A winner of a recipe for me guys although I’m not a fan of pressure cookers. I watch a lot of RU-vid cooking videos and I have to say I love your content. Its the little things that people forget, for instance adding salt and pepper to the leeks to bring out the natural sugars in them and get them cooking nicely, it really does show you guys know what you’re doing when it comes to cooking ❤
Another favourite of mine as a child growing up,,they wonder why so many children have health issues with all modern day processed food,,when we were kids our mums cooked and baked every day fresh health meals,,
Another lovely meal. When making mash, I always find waxy potatoes like reds are best. It makes a firmer mash and holds together better when boiling. Floury potatoes like Maris Piper & other whites, I find more suited to roasting with a more fluffy texture. Coming from an Irish background, we know our spuds 😅
Love the way you do everything and easy to follow instructions. Who needs Gourmet Chefs. I grew up with meals like that when l lived in England. Have lived in Canada for 50 years now, met my husband here, he is Irish, so he loves mince and tatties, meat pies etc.
Nice scran and interesting to see the pressure cooker used though i think overall it's more work and a similar cooking time than using a stove and oven. It'll be interesting to see other stuff the cooker can do though
I cut my potatoes a little smaller for mash and pressure cook for 5 mins.Sometimes I put eggs on a rack above the potatoes and do them at the same time especially when I make potato salad. The eggs peel so perfectly when cooked above water.
@@sharongrace1582 The instant pot versions of which there are quite a few are great because they have several functions. When I got mine I was nervous but went on line and watched tutorials which were very helpful. I must say I truly enjoy cooking with them and can have meals ready add very short notice. I have used mine to thaw a rock solid frozen piece of meat to make a lovely tender roast or pie filling. The list goes on.
Welcome home peeps, we all love going on hols but us that cook are so glad to get home to our own kitchens pots and pans and stuff. We love savoury mince and mashed spuds, we grew up on it in london. Some dishes we grew up with are the best comfort foods. I like the idea of the leek mash I must give it a so. 😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Its lovely to have you back home safely. Really missed your vid's . That meal made my mouth water and i'm not a dumpling perfon but i'm trying that meal out and i know my husband wont turn his nose up at it... Looking forward to your future meal deals... Xx
Crikey pressure cookers have changed since I last used one! Ooh love dumplings, always add some sage and onion stuffing in mine lol. Good to see you back guys🤗
Well done using your corsori I have a king pro pressure cooker 7.5ltr I find it brilliant it does all the same as yours except it does not do the thing you said you wanted to do with the chicken. I saw backyard chef do that in a machine which he has just for doing that I think it cures meat I'm not sure.I have had my king pro pressure cooker for about 4- 5 years now and I use it all the time x Elaine
Great minds I have planned mince dumplings and mash tomorrow also doing in my Cosori pressure cooker I love it, it’s amazing how quick this can be done , I have done mash and veg in it my mash seems to do in about 8 minutes maybe I cut them a bit smaller though. Thanks for another great video 😊
dear dinner lady, am the subscriber who sended the leek mash recipe, and the creamy mashed ,turnip, carrot, parsnip and potatoes all mixed together with a bit marmalade and its nice for christmas dinner as am a parsnip lover. lynne davison is my name.
My granny, now long dead, used to make the most beautiful dumplings. She also made something called Bombshell. Bombshell was a giant dumpling that she made in a big steamer. It would be the size of a football. It took ages to steam. When it was cooked, or possibly before it was fully cooked, she would take it out, cut off the top couple of inches, and then hollow it out, leaving a shell about an inch thick. She would have been making a stew while the Bombshell steamed. Into the hollowed out dumpling she would ladle in the stew. Then she she would replace the top, reseal it, and steam again until everything was cooked through. This would then be taken out, placed in a big basin and cut up for dinner. The dumpling that was removed was not wasted. We would have it with jam for desert.
Great vid, I'd love one of those but can't justify another gadget in the kitchen! lol You can't beat minced beef and dumplings, especially as the weather still isn't that great, love the idea of leeks in the mash as well, very nice. Glad to see you both home and safe and glad you had a good break. Looking forward to your next vids xx
My kids grew up on savory mince, but I would always use mixed vege's (peas, carrot & corn added into it ) so they would get a vege quota and always served on rice. The left overs would be saved and they would have it on toast after their swimming lessons for brunch. G'Day from Australia
Amazed you managed to do so much after your trip home from the sunshine already. Great review of the Cosori Pressure Cooker. And, you cooked one of my favourite dishes ever! Mince and dumplings with the dumplings done in the oven exactly as you did. I confess to using veggie suet for many years despite us being carnivores. For some reason I find it more reliable in the rising process. Oh how we both know that feeling after being abroad and just craving fresh vegetables and real no nonsense comfort food. Even when we visited the grand kids in Germany I came home longing for fresh veggies, salad and fruit. Welcome home and well done on your holiday videos as well as the inventive cooking! x
How pressure cookers have evolved, I remember my mothers prestige low dome pressure cooker, with the 5,10 & 15,1lb weights....as a youngester it used to frighten me to death lol But the Cosori looks fab!...
Looks very tasty as always .lovely to see your home safe .holiday looked very nice what you showed on here .thank you .well it’s back to reality they say .Enjoy your evening and week.👍🏻😊🩷
She looked at us coming in got a cuddle then been a bit stand offish today only came out of it when we got the box out haha missed her so much she has had all her favourite food today and dreamies and prawns she is asleep now xx
Our pets do manage to make us feel guilty. She will probably make you pay for a few days. My dog always does. She sits and stares at me with a very disgusted look on her face.
I love doing minced beef stew with dumplings, much faster and less gristle than stew meat. I've never used baking powder in my world beating dumplings ;) I'll be watching that stage in interest to see our differences in making them. (I steam them on top of the stew for 15 mins.) You've sold me one, waiting for mine to arrive tomorrow. Claim some commission ;)
Hi Mand and Ian, great to have you home safe and sound, enjoyed your holiday vlogs, brilliant, bless back in work straight away you are so hard working. Delicious recipe will be doing it this week. Keep them coming 💕💗
Hiya your videos are smashing it's nice to know you're both just down the road I'm in Durham. I cooked the mince and dumplings in my ninja and it was gorgeous I added fresh coriander to the dumplings that's the only difference. Made it for my mam and we ended up having it over two days I made far too much 😊 I make a mean moussaka but I peel the aubergines as it tastes better. Anyway thanks again keep going we enjoy watching you x
A great idea for a minced and veg dinner of which I'll try in the colder climate, something new for me!! Only one thing to say for you and your viewers, please!! venting the steam next to the electrical outlet is probably not to good in the long run ❤🩹❤🩹stay safe 👍
I think I have 4 pressure cookers. My husband used to watch the cooking shows on QVC. He loved to buy the kitchen equipment. He also loved to read cookbooks. He would sit in his recliner for hours reading the cookbook. When he retired he would stand over my shoulder and tell me how to cook things. Needless to say that didn’t go over to well with me so finally one day I got really aggravated and told him to cook and I left the kitchen. He was the main cook for years. Always trying different things which most of the time I liked but there were some things I just didn’t care for. I had to finally tell him not to use so much olive oil, too strong for me. And I didn’t care for rosemary sprinkled on my steaks. All I want on my steak is salt and a little pepper. I always remember my Dad’s response in restaurants when they asked you if you needed steak sauce. He’d ask “why is there something wrong with the steak”.😂😂😂😂the expression on the servers face was always hilarious. My pressure cooker I use now is my Ninja Foodie 8quart. I make pot roast in it and chili. Also I’ve made yogurt in it several times. My Foodie has the yogurt setting
This might have been mentioned in the comments already but try pressure cooking some potatoes in the water, rather than above the water on a trivet, your pressure cooking, not steaming. That's the way i pressure cook potatoes in my Ninja and it works much faster :)
I do potatoes in the Ninja smart lid cooker and i put the potatoes in the water without the rack, put them on pressure for 2mins and the are perfect. Why dont you try it without the rack for less time.
We love ours too which we bought but thinking of giving the surplus to a soup kitchen locally as we don't need all of these just do we keep the ninja or corsori unsure xx
Iced slices might be a good one to put up. My lovely aunty Cynth who is no longer with us used to do those years ago when we went for tea and she made apple pie. Hope you’re up to 20k followers soon x
looks Fun 😂i got a Tower Multi Air fryer with grill ❤bake ,Roast ect just got used to the grill it has a food tempeture gage too its heavy but very good ❤
Been there - our daughter in law and family in Germany eats far too few veggies, salad and fruit. Bread rolls, ham, pate, cheese, cakes and pizza ad infinitum. Even taking them out for dinner a few times in the hope of finding even a lettuce leaf was little help as most places seem to just serve chips as a side dish. Gimme fresh green veggies!!! Totally with you there.
Looks like a fantastic meal, and very easy to cook. Please don't take this the wrong way as I'm sure you aren't aware, but the link you've given (affiliate link) needs to be disclosed as being so. Take a look at the "affiliate disclaimer uk" as you can be fined for not making it clear to people that you will make money if they use the link. The last thing I want to see is you guys taken down from youtube for this, as I love seeing all the great UK recipes
@@thedinnerlady9180 not sure where you got the link but it's definitely an affiliate one. If you aren't making money from it then someone else will be. Either way it needs to be made clear from what I understand 👍
I do shin beef casserole in my pressure cooker in 25mns and so tender. Have you any recipes for shin beef? Maybe something a bit spicy. South african guy i worked with said use shin beef minced for the best burgers. Your challenge from shin beef recipes. Love you guys keep em coming.x
it seems to be a bit of a copy of the Ninja pressure cooker. It looks good, but I prefer the Ninja 15 in one smart lid and you can do more with it. It's got more features on it than the one you are showing.
u shouls get a market stall for all these airfryers i love pepper to always black fresh ground xx that pressur cooker is a monster i love savory mince with veg and mash not keen on dumplins
@@thedinnerlady9180 no just having a laugh hun its brill when someone revs it you know what you want to get and i do love your vloggs ur so down to earth hun xx
I know huni just talking today about reviews not saying I won't ever do another one if its something we would like but it's not what the channel is about xx
Got my ninja multi cooker this week - but always weary of the steam valve pressure and noise. Still noisy but tbh once the release valve has finished steaming it’s advisable to take the lid off away from you.
