The best thing is he has a great time on stage, gets the crowd involved, which makes a better show. He has an amazing voice! He could have any song thrown at him and he would nail it! and make it his own! Rock on brother!
Corey is one of the greatest vocalists of this time. That guitarist was so good tho. Corey started early but the guitarist was able to catch up and make it work within a matter of seconds. That my friends takes talent
+broken angel Maybe you will find a better man than him. You know... Your taste changes with the time and you might probably say in the future that he is not that amazing like you used to think. I guess you have known him for few months?
He is so hot, talented, funny, has a heart and soul. I'm just in love. After the 90's left I didn't think we would get much talent. But we got Corey fucking Taylor!
A friend of mine recently met Corey Taylor. He said that Corey was one of the most genuine, humble and grateful people he had ever met. Coming from a huge rockstar that has done so much it was welcomed surprise to see that he's still grounded. Corey, you fuckin' rock man. I have been a Slipknot fan since way back, but I love all the stuff you've been a part of. Keep it coming!!
Am I the only one who wants to hear a studio version of this? Corey nails the vocals for this. My favourite singer doing one of my all time favourite songs
It’s awesome how a metal band and/or singer can totally nail any form of rock or old school metal song whilst not getting any credit for their talent ! Corey Taylor can nail any rock or punk song and nobody gives him the credit his genius deserves x
Good God almighty...... This man is amazing. I love his singing in Slipknot and Stone Sour, but this is fricken amazing. He needs to do a cover album or something. If he already has, I need to know where to obtain such a thing.
It's all the same, only the names will change Everyday, it seems we're wastin' away Another place where the faces are so cold I drive all night just to get back home I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive Wanted dead or alive Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days The people I meet always go their separate ways Sometimes you tell the day By the bottle that you drink And times when you're all alone all you do is think I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive Wanted (wanted) dead or alive Oh, and I ride Oh, and I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted dead or alive I walk these streets A loaded six-string on my back I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back I been everywhere, still, I'm standing tall I've seen a million faces And I've rocked them all I'm a cowboy, on a steel horse I ride I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive I'm a cowboy, I got the night on my side I'm wanted (wanted) dead or alive And I ride, dead or alive I still drive (I still drive) dead or alive Dead or alive, dead or alive, dead or alive, dead or alive
I went to desert uprising he was suppose to perform with stone sour there was a medical issue with a band member so he went alone.. He literally stole the whole show alone.. Corey Taylor is Amazing and a nice person
+GT8686 He is really underrated singer amoung the metalheads, who usually thinks Slipknot's musicians are talentless... I really don't know why Slipknot is so much hated. I dislike most of nu metal music (yeah it's sounds commercial for me, really), but Slipknot is a big exception for me. They sound simply amazing even I usually listen to some death, black and thrash metal and I dislike nu metal and metalcore.
***** I think Slipknot is hated cuase they dont have the guitar gods in it like Metallica or Iron Maiden and because its not the "true metal". btw Richie Sambora is really overrated to day.
GT8686 A lot of metalheads think that good music has to be really complex (having intros, which take about 2-3 minutes, solos, which take about 5 minutes, and outros which take another 5-6 minutes). I disagree with these people. You can find good music in the simplicity. It's hard to show emotion in simple way, like Slipknot does. I love listen to some good black, death or thrash metal, whose fans hate bands like Slipknot, but I love that, what Slipknot does with music. There is no scheme like in thrash metal bands. They play what they want - If they want to play some thrash metal elements in the beginning, they do that; if they want to play some speed metal elements at the end, they do that. Do you know what I mean? And I seriously love how Corey's voice can be so dramatic and emotional in their songs - in Scissors he sounds like he cuts himself; in Snuff he sounds like he breaks down; in The Negative One he seems to be really angry and sad at the same time. I appreciate rock legends like Dio. His voice is so powerful and amazing... But Corey's voice wins for me, because of how much moods, which he can create during singing. And some list of vocalists showed that he has 5 and half octaves (5 octaves and 5 1/2 notes, nearly 6 octaves) and he has the second highest vocal range in modern music by this list. He is really underrated, and this is probably caused by being close-minded by metalheads.
