As usual looks delicious Dave. My mouth is watering again! Would be good for breakfast or for a quick supper with some cabbage. Thanks and have a good day.
A really simple recipe, well done. All in the one pot, just the way I like it. No faff, boiling potatoes, then putting in oven for a crust. It’s hash, it’s meant to be rough cooking.
WOW, WHAT A COINCIDENCE, I JUST MADE CORN BEEF HASH, SCRAMBLED EGGS AND CHEESE FOR SATURDAY MORNING BREAKFAST SO DELICIOUS, THANK YOU FOR SHARING HOW YOU DO YOUR HASH. YOU ALSO CAN DO A ROAST BEEF HASH, TOO. I HOPE THAT YOU HAD A AWESOME THANKSGIVING, MAY GOD BLESSINGS,COURAGE AND STRENGTH CONTINUE TO BE WITH YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS 🙂💖🙏🙏🙏
Hi dave we do ours a diffrent way we boil the potatoes add milk butter mash them roughly then had the cornbeef and continue mashing till it's a nice smooth corned beef ash usually have it with sausage peas egg and gravy and beetroot definitely going try your version and as usual thanks for sharing
Baked beans cooked with a diced onion on toast will do me for brecky any day Dave. Give it a try one day old mate. P.S. plenty of black pepper of course.
Dave my friend, starting to heal fairly good from my accident, very nice recipe & yes on all of us, but my wife will want scrambled or boiled eggs on top or the side, no runny yolk for her( she ain't quite right, lol), hopefully I will be back in the saddle soon & a regular viewer/poster, sorry but has been a long 7-8 weeks getting this far, keep your stick on the ice pal & have not been able to say/post that in quite a while, btw, deli sliced corn beef in 1/3 inch cuts works well, I use the box grater using the holes in it to mince/shred it down & toast with real butter, unsalted on the side
Hey Steve. Glad to year you're back up and about again. Was worried about you. Yeah, the corned beef has was good. I like the ole egg runny though. If it's not, they guys at the lodge toss them at each other. Hope you recovery is speedy and you're feeling better my friend.
Hi, i eas looking for something different because mine always had too much liquid, took forever to brown and potatoes mushy. Diced onions snd garlic👍, i grated so helps, i boiled potatoes, another problem. I cook a corned beef in crockpot no liquid fir hash, i made with your improvements and not wet mush lol. I never tried canned corned beef but with prices will check it out, used to brine my own and bacon, pastrami.. but even 10 yrs ago got too expensive. Just dicing onions and garlic, not boiling potatoes made me a killer hash, tyvm👍
Thanks for the ingredients. I like a more potato with mine, because I am used to that. Same goes for potato sausage. I use abut 2 times the potato as meat. More potato. :) I Love potatoes. Eating fries as I type LOL
Ah Dave, you're a star 😃 That's a childhood memory right there. Admittedly, my parents wouldn't add garlic. Our version came with HP sauce. Hope all's well with you and yours?
Hey Graham. Thanks so much. Yes, mine too. Yeah, the garlic is just me. LOL. I love HP sauce though. Completely slipped my mind. Now I have to get some. Hope you are well my friend.
@TheCooknShare Yeah, Dave myself and the pooch are doing great 👍 HP sauce is one of the few foodstuffs Polo doesn't like so I always have a supply handy 😀 😉
Can't believe I missed this one! Apologies! 😄 So....how about canned corn beef hash? If you brown it up w/an onion, season it, & serve it with an egg? Is this acceptable?
