Corned Beef Silog | Filipino Food & Korean Reaction 

Finally, someone who used purefoods corned beef 😌, 3x tastier than any brand 😋

Expensive breakfast (purefoods is one of the most expensive localcorned beef). Hahaha. Usually, corned beef is cooked with potatoes so that the whole family can eat. Hahaha. I'm hungry.

Delimondo corned beef is a must try. My all time fave Filipino corned beef. Medyo mahal nga lang, pero sulit. 😉

Sautee garlic then onion first, then after about couple of minutes you add the corned beef and cook it for 3 mins

I love my corned beef with potatoes, bell peppers, tomatoes, chopped cabbage, tomato paste or tomato sauce .. yum yum!

Silog meals can be upscale by having any side dishes and soups available, here in the Southern Tagalog, Atchara or Papaya Relish is usually a side dish, sometimes ensaladas if available, and any sour soup like those of Sinigang and Kinamatisan. I think you as Korean can add Kimchi and any other Korean Side Dishes if available.

I would recommend tapsilog and Longsilog, they're both delicious and savory

Me cooking silog meals: - make sunny side up eggs. - cook the main (tapa, daing na bangus, hotdogs, cornbeef etc). - make the fried rice in the same pan. Just so you wont have a lot of pans to clean and to also incorporate the flavours in the rice.

Yup, Filipino breakfast is good and yummy. Easy to make too.

Dude... A Soy-sauce-with-calamansi-and-chili dip will take that experience to the next level, I kid you not.

Adding more onions to corned beef tastes really good. Try it next time. Good choice of corned beef purefoods. You don't need to add some salt on it. It's tasty already. Try Tosilog(tocino,sinangag,itlog)next time.😊

i think you will love corned beef sinigang which is corned beef chunks (usually homemade corned beef) in sinigang broth. Try sinigang na lechon, too :)

Tocilog - Tocino (sweetened pork belly) + fried rice + egg Another Filipino breakfast suggestion, if you haven't tried yet: Champorado (thick chocolate porridge) made with gluttinous rice + tablea (if you have them in Korea. It usually comes in big tablet shape. You can add until you reach the chocolate color.) then add some sugar (depends on your taste preference of sweetness) then serve it with a milk on top, not too much just poor a good amount, but milk is unnecessary so it's optional. If you do not have tablea, you can just replace it with a chocolate powder or cocoa powder then no need to add sugar if the powder is already sweet. Champorado is usually paired with Tuyo (dried fish)You can search more about champorado so you'll have more preference.

There's a lot of kind of silog in the philippines you can do it breakfast everyday.

Its funny that you've enjoyed PH Food. I bought a bottle of kimchi in the grocery and taught my mom that she can add the kimchi in the garlic rice and she's enjoying it! She now makes garloc kimchi rice everytime we have rice leftovers :)

You make me hungry hahaha...You know Filipinos are so creative,we cook cornbeef in alot of ways..cook with potatoes, cabbage,sayote,bottle gourd(upo) or patola (luffa)..also add in spaghetti or in Sopas..Tortang cornbeef(egg with cornbeef)

I suggest tapsilog (tapa + fried rice + egg). You can make tapa by pounding the beef into thin strips and marinate it with soy sauce, calamansi(Philippine lemon) or vinegar, garlic and magic sarap for one hour before frying.

there are many "silog" breakfast versions we have.. i'm sure you'd like them too.. if you're fun with white onion, it's also nice to cook it with corned beef.. it adds a little sweetness to the saltiness of the corned beef, just saute it half cooked to keep it a bit crispy still.

LONGsilog is... ( Longanisa + Sinangag ( tagalog word for Fried Rice) + Itlog (tagalog word for egg) = LONGsilog

I suggest you use measuring teaspoon or a salt dredger in seasoning or if you don't have one just use your hands :) That would have been salty if you don't remove the part with overseasoned salt.
