Great video! Nothing will change the recommendations you bring up: 1. Wash 🖐 hands 🖐 (20+ seconds! and twice if you want) after coming home, and after touching something from outside your house 2. Don’t touch face 🧑👦 3. Don’t shake hands 🚫🤝 4. Disinfect your cell phone often 🦠📱 5. If you feel fever cough, fatigue, get that checked out by Dr. 👩⚕️👨⚕️, as you normally would! #AlertNotAnxious
I always touch my nose and I can't stop it, it's because I have like little white bumps or something and I want to take them all out but it's too hard, they could be taken out but there's a lot of them
Quick question: Shouldn't you call your Dr. before coming to the clinic if you suspect that you have coronavirus to prevent spreading it in the waiting room?
@Dennis Feenstra But that's already happening. Citizens are making the crisis themselves because they're already emptying all types of stores. Germany is already extreme in this and I don't think that population are smart enough to not panic so it's better to fill up on some things (not too much) so you're not the only one that can't buy stuff.
I live in China, we have been in quarantine since mid January and I'm so happy that the city were I am, has 9 consecutive days without new cases! It means the quarantine works 👍 the red alert was downgraded to yellow last week 🎉
Sandra H our concerns are not the virus in the US. We are worried about supply lines ! We are from Florida and have seen empty shelves and it gets ugly. This could lead to big shortages over a much longer time frame to get things moving again. We stocked up for 2 months for us ,3 grown kids ( they are stocking up also ) and 3 grandkids. Food ,water ,and MEDS
Dr Mike: There is no such thing as an immune supplement Me: But what about my vitamin gummies? What if I take 3 instead of 2? Edit: this r/wooosh is for everyone who has said you can overdose on vitamin gummies
@@ericgraham4205 you'll die from one extra? Seems a little far fetched seeing as though I once took 2 different types of vitamin gummies accidentally overdosing without knowing for about a month or two. The reason why I didnt know was because I had regular vitamins and some other vitamin, not knowing they were basically the same thing
When I worked at Home Depot there was a woman who came uo to checkout without a mask, tissues in hand and told me she had the flu. I proceeded to ask her what the hell was wrong with her because (seeing i had a line) she was endangering the physical well being of everyone around her. She said, "Well I need this now." Really? Lol, my doctor was stumped on something I had come in with and ended up saying, "I'ma do what everyone else does... Google it." 😆😆 Then I ended up just using OTC meds to treat my condition.
It's not completely poo poo. Google is really stupid when you're researching symptoms. Thorough research accompanied by critical thinking (which most people googling are gonna lack) & a little bit of life sciences knowledge can make google useful tho.

"Those who try and turn a profit on this should be ashamed of themselves." *Thank you.* That is absolutely what people need to hear and reiterate every time an MLM/'Nutraceutical' salesperson opens their mouths during pandemics. Appreciate the updates and the science based approach you take to everything.
yes.In our country people have increased the cost of face masks and stored them as well so they can earn profit out of it.No one should fish in troubled waters. These people really should really be ashamed of themselves
You need to consider that if one tries to explain something abstract for the normal people, one need to use a language that is understood by everyone and adjust language. So... The doctor knows his audience.
@carbonated cats the sensitive bits will burn like fire. but i'm pretty sure it'll burn like fire regardless of gender when the tendies touch the alcohol
Lol. Move the line for customers further back and ask them to speak up from there. Then distribute their medications like they throw fish at a fish market. Lol. Man what a rock and a hard place you’re in. Be safe and thanks for what you do!
Our school had some policy thing mailed about covid-19, one of the things was wash your hands meanwhile we didn't have soap for over 3 months I think. They (or maybe it were some students) now finally put a hand wash soap from a supermarket in one bathroom and a picture with the quote "Wash your hands you detty pig." (That's why I think it were students) The other bathrooms have soap in the soap dispensers now (finally) Thanks for listening to my soap update Edit: the soap in the soap dispensers is like already foamy en feels like it's just water that's foamy (not possible but you get me)
In my school we have one soap bottle that is full of dead bugs that somehow managed to get in but not out. Unfortunatly, when it happened the bottle was almost full. And it obviously stayed full, cause no one wants to wash hands with dead bugs. But the fact that it's almost full made the cleaner go "oh its full" so that SHE'S JUST LEAVING IT WITH THE DEAD BUGS.
@@GippyHappy the supermarket soap pump is now thrown into a stall that's closed for who knows how long (probably bc its broken or some dead person is in there)
@Ruben Celiceo kind of. First shift is the morning shift usually starting around 4-6am to 12-2pm, second shift is the afternoon/evening usually going from 12-2pm to 8-10pm and third shift the late night early morning shift that goes from 8-10pm to 4-6am.

It's when your antibody successfully stop the virus from growing and or completely deliberated the virus. It can be seen when your body is not showing any more symptoms. And also for high infection rate viruses, healed person also has very low number of virus (or completely zero) and they can't infect anyone anymore.
if you are tested and are positive, you are quarantined and maintained on IV and Saline liquids to maintain electrolyte and vitamin levels at a defense rate in order for your immune system to fight away at the attackers. Once you have recovered, you will be tested once again: if you test negative, you will be tested once more and if you test negative again you are considered “recovered”, HOWEVER if you test POSITIVE again, precautionary measures will be taken to detain further increase and impairment of the lungs and respiratory system, more will be done to find out why the virus was not fought off. I am not sure which antibiotics are used but i assume that they are antibiotics used to aid WBCs (white blood cells) in fighting off viral respiratory infections.
@@susanb4654 While yes using a phone before bed does reduce the amount of sleep you get, teens naturally go to sleep later and get up later regardless. Early school start times ,especially in highschools, fights against the natural sleep cycle of teens and prevents them from getting enough sleep
Are you from South Korea or something? There is no way you are in the western school system and can't get at least 7 hours of sleep each night unless you have insomnia (you should have the time to sleep this much and still be able to study, do two workouts a week and still have some time for extracurriculars or just to chill, even though you might have to go to bed at 9 or 10 pm)...

I’ve been told that since I’m a young, relatively healthy person, I’ll be fine. That if I do get it, I’ll heal fine; but I’m so worried about those around me with respitory issues and older folks. My parents have smoked since they were young, and I would be crushed if they, or my grandparents, or older teachers I’ve become attached to are affected and the results become fatal.

Every people should wash their hands anyway, regularly. That what shocks me the most, people are so unfamiliar with hand washing... that’s way more scarier than the virus.
if this comment format were a person, I would smother it in its crib. I hate it. I hate its progenitors. Please. Please stop. It's so stupid. So so so stupid.
Actually no it's not. It can be a seasonal epidemic. Meaning that at a certain time of the yr in a particular region cases of it increases e.g in the US any time between late august thru February/march. A pandemic is when a new illness spreads rapidly worldwide around the same time. Flu/cold seasons may vary by region so it's not a pandemic because everyone in the world isnt observing the same spikes in increases of the disease all at once. And it isnt spreading rapidly worldwide. Like Doc. Mike said there r levels to it, if it doesnt fulfil those criteria then u can't call it a pandemic

@@thelegendaryt-rex4763 That is the opposite of what would happen though. If the virus kills all of its hosts, the virus will also die off. That is why virus often evolve to be less lethal. The best virus will have a very low mortality rate, high incubation period and be easy to spread.
