Also, LiPo batteries are tricky. They don't like being empty but they don't like being full either. Ideally you want to keep it between 30-80%. Draining the battery completely can actually lead to the battery dying. That's just the nature of lithium polymer batteries.
It charges just fine using my Samsung dual wireless charger (phone and watch) so I didn't have to worry about getting that mouse pad!!! Im a huge fan of this mouse.
Nice review.. I’m looking to get this mouse because as I’ve bought myself the Corsair K65 wireless keyboard coupled with their lapboard.. as I like my couch PC gaming.
I usually have my DPI at 16k (since several high-res monitors for productivity/coding), with the previous dark core rgb se; I'd probably put it up to 18k with this
@@BoMenzzz It's definitely something I had to work up to over a few months, but at this point my wrist doesn't really move, and I just mostly shift my thumb and pinky/ring finger. I sometimes still need to bring it down to 12k for intense FPS gaming, but this way I don't need to have a huge mousepad or anything As far as the mouse itself, the one thing I am disappointed in, is that they got rid of the sniper button. Other than that, it looks like a decent refresh to the mouse
You asked for feedback about DPI - I'm actually not a gamer, I use it for drafting buildings bc I'm an architect. I haven't tried this yet, but hoping it provides me some extra precision because sometimes the lines get very difficult to select when they are very close together.
Going to get one next week! It'll go with the rest of my Corsair gear - as I have the Viruroso headset I assume it's the same charging cable (looks like it to me). Currently using the M65 RGB Elite (white), but, after 3 yrs it feels like the left mouse and middle mouse buttons are starting to go, so I'll keep it as a spare.
Does this use Slipstream for wireless? I've recently got a Virtuoso headset and the wireless dongle is a lot bigger than the one included with this mouse!
@@impatience4450 I do find sometimes, I've damaged the dongle over time... with accidentally knocking it or something, so having something so small tucked away is great!😊
JD Hello and thanks to bit-tech for the various achievements coming from its own design to designate (case, graphics cards, water block). You're Geniuses. Thank you for your presentations. A persistent problem for years that passes as nothing was, which is to take into consideration the Gauchers. Always products for right-handed or ambidextrous but never products for left-handed. After seeing your achievements, I'm sure you're able to design a left-handed mouse shell by reversing the internal controls. When is this video. Thank you to all your team. JD
I've had the original version of this mouse for the last almost six months. One exchange so far and the issues aren't solved. I have however a piece of advice for anyone who has the original as well. TURN THE MOUSE OFF TO CHARGE!!!! Over time charging the mouse while it's on makes the mouse's wireless charging ability to fail, among other issues. The 2nd mouse I received started to have the same issues as the 1st until I started turning the mouse off for charging. Corsair hopefully has fixed the charging issues on this version and if so I hope they are exchanging the originals for this version! Anyone else have issues? The other issues I had were having to restart the mouse, software and sometimes the computer after the system went into standby mode. FTR everything else about the mouse is actually quite nice, just need to overlook it's failings.
Had it for less than a day, and an issue I’m already having is something between input lag and inputs not registering at all. Granted it’s only with the dongle, wired is fine and I haven’t tried bluetooth, but I don’t want to, I planned to use it for gaming.
lmaoooooo 18000 wtf... i am currently playing GR breakpoint and with 0 sens in game settings and 500~ 600 dpi on my logitech G9x and its still twitchy as hell; on most current gen games lowest sens also mice have hit an evolution wall a loooong time ago; only reason for this kind of sens is for 8k displays i guess
I bought this mouse because of this review on the fact the two front side buttons are programable there not there dpi buttons was disappointed to find out that they weren’t if they are and you know how to do it please more info on that
They keep putting those 2 buttons on the left button but it would be much better if they were on the scroll wheel (dx and sx). Also, this version has only 2 side buttons instead of 3
Hi there. Is the mouse can use with wired cable only? Or the included usb-c cable is for charging only? I want to use it with my macbook, it has only usb-c connection
Hey I have this mouse and I was looking on RU-vid on how to fix it cause I think I clicked the DPI button on the top and it won’t change at all anymore it just turned white and turned off and now the DPI is slow as hell so please anyone reach out to me and help me
This mouse is in a weird spot in my opinion. It doesn't have enough buttons for a moba/mmo mouse and the weight with 133 grams is way too high for a good fps mouse.
@@adamt4181 I disagree, you can't defy physics, what weight you accelerate with the mouse you also have to decelerate and aiming with your wrist at high DPI is not precise at all.
@@The2808erik I use low dpi and sensitivity in games like csgo. Lift up mouse. It's all preference, just gotta get used to it. 100% does not hinder you.
@@adamt4181 Again you can't cheat physics, there is a reason all pro players use mice under 100 grams. I suggest you watch Rocket Jump Ninjas opinion if you don't trust mine, he has a lot of data on that topic.People aim better with lighter and smaller mice generally speaking.
@@ScreamOG1 The Dark Core RGB Pro is a newer version of the Dark Core RGB. They ditched the sniper button and added a lightbar on the pro model, hence why yours doesn't look the same as this one. Hope this explains it
@@HazmatPyro thanks for the info - if nothing else changed I'll stay with this model, as I really like the sniper button! Though mine stopped charging on the mm1000 almost within a day
@@DankDiamond any issues with it? Picked one about a week ago and all buttons mouse wheel, left click, side buttons a have squeaky noise out of the box. Unacceptable quality issues for a mouse of that price. Shame on corsair i'll return back to my roccat leadr
I really don't know which mouse to buy... I was going for the logitech, but Corsair launched the Dark Core Pro and now I?ve no idea which one to buy... In your opinion does the Dark Core will be suitable for FPS games due to the high weight or it's better the logitech? Thank's
I have the original and yes, you can. I don't see why this would change for the new one. Although someone else here said that its good to turn off the mouse while charging it so take that as you will. But I can plug it in with a USB cable and not have the receive plugged in and it works just fine.
if ur thinking about getting this, dont. corsair is not the same quality as back in the day. buy a competitor at near same price. had this mouse 2 months and wont charge or turn on, light use i work all week. Spend your money to a company that will value your return on your money. Corsair has been gouged for profit. These products DO NOT last. Google dark core not charging if you dont believe me. Countless threads, most unresolved with a shit out of luck message or forced to pay to return it. My biggest regret in my pc setup is using corsair in modern day.
Im sorry to say this and i would like to preface with I have facial piercings and other things like that i have no judgment on appearance here nothing superficial like that. but please take out the tongue ring for your videos i get so distracted by the lisp that is clearly from the tongue piercing. again im sorry im not trying to be rude. i enjoy your reviews and opinion. It was just killing me. awesome video!
dont like it then dont watch its that simple LOL... its her choice not yours so respect that. Your basicly a guest watching her videos and not someone that is paying!
The Mouse is a big disappointment. Poor battery life (1 day at 1000 DPI and the mouse screams for new juice), cheap plastic build (black coating peeling off after 3 month), and frustrating software (latest version doesn't work, older version works but constantly prompts for updates which would disconnect the mouse). Not recommended!!! I feel ripped off
You said they are programmable; would this be compatible with photoshop or adobe's other design software? That's what I'd be using if for haha no gaming
You can save keys and shortcuts as makros and assign them to buttons via the iCUE software. I have a Glaive though, so it's not the same but it works the same. I rather use my keyboard shortcuts with Photoshop though so i don't think this is your product really.
Personally i have the original Dark Core, but i don't see why it would be any different. In the iCUE software you can set each button to be a macro of any function you may want. For me i make one of the side buttons mimic the Q key for push to talk during games because it takes one less function away from having to be done with my left hand. Although this mouse only has a few side buttons, good if you have 2-3 macros you used often, but any more than that your gonna have to use they keyboard.
