The one thing I always admired about Carla is that she was just as committed to the Company as the Employees were. Remember how she would arrive early so the staff could get their morning tea and breakkie before starting the workday. She knew how to motivate them to meet the quota and although she could "Shade" some of the folks, their reputation was impeccable. If there was one thing I loved about Coronation Street you see scenes in The Sewing Room. You never really saw that on The Bold & The Beautiful and although Thorne was Technical Director (Managed The Sewing Room), none of The Higher Ups ever went downstairs to say hello, ask what their concerns were etc.
I love Carla's relationship with the workers, yes she started as a slave driver in 2007 but I think she respects them far more than Mike Baldwin ever did.

As before I mentioned this woman Eve McKinley and that she would be proud of Beth. Well it would seem that Carla is almost as good a woman as her. I think we all hated her when she started, that's what made her a fascinating character, by far the most interesting factory boss since the Baldwins and Connor brothers.
I felt sorry for Alya Carla instead of mentoring her was putting her down constantly and when she got the factory, she tried to steal from under her nose and Alya as result felt like she had to be tougher than everyone else. Carla is one of the most selfish characters on the street you thin she'd want to help a girl that's trying to be the best she can. Instead of basically bullying her.

Also, Alya should remember these folks didn't have the "advantages" that she did. No Uni, No Fashionable Clothes, a True Blue Collar Environment. I don't mean to be unkind but I have worked with Folks like Alya where they "know" everything and I'm not saying this because she's Indian, she has to be in control, no respect for what you say, thinking that her ideas are more important that yours. As much as i hate to say this, I would perfer Angie to do to The Books for Underworld. She's smart, efficient and I think she and Carla would work great together. As for Alya making Sarah her PA I don't think it's a good idea. On the US Soap Opera The Bold & The Beautiful Clarke Garrison left Forrester, A Glamorous Fashion House to work at Spectra, A Knockoff but he felt he had more status there. Also, whenever anyone from The "Street" works in the Office, trouble ensues. Sally thought she was "all that", Rosie had her head in the clouds too much and if she worked for me, and left documentation out like that, I would have let her go.
Maybe I am wrong but it seems that everytime someone from The Street works in an Office Environment, things go wrong. Sally worked as a PA, as did Rosie. I may have been wrong. Also I forgot that on The US Soap Opera Guiding Light Natalia Rivera went from being a Chambermaid to a successful PA who did a great job helping her Boss/Lover Olivia Spencer run The Hotel The Beacon. It should be interesting. I am curious to know how it's going to work out. I would love to see how things would have been if someone new to the street worked at Underworld.
Laminge. Sarah (Gail's daughter) is not Sally or her daughter Rosie. You cannot really judge Sarah on the basis of what Sally, Rosie or what anyone else was like. Alya seems to find Sarah useful

I wish Peter the best of luck in selling the Rovers return. As Johnny said it has become like a vipers nest since Toyah took charge. Toyah is a troublemaker. if Peter Barlow has any sense he won't have anything more to do with her. Also I would advise Eva to do thesame with that liason she has been having with Toyah. Being as thick as thieves with Toyah has made her worse than she was when she first came to Coronation Street.
