I like it but I wish companies could focus more on higher-end *membrane* keyboards. I prefer them, even after trying mechanicals. I don't get why they can't make something as high-quality (e.g. metal, low profile) as, say, an MX Keys, only with rgb, macros and all those cool features... I would love something like that

That's honestly what I've been waiting for, as well. Call me crazy but I really prefer Chiclet style keyboards. I am so used to laptops it's just what I prefer. I don't really like my mechanical keyboard.

have you had any problems with keys such as the media keys specifically? i'm considering getting this keyboard because my current logitech keyboard has a liability of the volume infinitely going up or down when i use said keys

I can see the appeal and use of this keyboard, those macros keys and dedicated media keys is a very compelling offer. I own a Logitech G213 Prodigy and that keyboard have roughly the same price and features but no macro keys.

yeah....as long as you not complain about how fragile its key cap legs is. honestly i really surprise how durable it is. 4-5 years but still alive even most of key cap legs now broke. well..as long as i can shove them back in and it still usable. i still keep using it.

I was about to buy a G213 keyboard in recent times myself, but I decided to look at reviews on RU-vid and was pointed towards the K55 XT. The macro keys alone make the slightly bigger price point much easier to digest, all things considered.

@@lysenthe I've had 2 g213, neither lasted that long. Both had constant issues along the qwerty row with double typing or having to mash down the keys just to type. Both are now in the bin

Mechanical also has more key failures(look up any brand or switch type) and require more maintenance since the contact can get exposed to the elements. Dust and dirt can works it's way in your switches and cause them to not register or register slowly. If you go mechanical then go optical where it cuts an optical beam. Membrane take less maintenance and last longer then mechanical. I'm still using a Logitech G15 (2nd gen.) all the keys work and it's been 20 years. No mechanical no matter how expensive can claim that.

I’m kind of weird, I guess. I can’t stand mechanical keyboards because I don’t like the long key travel. I like keyboards where the key travel is very very short. That’s probably because I’m an Apple user and I’m used to Apple keyboards which are very flat and don’t have very much key travel. And I also can’t stand the clicking sound; I prefer soft and quiet keyboards. I specifically bought this keyboard, not because of its price, but because it was a membrane keyboard I was hoping that it would have a feel similar to a MacBook Pro keyboard. It does not - I’m trying to get used to it. The flatter keyboards feel more comfortable to me because I don’t have to keep my wrist in the air to avoid hitting the wrong keys when I’m typing. On a MacBook keyboard I can just kind of let my hand just lay on the keyboard and don’t have to worry about accidental presses. 2:02

It was with some surprise that I discovered that this keyboard cannot process more than 2 keystrokes at a time. This seems very difficult to me for gamers.

I've had this keyboard for not even 2 weeks and the left arrow key is pretty much constantly 'stuck'. Nothing has been spilled on it, and definitely not dirty. I'm pretty disappointed. I've looked it up and tried everything to fix it but unfortunately, nothing worked. I will say though, it is the most comfortable keyboard I've ever used. Back to using my old cheap keyboard and I hate it lol!

My son just got the K70 TKL Champion series keyboard, and it is really nice... I either want the full sized K70, or possibly this one for a good bit cheaper... just not sure if I want membrane or mechanical... the silver speed switches and build of his is really nice... I don't game, but I really wonder how different these would feel... I will have to try to find a store where I can feel a few keyboards I guess...

Mechanical Keyboards are the pickup trucks of tech and gaming. Both are super noisy, enthusiasts love to talk about feedback and tactile feel way too much, and at the end of the day both are basically useless except for bragging rights and compensating for some inadequacy.

This is spot on, I owned a mechanical keyboard and the clicks were so loud and uncalled for, especially when using a microphone whilst gaming, I don’t understand why someone would prefer that type of keyboard to a standard “mushy” quieter one, it honesty doesn’t make sense especially from a gamers prospective.

@@ItsMeChrisB23 it's even worse in a work environment. I had a coworker who had one next to me and at the end of the day the only thing i wanted to do was mash his keyboard on his head... It was so annoying to ear "click click" for 8h... At the moment i have a Logitech K740 but it's old and way past his time (8 years old with way to many hours on it) but can't find something similar...

I just purchased the K55 quiet ... I am having problems with it. I am having key lag. For $130 it is ridiculous. I only purchased it because of review on consumer reports and other places. I have looked online with no luck. I contact Corsair and all I got was to reset. It worked for a bit then started up again. I'm about to throw this keyboard in my driveway and run it over. It's on l y been a couple of days since I received it

Can anyone help me. I just purchased K55 Pro SE. I am trying to setup key for volume up/down. I want top press and hold page up to increase volume. Bu,t I cant make I. I was able to assign volume uyp[ function but I can't make it to be continuously (increase voume while I still hold page up).

RGB seems like aesthetic but if your desktop is dark (like a dark large desk pad) and you play games or work in a darker room, you need to see the keys. This is why I was bummed when white keyboards weren't produced as much. Eventually they came back but by then there was backlighting.

I'm looking up comparisons too, and apparently according to RTINGS, the pro and xt versions each have better latency, although...I'm typing this on a cheapo membrane $10 monoprice and can't perceive any lag in typing, so, not sure how much a few ms in real world usage matters tbh. Even the regular k55 has quite a bit better latency than some keyboards I saw in comparisons. 1.7ms on this k55 pro xt versus 26.5 ms on a red dragon mechanical k552 kumara. Regular k55 has 4.8ms apparently. the k55 pro has 2.6ms

I am very happy with the K55 RGB PRO XT but it has a tremendous flaw. The two-year warranty has just passed and the black enamel paint is being removed from the WASD keys. The worst thing is that there is nowhere to buy new keys to replace. A shame because in the rest of the aspects it is a good keyboard

LOUSY TERRIBLE HORRIBLE BRAND. POPULAR ICUE SOFTWARE CONFLICT. KEYBOARD RGB KEEP TURNING ON BY ITSELF DESPITE AFTER SHUTTING DOWN THE PC. LOTS PEOPLE COMMENTED N COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS ISSUE. SHOULD HAVE LISTEN TO THEM!!!!
