The comments in this section are horrific. If a person is too drunk or passed out from drinking and someone engages in sexual activities with them that is considered assault/rape. The other person has to coherently give consent. He had the responsibility to make 100% certain that she was aware of what was taking place and then he could have continued if she agreed to it. Also, a woman could have been kissing a man and got butt naked in bed. She has the right to stop if she wants. Amy didn't have that choice because she was out.
What was comical was his daughter had nearly drank herself to death and all he's worried about is how he paid to park for two hours haha 😄 😅 😆 him and Tracy go so well together though.
He didn't he was drunk 2. When you go to the club drinking nine times out of 10 the person you hook up with is going to be half-drunk and you are too. She had a responsibility just like him. The moral of the story is don't get so drunk when you don't know what you doing. She was so drunk when she woke up the next day she wasn't sure she even had sex. But she wants him to ruin his life want him to go to jail. Because she chose to get drunk and not remember what the hell she was doing. If she was even part of the way sober this would not have happened.
@Carly Hawthorne he probably didn’t clock onto the fact that even when drunk there still needed to be consent and Amy wasn’t of clear mind to do that. Aaron now knows this but his terrified of what could happen next if he admits guilt. After everything he’s gone through with his dad he’s probably thinking he can’t cope if he went to jail. The sad thing he’s not prepared to accept he did wrong even if it wasn’t intentional. That’s his approach: he didn’t intend it. What the storyline is trying to convey is that rape isn’t just like a forced attack in the street or alleyway but can be done in different ways.
I've seen people in the comments saying how cool Tracy is for changing in the few years, but I'm going to give credit it to Steve he's not the type of a guy who likes to get his hands dirty but when loved ones are hurt, you find the courage to stand them off no matter how strong the accused is

I feel like Tracy has gone soft in her age I feel like if this was 10 years ago in 2013 or even 2009 the old Tracy would’ve been ready to start a fight with Aaron. Sort of wish the old Tracy was back in this storyline

Are you actually joking, so you would be ok with what he did in the real world, as this is fiction not reality. He crossed the line and raped Amy, she was passed out and had no way of consenting, that is rape. I've watched the whole story line, yes they were both drunk, she passed out, at that point he should of stopped, but no he carried on, that is rape.

But he was young and drunk also. I mean what do you have to do now fill out paperwork before you ask for sex. Make some type of deal or something like that. If a woman's passed out drunk, it's rape. You can't consent if your unconscious. I saw the episode where she was raped, he was definitely in the wrong. Women should be able to drink in their own home, and that's coming from someone who doesn't drink at all
@@the-toecutter from what I remember in the episode, Amy was drunk to the point she passed out. He took it upon himself to have sex (not consensual) with a woman who was passed out. He took her underwear off. You can tell when someone is passed out, drunk or not. I can't imagine it'd be remotely the same as having normal sex. The person isn't responding or moving of their own accord. I think it was out of character for him though, can't say I watch coronation Street much anymore
