Thank you for sharing! I love all four species of local corvids, and getting to know some of them has been a delight and an honor. Truly, crows are more than simply sentient. Respect their agency and privacy, and you may make a friend in time! Eta: crows have words, phrases, etc, but it's closer to a rhythm and sound based syntax, like a song with tempo changes, you have to listen to both the notes AND the rests

Extremely interesting ! I live 30 km from Warsaw, Poland in rural area but also close to a small town parks where we observe - what I would call after watching this video - a big roost gatherings especially up from August -September. The constant flights and big group forage on the local fields is what has attracted my attention for years. In order to feed my brain to better understand what I am actually looking at, i finally landed here in this Cornell Webinar and I feel really enlightened about the crows behaviour and habits. I will definitely study further and also think about approach crows a bit by some treats so that they gonna observe me in turn. Huge thanks to both leading professors of the course as well as for the uploader!!

Fascinating. We humans, all too often, put ourselves above the other critters that share this rock with us. As we get to know more of them better we are learning, often to our chagrin, we ain't so special.

Thank you for this excellent webinar. Up here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Brimley State Park we have followed a crow family for years. I need to go get some peanuts for this year!

I'm in Washington state. I've just started paying real close attention to a murder with about 1000 count (!). They have personality, and have developed clicks within the murder.
