Eva's Character changed so much from bratty and spiteful toward Leanne and anyone who came near Stella to start with, now she's really supportive and kind especially to her sister. Once Eva has Suzie and Toyah is back it's a full circle ⭕ moment.

Simon really does love his mother but he also loves and adores his grandfather Ken too. That hug or cuddle with Ken is proof of how much he loves and adores his grandfather. Simon admits he doesn't mean to do it. He gets so angry sometimes but Leanne ain't the problem. Simon needs help. Professional anger management help. And Ken will promise his grandson he will be there for him and love him and support him through this. Despite the fact that his father Peter ain't around which triggers some of the anger too.
I genuinely think that the only person not including peter ( he would have just laid down the law with simon) who wouldve got through to simon during the scene where ken, tracy and robert found out would have been deidre
The character of Simon was born of two caucasian parents, Peter and Lucy, Lucy dies of cancer. Peter and mostly Leanne raise him. In real life Alex Bain who portrays Simon, has a caucasian mother and a father who appears to be of east Indian descent, you can easily google this for confirmation.

I never thought I'd hate a kid so much. He was so annoying, frustrating, and I hated looking at his face and his facial expressions. And the way he spoke. I think it's safe to say I hated everything about him and its not because the actor plays the character well. I'd probably find the actor just as annoying as the character!!

When I was Simon's age, if I was caught missing school for no legitimate reason such as an illness, music festival, severe weather conditions, or school sanctioned sporting event/extra curricular activity, the school would call my parents or possibly the Police, face truancy charges, and be sent to a youth jail. In fact, back in the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s, if you were caught skipping school for no reason in my home Canadian province, Nova Scotia, a child would either face suspension or expulsion from school, or even sent to youth jail in Shelburne, Waterville, or Truro. These days, due to Canada's "Youth Criminal Justice Act", most kids committing criminal offences would be forced to serve Deferred Custody or Supervision Order with jail time if a youth doesn't meet the conditions. I think that Leanne should send Simon to jail for truancy. It sounds weird, but that's what happens in Canada.

Tbh it was a long time coming Peter was an alcoholic who kept pawning Simon off not to mention how many times Peter put Si's life in danger Peter and Leanne put him thru hell when they split up and kept moving him all over the place Then Peter took off, Deidre died, found out Leanne was a former prostitute And all that from age 6-11
