To be fair, Lzzy (or Corey for that matter) would be a better choice for any band than almost any other singer. Plus, (unpopular opinion but fuck it) Axl was kinda meh at his best, and has been utter shit for years.
I actually liked Axl in AC/DC. I really, really didn't think I would, but I did. And then ... this. Whatever this is. This happened. And now I can't really remember why I thought Axl did so well. She probably wasn't even alive when this song came out... but she just made me think that Rock and Roll might not be dead quite yet.
You should check out her band Halestorm, and yep, you'll be convinced that Rock and Roll is not dead yet...it just stopped being mainstream and is hidden below a pile of techno, pop and shitty music.
+Kusan X I checked them out on iTunes, and picked up a badass version of "I want you!" That's a supercool Beatles song from a million years ago. Really excited to see where they take this.
damn ... dont get me wrong this version is damn awesome but the left guy with that guitar and cigarette...im not gay or something but thats one handsome guy!
Lzzy sings to the material that HALESTORM writes. Lzzy has sang softer songs during her concerts by herself and sounded far more beautiful than Amy Lee. Evenasance's music all sounds the same. Amy Lee never changes up her voice. All sounds the fucking same….. Boring….. Halestorm is a band that will get you pumped up and ready to go…. Corey Taylor has a very powerful voice and can sing damn near anything. Corey's music can make you cry one minute and then condemn you to break a chair against a wall the next….. Fuckin A!!!!!!!!
Drescher1984 By watching any of her videos/ interviews she seems so laid back, and I think for Corey Taylor to say that they are one of those bands that come one in every million live! He said that they just don't get done justice that they need a better producer or director or which ever one it is! I respect Corey's view because his range and his loyalty to his fans are very impressive! Not to mention, that not many people can scream like in Slipknot and then sing songs like Hesitate in Stone Sour! He still has that killer scream as well in their newest album .5 The Gray Chapter!
this would be so much more badass if it was electric rather than acoustic. don't get me wrong it's still great but if you're gonna have Lzzy singing this with that power then it should really be electric
ChernovFan100 This isn't the best AC/DC song of all time. Hell, you'd have to argue about it even being the best song on Back in Black. Corey & Lzzy definitely rocked it, though.
I'm not gonna lie when i first saw this and that it was my 2 favorite people in existence playing the 1st song I learned to play on guitar I shit myself. They're both freaking intense with vocals, Lzzy's freaking the perfect woman and Corey is metal Jesus I just can't get enough of it. They really gotta do more together I love these guys. Sorry for the fanboy moment
That girl is a fucking phenom! She rocks it! She is undoubtedly the only female equivalent of Kevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot. She sings just like him. Except Lzzy does have a more soulful side. One which I dont think Kevin ever did. Hale Hale Rock n Roll!
@@Mrsingingdude1 Well it was completly spontaneous. Corey Saw Lzzy backstage and ask her if she want to join for a song. So she said yes and the first song they both knew from bock was this. SO of course a singer who rehearsed with the bands for hours and hours knows which knows he has to sing. Also speaking of terrible vocie, heave you ever heared the vocal only of AC/DC?
Axl sang way better than this. Even if he sounded vocally inefficient sometime, people come to watch musicals legends colaborating and preforming together. This is what appeals to them not some wannabe rockstars trying so hard to make themself look cool.
While i tend to disagree with the whole idea of produced music, have you heard Gaga before she was Gaga, when she was just Stefani Germanotta? She is amazing, she still is. But so long as people listen to any kind of band, they will remain the future of music, no matter how small that part may be. But in a big world, there is space for everything and more.
We've fucking seen what happens when you put Grohl and Taylor in the same recording studio, and here we see what happens when you bring Corey and Lzzy together... What the hell would happen if those three get together?
Lizzy is amazing! Such a sweetheart too! Saw them in concert, after the show they took the time to speak with each and every fan who wanted talk to them.
I dont know why or how , but watching this video made me like the happiest person in the world..... like that shit was magical , i woulda killed to be there
Lzzy & Corey are awesome! And I think it's absolutely cute that Arejay is filming the performance from the side of the stage and Detroit takes pictures ha! Love 'em!
Why does it not surprise me in the least that Corey is that good of a guitarist. I don't think there is anything that man cannot do. Oh, and Lizzy is pretty gdamn awesome as well and she easily has some of the best vocals in all of rock (not just female...all of it). Good rendition.
They've both expressed interest in singing together (Shadows has called Lzzy the best singer in modern rock on several occasions) but Matt doesn't want to bring in guest vocalists on any of their albums, so hopefully on Halestorm's next album we'll see something. The difficult thing that they're both bands that are notorious for being constantly on the road, so it's hard to coordinate free time to go into the studio. But we're all hoping and praying!
