Thanks alot, started 6 days ago and I thought it was common sense to not bother with subs for the first 5 of my echoes. Damage is too important and hunting for right subs would take forever at Data 15 lolz Thanks alot for your videos, you make the kinda content I like to watch
Unless they refresh it every patch. In PGR, they have an end-game that is not permanent (Babel Tower and other patch-long combat events). I prefer it to be permanent though just like how they have 3 rogue-likes in PGR.
@@hijodelsoldeoriente for me, it's one of the best "end-game" content that i ever played. Hope they make it permanent and refreshing every 15 days or month.
Thanks for mentioning the sub stat requirements per union level. I haven't seen this info before, and now I feel less pressured about rolling for stats at LVL 27!
No worries, Echo EXP is an insanely hard resource to acquire after the initial chests/exploration dries up. There is only enough free echo exp in the game to build up about 3 unit's worth of 5* echoes, assuming you completely clean everything out available. It absolutely is not worth it to look into substats until you have your teams up and running with proper skill/level investment and set effects with correct mainstats.
A lot of people go for maxing out their echoes bc they see content creators do it, however, they don't realize that, unlike a content creator who must push content so that they can make videos and guides, regular people can afford to wait. I for one did some rolls on my echoes, if the first two tuners gave Crit Dmg or Crit Rate, or both, then I would upgrade that echo to 25 with all substats, if not, then I will leave it at level 10 as a stat stick, I did this for both my main dps's at this point and with only the 4 point echo maxed out I was able to get 12 stars in ToA and grab those juicy gold echo tunners before the shop reset. Majority of Echoes can roll one of two sets, and it is full RNG which one it will be. Just make sure to check to see what elemental % set it gives and what sonata set it's for. They should always be matching, but double check to make sure you aren't grabbing "an electric birb with Fire% on fire set" for your electric DPS.
But guaranteed, guaranteed things in gacha is just pure gold for players, bcs random is evil, you can grind for years or spend a ton of money but don't get pieces that you need/want. After almost one year of playing Genshin I don't have good phys goblet for my Eula and Electro goblets mediocre too 😅
@@iforgetiamacat8348 I think you misunderstand what the item does then, because it only guarantees you the right mainstat on the set, you can still roll trash substats.
@@iforgetiamacat8348 Yes but getting the right main stat in this game isn't hard, nor is it necessary for some. Some people prefer a 4/4/1/1/1 build that is far easier to farm and doesn't even use 3 cost if you want 44% crit rate or additional crit damage rather than 60% elemental damage. I personally don't think farming 3 costs are that bad unless you're looking for ER on Moonlit clouds and healing rejuvination, then that is a nightmare since the drop rate seems far lower than elemental damage.
substats are completely irrelevant before Union 40, and only actually become important for Union 50+. You don't need to care about any of that atm, because it's much more important to actually get your teams up and running with proper mainstats. There is only enough free echo EXP to build up 3 character's worth of 5* echoes in the game right now, and it is insanely expensive waveplate-wise to farm Echo EXP mats from Tacet Fields (they removed the Simulation Training Echo EXP farm from CBT2). It is absolutely not worth being picky about substats atm.
This is true, I made this video before the pity system was discovered. However, even with the pity system, you still take on average 2-3 elites to get one to drop. That's at most twice as good as the original 20% being ~5 elites. So it will still take you 50+ kills of a specific elite on average to get the drop you want.
Splitting up the 2 Malleable Echo slots do not make sense. In most players' cases, the 2 DPSes are going to be different elements... and if you are farming for Aero Gold Elite, you want the Main Stat to be Aero Damage... which obviously is not going to be applicable to your other DPS. You might as well just use both for 1 DPS, get the firepower first, and hunt for the 2nd DPS's elites. Even if both DPSes are the same element, it's still going to be faster if you use both Malleable Echo items right away.
Most people will have already gotten one on-set element echo by now if they've been farming since the day they hit Databank 15. If not, then yes it works and you can use both for one unit. I already had one for each element by the time I made the video myself.
Might want to check upload date, it was made very early on in the game when most didn't know about it yet. It's all about getting your first DPS geared sooner. It even pre-dated the echo pity system info.
One thing to note for min maxers: All elemental damage sets in the game have 3 different echo options for the "3 Cost" type, except for the Electro set, which only has 2 different echoes of 3 cost. This means it can be harder to get a matching Electro set with Electro dmg bonus, because there are fewer echoes available to farm. Most players shouldn't worry too much about this, but if you're a hardcore player regularly farming the entire map for echoes, picking an electro echo from the shop selector might save you some headaches. Assuming you do need Electro, of course.
That is true, but at the same time we also have double electro bosses so there is the 44111 option that is only ever so slightly weaker than 43311 setups, but is also much easier to farm since it avoids the Elite RNG. Specifically for Yinlin case though, it should actually be stronger, due to Yinlin making up for lack of electric% by buffing it herself, so that you can lean more heavily into crits without missing crucial element% stats.
I prefer to get the echo exp instead of getting the guaranteed echo from the shop first. I have time to grind, and it takes me 1-2 reset to get all the right main stat echo. On the other hand, I can grind all I want but still won’t get enough echo exp. Tldr, echo is grindable without using stamina. Echo exp isn’t.
This is very understandable. Comes down also to how much you're willing to wait, as for me I prefer to get my main DPS up and running early so I can more easily farm for my team 2 and 3 DPS.
Possible, but Electro is also one of two elements (Havoc is the other) that can run 44111 instead of 43311. Because Yinlin specifically brings electric% (STC), this offsets the lack of elemental% elites while leaning more heavily into crit.
The 5 set bonus is typically as strong as the mainstat of an elite echo. If you break the 5set it’s normally never worth it. Havoc and void thunder can run 44111 cost setups though because they have both two bosses per element. Spector and aero can also do it if you have the phantom shiny boss copies which count as separate, but since you can only get one of each shiny boss per patch, your sub stat rolls are super risky and not worth it. So tl;dr is 44111 works for electric and void. 43311 for everything else. Never break 5pc set bonus.
Definitely, I would recommend completely finishing the tree in the meantime, it makes a huge difference. Eventually, you can overcome it with half-built stuff by just overstacking buffs.

Yup, luckily, substats really don't matter until much later. For now, mainstats are much more important. It's all you need to clear everything that matters right now.
@@AznvasionsII I don't know, it definitely matters a bit. I've been running the timer on a lot of bosses. So basically I don't have the DPS to clear it. It's not a skill issue.
Finished this mode fully on trial characters. I had some rage moments, but in the end doing it on trial characters was not only challenging, but super satisfying and let me actually learn much more enemy movement/feel parrying better and all. And always having to 'build' trough a run is always fun But regarding cats, BIG tip for players who didnt know like me.... you can really find additional cats during runs in rooms. From my experience it is max 2 per room, they can be hidden in either rocks, or in the field just like that, sometimes in holes, sometimes behind bushes but this can be real game changer for you
It's actually become a really fun minigame for me to just go around recognizing where breakable rocks should spawn to see if they're there and see what loot I get :D
@@AznvasionsII update to that. I can confirm you can actually find shop too I found it close to the end at deadly room (with defend target objective), guy was standing bit hidden
