's slipknot frontman but to me that shows just how much range and talent the guys got!
It's so cool hearing something like this at a huge foo fighters concert an then here, and hearing that it still has the same power. Great music is beautiful
corey don't ever apologise for making beautiful music. even if you get it wrong sometimes. we owe so much to this guy. (i know he won't read hah but still)
he did, he did a mini tour when he brought his book out, the ticket were like 15 quid. so pretty cheap it sold out really quick tho. i didnt get tickets but a couple of my friends did. they said it was brilliant
I have heard Coreys voice almost every single day for 10-12 years now either via RU-vid, Radio, or CD's and it hasn't nor will it ever get old. I still get goosebumps even after hearing the same song 100 times.
This rare live gem shows Corey Taylor one-manning some fave tunes, including this Foo Fighters classic "Everlong". Ya know, it would be easy to go straight for the jugular on Corey's flurb at the transition when he struggles to find the chord. But that is what makes him SO FUCKING COOL! This series of one-man shows were nothing about superstardom spotlighted, and EVERYTHING about a guy who loves music, having a singalong with some nondescript friends.....i.e. the audience. Ya, we love this song too, Corey!
This and several other songs I love to hear Dave sing clean the WHOLE song, like Corey does.! Dave has a killer sweet clean voice.... But he's ALWAYS gotta scream half of them all
U guys, If U aint heard 'from can to can't' its got Corey and Dave Grohl both playing on it . I'd recomend it to each and everyone of U its one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. So yeaif U ain't heard it - 'From can to can't' , I strongly recomend U write it in the search bar above.
A lot of people forget music isn't being a skilled musician, or knowing more than somebody else, music is art, its a form of expression and if you have a love for music and have a soul to express people can hear that in you music which is why slipknot is a good band to me, and it shows by how much work they put into their songs, and Corey is just paying homage to a friend that he looks up to, I would do the same thing if I was in his place.
Its drop D tuning with the walkdown 3hits on the A string from 4th fret to 5th, 7th, 9th, 2 hits on 10th and one on 9th then D power chords on 9th 7th and d chord for the chorus
I love Corey, and I really do. Saw him live when I was fourteen and I can say for sure that Slipknot is the best live band. HANDS DOWN. Awesome talented man!!
If you ask me, error has value in live performances. It exposes the humanity of the musician, and allows him/her to be more relatable. And the way Corey reacts to it here is so cool because he doesn't put himself over everyone else as the musician. He really sounds more like he's just messing around while hangin with his buddies.
