The Cosori Premium Stainless Steel 600 watt Food dehydrator - if you love it, let us know your thoughts! If you have used it and didn't like it, tell us why! If you have questions, ask them!!!
Just a note. You often talk about why to dehydrate canned goods and such, which you give reasons of space in your pantry. That is a wonderful answer for those who do not understand. Here is my answer for them. I live and travel across the country in a 5th wheel trailer. The weight of canned good is astronomical compared to dehydrated food in a plastic container or even better in a mylar bag.🥰
I just bought this Cosori model. On sale at Target, with free shipping. I have a small apt, & a small kitchen as well. THIS feature, of counter top space was my FIRST consideration. The second was wattage, which was great. The third, was stainless steel unit, & trays, fan placement, & ease of cleaning. I am a newbie dehydrator. This Cosori has met all my expectations of having a first time food dehydrator! Now my brain is exploding with recipes!!!
I love using my Cosori Premium Stainless Steel Food Dehydrator. Before I made the leap to purchase a dehydrator, I did my research by reading reviews and determining what I wanted to dehydrate. I chose this model because of the temp/time button and how nice it looks on my counter. I soak my racks (after each use) in my sink with soapy warm water and they clean up very well. The Cosori dehydrator is very, very quiet and I like the fact the fruit tray can be used as a drip tray when placing beef jerky on the racks. I had an older white dehydrator with the hole in the center and the plastic stacking round rings. The rings didn't fit in my sink and extremely difficult to clean and store. I keep my dehydrator on the counter and I have been using it weekly. I am so happy with my decision to purchase the Cosori stainless steel dehydrator.
I originally wanted the Excalibur but I just couldn't bear to drop that much money. Improve my Casori! It runs every day this time of year. I'm currently dehydrating zucchini after watching your video on vegetable broth. I was surprised that my beef jerky was done after 3 hours and not 8! I love the cabinet style. I plan on making my own paprika and cayenne powder. Made my own onion powder, ginger powder, and garlic powder, all kinds of herbs and teas, and nownveg. All from my garden except the ginger. I highly recommend the Casori. So easy to use. The fact that it never powers off when it's done does bug though. That "END" light just stays on. And so I do unplug mine as well when it's not in use.
I watched your other video that compared, Excalibar, Nesco and Cosori. I had a Nesco F79 and it takes forever to do everything. That reason alone convinced me that Cosori is a better deal. Energy bills will be going up and I need something quicker, even if it's only a couple hours those hours add up on my bill. My husband won't be happy but his tools are more expensive than mine, lol. Thanks for sharing. I got mine at Bestbuy for 140, sale price.
This is the exact one we bought. I learned a trick for keeping prints off of stainless steel. When I worked at Lowes we used furniture polish to clean all of the grills, stoves, microwaves, and refrigerators. Works like a charm. For the vent spots just spray a small amount on a rag.
@@ThePurposefulPantry indeed! You can use the cheap dollar store kind it works great! Lowes used pledge. I use it on my kitchen appliances it does help to repel dust as well. Thank you for your channel I'm still watching videos before I tackle my first go! 🤣😊
That’s where I got mine ! Lowes……. They keep asking me to buy their longterm warranty, but I believe there’s a manufacturers warranty ?! I love Lowes ……..
@@esemmanuel6603 I wouldn't get the longterm warranties! Especially now with the shortages. I had a deep freezer die this summer. The warranty place couldn't even have a guy come to the house to fix it due to shortages on parts. So I had to purchase a new one. Call them for a voucher and they only paid so much back for purchase price. The whole thing took almost 4 months. Before you decided to get any extra warranty call the company and ask policy on parts shortages and how they go about paying and fixing it. 😊
This is one of the most amazing reviews I have ever seen. I just ordered my Corosi and I can't wait for it to get here!! Thank you so much for your review! I have had a stackable, plastic one for 5 years and now my trays are starting to crack. I think the heat destroys them over time. The mesh liners are an easy fix. What I did for my other one was order the mesh, food grade, online and cut my liners to fit my trays. It's easier, it's cheaper, and they fit perfectly. I will do the same thing for this one. I'm so excited about ordering this!!! Thank you so much for your review!!
I have this machine and love it! It has been running regularly since January 2020 without a problem. It is worth purchasing a fruit leather tray for the bottom for clean up purposes. It will catch drips and little pieces that might fall through. I did get extra mesh sheets so smaller items would not fall through the racks. I ordered a second one for my Mom!
Excellent review, and so straightforward and honest. Thank you! I’ve been dehydrator shopping and the many opinions being tossed at me were making it so much harder. Then I stumbled upon your channel, hooray! Purchase has been made and subscribe button has been activated.
I love mine. Got it in April 2020. I run it almost constantly the whole summer and fall. I dried everything I could get my hands on for my husband and I, and my kids families. I bought silicon mesh sheets and cut to fit my trays. I dry lots of food to take in our RV. Even dried browned ground round.
Thank you for this. I just recently bought this one. Everything you said it on point. I am new to dehydrating and now I realize what the mesh is for. I did apples for the first time and didn't use the mesh so they stuck bad for the metal. I ordered extras of the mesh you suggested and a couple more trays to do the fruit strips. Thank you for doing these videos. I appreciate you. 🙏🏻💕😊
Great review Darcy! I got my Cosori for Christmas 2020 after minimal research, but feel like it was the right decision. It’s so quiet and good for someone learning all about dehydrating. I bought the food grade silicone mesh and cut to fit them to size. No complaints here!
I love my Cosori! I too was going back and forth between the Excalibur and Cosori and in the end decided to go with Cosori. I definitely agree with all the things you stated being a disappointment, especially the wasted space. I am going to do some research about buying larger mesh mats and cutting them down to the exact size of the shelves. Thank you for the time you spent making this Great Review!
I’m shopping for a dehydrator and have watched so many reviews. I over research everything haha!!! Your reviews have been by far the most helpful!!! Thank you so much and please review...everything 😃
A great and thorough review! I have this Cosori and I love it!! When I purchased my Cosori I was trying to decide between the Excalibur and the Cosori. I ultimately went with the Cosori based on size and the space I had available. I have not regretted my decision at all. I've had it a little over a year now, use it several times a week, and still absolutely love it! I don't use the mesh tray that came with it, though. I use teflon tray liners that I cut to size to fit the trays. I'm looking forward to seeing your comparisons!
Thank you so much for this video! I recently purchased this machine (my first) and it was delivered literally as you were speaking, The machine is much more expensive now but all the prices are whacked due to supply chain issues. I'll be unboxing tomorrow. Your video has given me confidence in my purchase and I'm eager to dehydrate some apples for my first project.
Yes! Mine was delivered about an hour before I found your video! Thank you! Complete newbie, never used a dehydrator before. You have given me confidence with my new Cosori!!
I use silicone mesh mats that you cut to size. They're 10-15 dollars and you can fill the whole tray but if you need a solid piece I guess that's the best option
@@EddieTheGreat. Where would you get silicone mesh mats ? I LOVE the dollar store, they always have Mason Jars and canning stuff, but I’m a bit weary using plastic in there for so long under heat. Do you guys have ideas on where to go for silacone/parchment for trays ……. ? And also, can you put 2 different vegetables in there ? I know they have different heating times but, what if you have extra space, wouldn’t it be more efficient to dehydrate different vegetables then, stop and take out the ones that are cooked then cook the rest ? It seems like so much time and energy is lost if you don’t ……… ; )
This is one of the best videos I’ve watched. So helpful and informative. I found it on sale at Best Buy $143. Trying to save what I can .And the reviews are great. ❤️
Thank you for the review, and for the walk-thru of set up and "first run"... I've never dehydrated anything before, but wanted to add that to my food storage, instead of canning everything - and from watching some of your other videos, I've already learned that there will be some things I prefer one method of preserving over the other, and am pleased to have "lucked into" choosing the right dehydrator... And also thanx for telling us that they recommend cleaning the inside, and the "burn in" period - I didn't see that in the instruction manual - so REALLY appreciate knowing.
Canning, & now dehydrating. I love these two types of projects. In the long run, I will save so much money on my grocery bill, making QUALITY & QUANTITY of shelf stable foods! ❤
Because of your review and videos using the Cosori Dehydrator I decided to buy one. And after 1 year of use to preserve my garden and grocery harvest, I must say this is my favorite kitchen appliance now. I got mine at Walmart with all the trays last spring for $150
Great video, thanks!!! My Cosori arrived this evening. It’s my first actual dehydrator. I’ve done a little dehydrating in the oven, over the years. Tomorrow I’m going to take your advice and start out on something easy, like frozen vegetables. I agree that’s a great way to learn about the new machine. Can’t wait to move up to other things. We’re just getting ready to enter the strawberry season. Yum! Thanks again for the great video.
I bought the Cosori Premium Stainless Steel 600 Watt Dehydrator as I gave my mom my old Nesco. I love, love, love this machine. I don't mind that I have to unplug it (we unplug all appliances not in use except the coffee maker). I am dehydrating peppers right now and that machine is so quiet I had to really listen to make sure it was on. For the money, I feel that it is worth it.
I was thrilled to see you purchased this and were reviewing it! I unboxed mine this morning, but the cart I was going to put it on isn't quite large enough. FYI for anyone else that intends to use a cart. The swing door is low enough that if it happens that the top shelf of your cart has a little edge around it, it may not work. I've ordered another cart that should be here at the end of the week, so I can't wait to dip my toes into dehydrating!
You are going to love it! I purchased the London Sunshine which is identical to the Cosori and it came with the 6 mesh and 1 fruit rollup tray which they call a drip tray. I have since purchased the extra fruit rollup trays for my broths and other liquids. I've lemon & lime slices dehydrating right now. I find it very quiet. I load the mesh sheets and slide them in on top of the wire racks. BTW, I really enjoy your detailed and informative videos.
You are so helpful to us beginners HELP where is the best place to buy mason ball pint jars lids and screw tops can you buy a set together yours Joy from Australia.
So happy you did this review, it is a great help. I did watch your comparison of the 3 dehydrators and you saved me money I didn't need to spend. Thank you
I actually just purchased this machine, it came with 3 leather trays and 3 of the mesh trays. I’m looking forward to dehydrating lot of veggies. I thank you for you demo, it has really helped me, now I’m ready for my experience with my new Cosori.
You are wonderful explaining this whole machine I’m only a quarter through it. We were explaining the machine I lost my book so showing mirror doing this video is teaching me 100%. Thank you.
I had an older GoPresto stackable dehydrator which I used for years and loved it.. Time to upgrade, got a Cosori because of your review.. 138.99 Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video❣️You explained everything so very well for a newbie to understand. I just purchased this one yesterday, and I’m glad after seeing this video that I made the right choice price wise, as well as for being new to learning how to dehydrate.
I really like mine. I grew up watching my mom use two white round dehydrators (don’t know brand). They weren’t the prettiest or the best use of time or electricity. My husband bought me this dehydrator (the one in review) last fall so I could dehydrated tons of apples. I’ve been using it for Christmas oranges, lemon for lemon pepper seasoning, and so much more. I did buy the mesh sheets for smaller things and solid trays for making fruit leather. Highly recommend this machine
I am not a researcher and not an instruction follower. We decided this last Sunday that we wanted to buy a dehydrator. I went on Amazon and do what I always do.....looked at the ones with the most stars and read some reviews. I bought a Cosori. After watching this review and your video comparing the Nesco, Cosori and Excalibur I am happy with my purchase and you have a new follower. :) But I will tell you I learn everything the hard way....I am not an instruction reader. Inspiration struck me this morning when I harvested a zucchini from the garden and I decided to dehydrate it. My Cosori was fresh out of the box. Prepared the zucchini. I put it directly on the mesh racks (mistake #1) and started it up. Then, I watched your video...I didn't wipe anything down (mistake #2). So, I'll just consider this my practice round. lol
Just got a Cosori today from Amazon for $134.95. So happy to hear your experienced perspective! Have my first batch in now - catnip:). Factors that had me choose are positive reviews, smaller space and cabinet/rear fan style with stainless steel racks. So excited! Appreciate all your dehydration content!!!
Just bought a Cosori and setting it up, so happy to find your video. I chose the Cosori for all the reasons you listed and couldn't afford an Excalibur at this time. Thanks!
Thank you for review on the Cosori. I have been trying to figure out which machine to upgrade to and the cleaning was the decision breaker. I was going to buy the Excaliber, but I think the Cosori is going to work for me. Thank you again for all the experience you share.
I bought the magic mill 10 tray dehydrator. It comes loaded with 10 trays, one plastic mesh and 2 fruit leather tray, as well as a jerky or sausage hanger. It was $159 yesterday. Great value for 13 sq ft of dehydration space. 95f-165f. It will do everything I need it to do. I’m so excited.
I bought the Cosori mini 5 tray based on your videos of the brand and I think I'm going to be super happy with it. It can run up to 48 hrs before needing a 2 hour rest. I don't have a lot of space and it's just me so the small (9.1 x 9.8") trays are enough. It's also super cute!
Borrowed my moms Excalibur many years ago. Been using an air fryer oven the last 5 years to dehydrate. Been researching dehydration machines a couple years now. Love Excalibur however wanted a fixed door and smaller footprint. Thank you for your videos! Your review truly helped me to make my decision! God Bless!
I just found you channel and after watching several of your video's. I just ordered Cosori dehydrator.. Can't wait until I receive it tomorrow!!! Thank you!
One thing I learned the first time I used the Cosori, put some foil or parchment down in the bottom of machine, if you're making something that will drip. The very back edge is hard to clean but if you put some foil in there you'll be good to go.
@@ThePurposefulPantry Is that supposed to be for liquid type foods ? Per the memo guide, some recipes are for foods that were blended together. So, it takes 10 hours to cook 1 tray for wet food ….. ?!
I recently out grew my small 6 tray Vevor. It worked well for me with wild onion, thin cut oranges, plantain and dandelion. Now I want to do lean beef for pemican and eggs and other items to make home made MREs for over night fishing and hiking trips. Ive watched several other videos and I saw this dehydrator in a few. Im excited to have expanded my capabilities and along with my canning I hope to shave plenty off my food bill this winter!
I love my Cosori. I put the trays in with lip up and have a half inch at the begining of the channels, that has the coating scratched off. Not a big deal because having the lip up is so helpful. I bought mesh from cabela's and cut mesh to fit. I keep mine in the kitchen and use it almost daily. I love how quiet it is. I did have another brand of machines that looked just like cosori and it was a bit bigger. I did not like because it was louder, it's temp settings were preset and at weird settings, like 97, 138, I can't remember all of them. I would rather set my own and it only ever would bring temp up to 135 inside at the 165 setting. I sent back. So my point is they may look the same as cosori, but does not mean they will be the same.
I just got mine on sale from Macy's for $139.99 then on top a $20 coupon on that. It comes with 3 mesh and 3 fruit roll trays included. Sounds like a heck of a deal and I pulled the trigger after watching this video halfway. I was looking at a MEAT brand one that in all is the exact same as the Corsori CP267-FD with the only difference is the branding and a higher price. Thanks for the review. I can't wait to make jerky and dried fruit with this!
Thanks for posting this video! I just ordered the Cosori. I could have waited until Christmas to get it as a present but it's zucchini time and I need it now!
I have a Ronco stackable that I had for so many years, I don't think I can count back that far. Santa brought me a 5 tray LEM for christmas. I love them both.
Thanks for the in-depth video on this, I got another brand I thought I was getting a good deal on then when i got it I realized how small it was. Sent it back and ordered this one. Thanks!
We LOVE this machine!! It is easy to clean, quiet, Dries herbs, veggies and fruit beautifully. We used it all last year 2020 during pandemic. It is sturdy and we like the stainless steel trays too. No regrets purchasing it. Going to get more mesh and silicone trays. We couldnt find the mesh trays last year so i used similar mesh sheets that i found in the craft section in the stores. Worked perfectly after we cut them to size.
Thank you . I ordered one with extra dryer sheets . I'm growing mushrooms . This looks perfect to process the Reishi mushrooms So they can be powdered . Also all the other types i grow for soups .
I can’t thank you enough for this review. I was going to get another dehydrator and was thinking another Nesco 75A, but after your two videos (this and comparing the three), I went with the Cosori. I used your link and it is coming in just one day (crossing fingers). For my needs, the 75A is not quite big enough but Excalibur is overkill. (I had the Excalibur for a short time.)
You make great videos ! Thank you , as I just ordered the Cosero dehydrator and your video will help me with getting started. I've watched four of your videos this morning, liked them all. Thanks again.
Love your reviews. I am debating on the 6 tray Cosori...or a Sahara 8 tray 11 sq ft. 750w. Foldable dehydrator. Cost is high..$395 base price. Since your nice thorough review on Cosori I am leaning in that direction. Thanks for saving me hundreds of dollars while I start, as a beginner, learning the skills of dehydration. 👍
Don't know if you saw this... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O-CELBdOl-4.htmlsi=xsT8UYRFE29ZCY6s The air-only feature and the ability to put it away when not in use is great. But budget definitely may be the issue for you.
Hello. Thanks for such a complete review. Appreciate it. I bought one after seeing another vid of yours lately. Really looking forward to using it. Love the idea of your Green Powder!! Thank you. I’m so happy I found your channel!
Found that my kiddos are planning to buy me a dehydrator for Xmas. Conveniently, it's listed on my Amazon so I did a switcheroo after watching your video comparing all three. Mama's gettin' a Cosori, baby!
All machines work on all things - as long as you have a temperature control. I have recommendations, but I don't just give a blanket one because it does matter about your space, your needs, your budget, etc. I do really love the Excalibur (but it's pricey and large). the Cosori stainless steel is good mid-grade and very quiet, but only 6 trays when there are some that are 10 (Magic Mill) for just a bit more. For a lot less you can get a Nesco Gardenmaster that goes to 30 trays, and it has a higher wattage than most, but you may not have space to store it, and may not need it, etc. So read through this - if you still have questions - I'm happy to answer: www.thepurposefulpantry.com/tips-for-buying-a-dehydrator/
I've been clunking along with a small 4 tray excalibur and nesco for a few years setting them up in the garage so I didn't have to hear them running. What a pita. I could only cut **so much fresh herbs** and **so much veggie X** to dehydrate at a time. After buying more property and having a huge amount of produce to store, canning supplies being scarce, I bought one of these the other day and I am looking forward to doing bulk batches.
Love you videos, you need to tell people you are talking American prices .Canadian prices are higher . Thank you for you honest review got a Cosori for Christmas and love it.
Great review. I've had mine since the end of December. I like it, but there are actually things I like better about the Nesco. I like that there is a lip on the Nesco trays and that the screens/fruit leather trays go all the way to the edge. Those two things combined make it much easier to load the Nesco. I also feel it is easier to put the Nesco away, especially since it can be taken apart. I even slide the Nesco under the couch. :) I'm limited on space, so the flexibility of the Nesco works well for me. By the way, I ordered my Cosori from Walmart and got it for $139.99 - with 3 mesh screens and 3 fruit leather trays. I just checked and it's currently out of stock there.
I love the way you do reviews. You put a lot of thought into your review. The cosori is a sweet looking dehydrator and it so quiet. I looked at this unit when I was looking for a dehydrator but I ended up with the presto. If I had seen your review before hand I would have purchased this instead.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9jFRRcsV5SU.html Compares the 2, Compares the 2 Cosori sizes. C-10 is still quieter than the Excalibur, but the Excalibur is on a great deal on Amazon for Prime if you're in the States.
Because of you I bought the cosori. Thanks! I really enjoy your videos and have learned a lot. Will be trying to do mushrooms but need to find one of those choppers.
You can do it by hand - but the chopper definitely makes it easier! I've never seen them in Walmart - got mine on Amazon, but you might find something like it locally to you.
