like how the pizza wizard's bolts used to give you the knight armor. They transferred that mechanic, in a way, to Kentucky Kenny's chicken wings giving you Firemouth form. One way you can see the game change over the years from "Wario Land clone" where getting "hurt" helped Wario progress, into more of its own thing.
"He's not gonna keep going back to the launcher every golf shot right? Surely it will be obvious after the second hit you're not supposed to do this. Oh." -me, just now
@@MrNickPresley Pizza Tower may have lifted _many_ Wario Land mechanics but Wario Land is absolutely not about going that fast at all in a speedrunning capacity, running up walls and keeping up extreme speeds of momentum, so much so that Pizza Tower overall core ends up being more Sonic-esque despite all the Wario Land mechanics.
Hey Woolie, if you’re reading this, the big issue with golf is you seem to have missed that you can also hit the ball by just dashing into it, which lets you speed through that level suuuper fast
It boggles the mind that he wont just try things out to see if they work. Like he'll just assume something is the way it is and never ever just try things to check. I swear there's been games where he hasnt even figured out what all the buttons do. Like I'm glad hes having fun and I still enjoy watching but how do you play games like this when you played games professionally for like a decade, I cant wrap my head around it.
i wonder if Woolie would ever play Outlaws. it's an old cowboy fps from lucas arts but it has that thing where you reload one pullet at a time in the middle of a gunfight.
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet (I'm watching these out of order) but when Jerma played this on stream he found out that Pepino's scream is from the same series of screams used for the Orphan of Kos from Bloodborne.
Spark: we're super surprised. We thought platformers being played with dpad was like, the norm. But everyone has played this with stick so far we've seen.
I had a great time watching Woolie fumble through the Golf level, and I had the exact same reaction when I realized you had to golf during pizza time. Game's great, but that level is a headache.
Kind of incredible how committed to not killing enemies and continuing his combo Woolie is, I can't tell if he just doesnt understand that big combos are a source of points for a higher score or if he thinks that ignoring them and getting to the goal faster is better
Points don't really matter until you start going for high ranks anyways. Not like Woolie has a chance of that on his first go around anyways, let him do whatever and enjoy the game.
Watching Woolie struggle in Golf was incredibly painful. The again ,black people rarely play golf. EDIT: How did Woolie even entered EVO if he took him a while to understand the concept of binding controls?
Impressive, very nice. Now let's see Paul Allen's racism That aside, are you really gonna act like the first golf man that people think of isn't Tiger Woods?
