Thanks John real deal Miller for sharing this way of doing things. I followed what your said about adding my malt when i add my yeast. The likker has come out different, I distilled it 3 times, once in the thumper and then again from a pot. When I tasted it i was so exited i called my son. Yeah i called my son and said this smokey maintain way of making whiskey is the best. Thanks John Miller.

John good stuff! I been brewing beer for years and would like to get into making quality hooch! Looking a starting off with a 15 gallon system of course I have a 7 gallon beer brewing system I could easily convert to a boiler. Maybe I missed it but are you not adding any other barley, wheat or two row? I saw 3 inches of cracked corn, 50 lbs of sugar 1 gallon of malted corn, but missed any other ingredients if any? Thanks for the inspiring videos:) If you know how to hook a brother up clear out in New Mexico with a good economical still I’m all ears!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Hey brother ! It's around 25 to 30 lbs of corn ground course a gallon of malt in a gallon Ziploc bag around 3 to 4 lbs dry weight I only use red star yeast it's just better but yours will work just fine . Do your corn and malt your way use your yeast just use 1 lb of sugar per gallon of mash it' will work

That's up to what I'm mashing in . That video covers a simple corn mash with a malt corn as a nutrient. I have other recipes that I use barley malt and wheat malt that are more exact . Usually 2 ib per 10 gallon in some and more in others I'm going to go over some in a upcoming video. Like a whiskey kit I sale is 2.5 lbs of malted 6 ROW to 5 lbs of corn
