Sergeant: "Which one of you is the FNG?" FNG: "Uh, me sarge?" Sergeant: "Lovely. Here, I want you to have the company's banner flag." FNG: "Wow! Seems like a great honor!" Sergeant: "It is! It is! And go stand in front of the squad so everyone knows how much we like you!" Love 40k, and I know it's just a game, but I couldn't resist.
You should have these guys fight your Shields Of Avalon and call them The Dolorous Guard after the corrupted castle Lancelot sieged before joining Arthur’s court
I'll be honest, i still know next to nothing about Warhammer, but my god it's so fun to just put this on while making supper or something. The customization and explanations are so cozy to listen to, and not to mention just really damn impressive watching it come together!
The great thing about the Blooded KT box is that it comes with enough heads and rifles/weapons for at least 20 minis. So even if you build the 10 Blooded minis, its more than enough bits to convert 10 more bodies to traitor guard.
Have you ever shown of those Alpha legion or added to them on the channel by any chance? Would be neat to see if not 😃 Would be great to see those Solar Auxilia that Murry's planning on cooking up, not a function that gets enouth love.
2:45 "This might become more than just a Kill Team... yeah, this is dangerous." That was how my Renegade army started. I built myself a Lifeward for a conversion competition. She didn't win, but I liked her enough that I decided I'd convert up some buddies for her, and use them as a Kill Team. The way it turned out, though, the parts I'd used left me with a lot more bits than I'd need for just one squad, so it just made sense to get a tank for them, use them in 40K in 40 minutes... Suffice to say, they've now outgrown their figure case.
I hope we see Murry's Solar Auxilia I'd love to see how he went about customizing them, Dave just full on sprinting across the law had to have been the highlight for me lol :) great video
@@nicolastousignant9160 from what I've gathered the vanguard heads from the Skitarii rangers kit are more of a match for solar Auxilia helmets but I'm not 100% how accurate that is
Can’t have gas masks without glowing red lenses ala Jin Roh / Illang ! Like the colour choice of the uniforms, went on a deep dive recently into Napoleon era uniforms for some inspiration. They were fancy 😂
I really love the attention to detail of the traitor guard I like their color scheme and their subtle Alpha legion vibes and ironically I am making a custom alpha legion warband as I’m watching this video keep up the good work❤
I am starting an astra militarum loyalist army with this box, and I now see where daves loyalties lie. Chaos guards look awsome!, they look like they arent even kit bashed.
These are awesome. I loved painting the Traitor Guard and used a dark green and rusty steel that I had used previously on the Forgeworld resin traitors. Those were great models.
That muted pallet works really well. I always have trouble sticking to something like that. Looking forward to all the nicely edited kill team reports. (the new location of the audio recording station really impacts the quality of the sound. Love it!)
I'd say someone should be worried about sleeping on the couch, but with the amount of heresy Dave has demonstrated on this channel, I'd be worried about waking up to a flamer thrower tip.
Bought this the day it came out. Unboxed it, and went straight for the heavy weapons. I threw both kits, into one model, dual-linking both the cannons and the LasCannons. One big ass Flak Cannon, and one Big Ass Anti-Everything Cannon. I love this kit..... not the price tag, so much. >< They look siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.
Just discovered the channel for this video, your paint scheme was gorgeous! I just built my blooded kill team and I am definitely going to try and get some new cadians to use up all the fantastic extra bits! Slippery slope to traitor guard...
Leave it to Dave to make this amazing kitbash come to reality. they really look like they belong in a GW box with that level of quality. Also de skit was great fun. Good work you guys.
Absolutly love your take on traitor guard, this gives me many ideas of my own now and I feel that a need to build another army is coming xD Would love to see more of this in the future!
I was already looking to build the Cadia Stands Box into traitor guardsmen but seeing this video and seeing the comments about how many heads and extra bits there are in the KT Blooded Kit led me to buy a kit to spruce up the guardsmen. i figure a good sprinkling of traitor heads and weapons into the 31 odd cadians in the box (2x10 squads, 1x5 command team, and 3x2 crewman on the ordnance teams) will push them a bit into that chaos-y space without detracting from the fact that theyre still a "professional" military. Thank you for the video.
This is exactly my mentality. For every 10 cadians, ill grab 10 blooded. Then mix and match, with the balance of extra parts from blooded kits being used on command squads, artillery crew etc
I'm not usually a huge chaos fan but I gotta say these look sick. Also I really appreciate not going overboard with the gore on the chainsword. I know a lot of people love the look but personally I prefer something more subtle
Yell yeah! This is amazing! I already started a small group with traitor guards from black stone fortress, but this really pushes it to the next level. YOINK!
this video had some perfect timing as I was just starting to think up a paintscheme for my "planetary defence force" (genestealer cult brood brothers) kill team
something dumb that i saw ONCE done to some imperial guard regiment was that they wore different colour of clothing... usually was just the pants... but seeing dull thoned blues, beishes and grays felt more realistic if you are dressing millions of humans to toss on a battlefield
As a non-Warhammer fan, I read that as title as "Corrupting CANADIANS," and - while I appreciate the explanation - I got a major self-laugh at my mistake, so I wanted to share.
what he did is what we model lovers is called Kit Bashing. Its totally fine that he did this because in reality they would use bits and bobs from their fallen foes.
You could run your Traitor Guardsmen as the Blood Pact forces from the Gaunt's Ghosts novels. They're a great example of a well organised Chaotic military unit.
This alongside Darktide has inspired me to do a Nurgle themed Traitor Guard, not in the same colours as the Tertius traitors but I cant wait to see how well or how scuffedly the Ash Waste Nomad kit goes with the Cadia Stands box.
My favourite bit Jen: by the emperor's name, this is heresy...THIS IS HERESY ! HERETIC !!! That is why I rewatch the video...plus I want to built a traitor guard. Sorry Jen ^-^
Ugh making me actually wanna go through with building a functional IG Brood Brother army with every unit converted to being a worshiper of the Four Armed Emperor!
