I paid around 12000 for mine and honestly it was the best decision I ever made. He was pretty knowledgeable and knew all the USCIS intricacies while constructing a strong case. It may seem like a lot of money but is your future we are taking about here. No RFEs, my case was approved in 60 days without Premium Processing and I got my GC in 2 years. Nothing wrong with DIY petitions those also work, just is not for me.
Thanks for sharing this video. My daughter is a scientist with an SRO. Funny thing we were talking about this yesterday. We are going to check with these lawyers
A slightly red flag about Amber from Waypoint Immigration is that she makes the whole thing seem impossible without a lawyer and (especially for EB1A) without 10+ years of work in the industry. Also, fearmongering about bad USCIS officers that issue unreasonable decisions doesn't float my boat either. I get it can happen, but I doubt it's that bad
Interesting, thanks for sharing. I think those two things you commented on are slight red flags for me too. I do say officers are a factor one can't control, and there are officers who are stricter than others...but depending how you say it, it can be perceived as fear mongering like you said.
The problem with cheapest law firms shown on this videos is that they only take easy cases, that is why the price is low. In my opinion if you have a strong case maybe is not even worthy pay , apply by yourself. I applied with Colombo because I was a little desperate I didn’t even know this kind of visa, all was good, however, a little red flag (or yellow) is that they convince you to pay make you thinking all is very easy, but when you are in, they make you get a lot of thing like LOR, LOI, business plans and so on, very overwhelming, this makes a lot of their customer think that was a scam but is not a scam is just marketing they get you. However, in my opinion the make a good case mine has over 400 pages and I am not a researcher
Hey, thanks for sharing your opinion. You are right that Chen and others can afford a lower price because they focus on easy cases . And I agree most of those cases could be easy DIY cases as well. Hope you are successful with Colombo!
Hey Colombo and Hurd is a outstanding law firm 🎉the best ones is expensive but they helped you in all cases . Trust Colombo because is a well known law firm around the world that’s why is so expensive because it’s outstanding professional job🎉
$8,000 is a pretty common number for EB2 NIW lawyer fees... I managed to get one that charged me $1,500 up-front and $2,500 if the visa is approved.... (and paid $750 for the RFE) but I did all the work, all the research, personal statement as you did and business plan... I kinda got cold feet and the end and hired a lawyer.... I'm not sure if it was the best decision.... Lawyers are good with legal arguments... but they also add a lot of complexity in communication and file management.... my deadline is tomorrow and I still don't know if the documents where sent on time.... didn't get the confirmation....
Keep in mind I'm not in academics. It's through business. It kinda works the same but also no... there are no cookie cutters for this.... you have to make a strong case for national importance and merit in business and hopefully social or other sectors...
Hi Oscar, do you have any idea on Delware Consulting from Florida. I am from Bangladesh and I have had some communication with them. Do you or any other have any idea or experience with this firm? would be grateful
Dear Oscar, I am your regular viewer. I am confident enough that you will clarify my doubt regarding uploading of legal document. I got my I 140 for my EB2 NIW petition on May 2024 and I have paid the nvc fee as per suggested in their email. also, I filled ds-260 form for me and my all accompany. Now, I stoked there. I am self petitioner and my country is Nepal. I was expecting some place to upload legal documents there in my nvc profile but it only says IV fee paid , IV application completed. no other options are there. should I fill affidavit for support and other fee also? should I email my colour photocopies to nvc? or curreer it? please suggest me.
You need to mail the documents , not email them. This is explained inside the NVC portal, you have the address there. Affidavit not needed for NIW. Congrats on the approval
Does it matter where you want to go? For example if you want to go to florida, it would be better to take a law firm located in florida? I am wondering if i should expand my sesrch but i dont know if the fact that rules are different among states is such a big factor. Also, do you know about: Loigica PA (Miami), Connie Kaplan? ** do you know Raju law firm through your customers/acquantaibces? Or is this just an impression based observation what is available online? Finally, would be awesome to do more videos like this recommending more firms dedicated for non-researchers. Thanks
Hi! No, any US lawyer will typically take a case anywhere and from the point of view of USCIS it does not matter. From the point of view of customer service I doubt many of the top lawyers will see you in person anyway. And no, I don't know that lawyer you mentioned. I don't really want to give more opinions about specific firms beyond the positive comment I threw for Chen in this video ;) but yes, I will consider making other videos for non-researchers - thanks for the suggestion
Hi Oscar, Thank you for this informative video. My USCIS case was approved and I received a letter from NVC by regular mail and they registered me as an agent for my eb2 visa case. I paid the IV fees and the ds-260 application is active, however I 'm confused because the "choice of address and agent" is inactive and I can't add my email. Any advice will be appreciated.
It's not too late but you'll need to spend a few hours consuming the content and applying the method to your response . The course is not RFE focused but all the teaching can be applied to your response
