Yep. As I said recently to a gay friend "The closest thing I've ever come to understanding the way you feel about men is listening to Corey Taylor sing live." lol
Yeaaaaah when you can go do this, 30-30/150, and the Spongebob Squarepants theme in the same show (as I just watched on another video) nobody gets to question your range of material. lol
KRH 1213 he said he wants to make a solo album but it's gonna be on his time and not everyone else's time. Basically if slipknot and stone sour are on a hiatus and he has no other projects going on that is when it will happen
You all probably dont give a shit but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I would love any tips you can give me.
This is how you cover a song like that. Focus on the melody and sing for the sake of the song, not just to show of your voice and accent like many other tend to do. This is the most respectful cover I listened to by far.
Yeah, it's always been unpopular in my social circles, but I've always said that I feel like SlipKnot is a waste of his real talent. They do what they do well, but to take a voice with that much range, precision and emotion and limit it to growling and screaming 70% of the time is borderline criminal. It's like owning the Mona Lisa and keeping it in a closet 5 days of every week.
Am i the only one who thinks corey should release an all cover album? Im yet to hear him cover a song that i disliked. I know stone sour did 2 cover eps. But i want a full album damn it lol.
MrAO1988 Agreed. I think he'd love it too. I am waiting for his 2nd QI appearance, my favourite TV show, Alan Davies & Corey - that's like Nirvana to me.
People comment about which generation had the best music. I say if anyone covers you or your band then you know who has the best. From CCR to STP, every generation has it's greats.
This mean so much to me. Corey is my favorite singer and this song means the world to me. My dad and i belt this song out together. It is our song. Thanks Corey
I never met the man, but Corey seems like good people. I recently moved to the south..."the salt of the earth" is a term I've learned while down here - he seems to match that description. A good human.
There is absolutely nothing Corey sings that isn't better than the original. Im old man 42 ,always thought Steve Perry was the best id hear, and im a metal head. Corey Taylor has the best voice ever. Nothing he can't sing. He kills the original version of everything. Best I've heard ever, him and that Wilson chick from heart absolutely are the best
Never seen em, was going to last time they were here but work stomped that fire out pretty quick. I have babies and my landlord would not understand that I didn't have his money because I got fired because I want to see Slipknot instead of going to work. Next time for sure. only thing I don't like is I wasn't really crazy about anything past Iowa. do they play a lot of songs off of the self-titled and Iowa?
Don't know if you're still interested, but I saw them last year and they devoted a good amount of time to Iowa and self titled. I remember them playing Disasterpiece, Sic, Spit it Out (obviously), Eyeless, Heretic Anthem, Left Behind, Surfacing, and Wait and Bleed.
