Very informative. Such a wonderful service for anyone contemplating a move to New Brunswick. I might add...that if you are willing to settle in a small town or village rather than the city some of the services are cheaper, including rent. However, it may be of no advantage if you have to travel to the city for work. Keep up the good work Olu, you are a beautiful ray of sunshine for so many people wishing to make the transition to our Province.
Please as an immigrant aspiring to study in Newbrunswik, given the options of choosing to study either in St.johns or Moncton, which of these 2 places do you think is the best. Considering the cost of living.
Nice video, good information, please can you make a video on cost of living between Edmonton/Calgary Alberta and Moncton New Brunswick. Thank you, hope we get to see it. Thank you.
Hi there, thank you for the informative videos. I was wondering, where in Moncton would be great for international students from Africa? Been looking at the ads and most are specific about not renting to international students, the other ads are looking for Indian students. It's been quite a disheartening search thus far. However, if you may have some insight, preferably on the cultural composition of Moncton. I believe we would be much obliged🙏🏾 keep up the great work 👍🏾
Hi Lebohang. Thanks for reaching out. Students generally live close to their school. So for international student studying at the French university, they typically live around Elmwood which is close to the school, and students in NBCC live around mountain road. Hang in there and keep searching, you'll definitely get one soo 😊
Hello Dear you are doing great. I am getting a job offer soon for 2 years from University of Moncton. I want to know which PR program will be best and should I apply for PNP now or after a year or so of my job in New Brunswick.
Thanks for the informative video. It appears that you missed out the Codiac Transpo Link as promised. Do you think, getting a Driver's License Extract from one's Home Country, will do any good, in lowering Insurance Rates as witnessed in Ontario? Can you share tips on how best to ace the NB License Exams or at least the steps to getting one. If you've got an email address, for ideas of potential topics or questions that haven't been answered in any of your videos, kindly share. Once again, thanks for the video, you've been very helpful in many ways you don't know.
Thanks for the reminder, will include the link in the comment section. In New Brunswick, driver's license extract does not impact the amount you pay for insurance, unfortunately. Great question on the tips to pass the license exam, will prioritize making videos on how to choose a school as well as this question in the coming week. My email is olutsanmi@gmail.com. Let us connect. Thanks for always coming back on this channel
A good driver's abstract will get you a good discount, but only from other provinces. As for an abstract from the US, I'm not sure. Some provinces will give you a discount with a foreign drivers abstract.
lovely videos, Please can you do a video on all the social benefits available to new immigrants landing in New Brunswick ranging from child care benefits, etc. Thanks!
Thanks sis. This was very informative but pls can you do a video on which area is best to settle down as new immigrants Moncton or riverview. I will like to.connect with you. Thanks

I'm in love with NB. I am bilingual English & French 14 years in banking. I have registered on a few job Site and i will be attending job fairs for the province. Pleased keep me in your prayers!!! Can't wait to get there ***sorry for the long message.. 😂**
Hi Lydia, thanks for the comment, love your message 😊, I'm glad you find the videos valuable. Good to hear you are bilingual, it will be faster for you to get a job here. will remember you in prayers.
Loved the chart! I found this info and your page really helpful. I’ve been considering either Calgary or Moncton and you have experience in the both cities so I love this. Subscribed immediately 💃🏽💃🏽
Hi there, thanks for stopping by. International students can work the maximum hours allocated to them for work. There are lots of contacts centers that take student for part time role. Hope this helps 😊
Hi! Thanks for this video it very illuminating. I am planning on coming to Woodstock NB this fall I need information on how to get accomodation, job opportunities and all you've mentioned here in Woodstock NB context. I know this is a lot to ask but I will really appreciate if you can help. Thanks.
Ọmọ, the monthly expenses for a family of 4 is a lot oh. That means a family of 2 would be half. So I guess if it's about 2500 cad monthly, how much then is the least salary one can earn monthly?
Hi Olu we are looking at movin to Moncton In June 2022. Any leads for us to apply for jobs before we come as well as rental agencies where we can look at houses, 2 BHK we are a family of 3. Love your videos , very informative and helpful. Would appreciate your response thanks
Thank you for your information! What about the child benefit how much people getting in New Brunswick? And if you are an ather province you wanted to move to new Brunswick is there any requirements?
No requirements if you want to move to another province. You just have to eventually get your driver's licence changed. Child benefits are mostly federal. I you have children, I would not recommend NB, as you can not find a family doctor if you are a new comer and will be at the mercy of of walk in clinic if you can get into one.
I'd advise against it for the well being of your child, as access to healthcare here is poor not to mention getting a family doctor is impossible for newcomers.
I'm not there but for a single person i think 1000 is the minimum not 800 if you'd be living alone and not sharing with people , so i'd say its tough you barely break even working at minimum wage
Thanks for stopping by Happy Turtle. I agree with you, its tough to break even, but one can survive. And hopefully one won't have to do minimum wage for long.
Bottom line you need a good paying job to have a good standard of living in NB. You need to be able to afford some of the highest taxes in the country.
Hello.. I am currently in Ontario and working in the banking sector .. I am new to Canada almost 2 years and I am bilingual French and English .. Is there job prospects in New Brunswick in terms of job. Can we connect for more info
Hi Dany, thanks for stopping by. There are quite a few roles in banking sector and insurance here. Being bilingual will definitely give you an advantage as well. You can send me a mail on olutsanmi@gmail.com
Hello! I have applied in nbcc college in st.jhons and in Niagara college ontario for my further studies . So i am confused who to choose including both there pros and cons as a student to live there life their . So i want information that helps me if somebody have or they have some links where i can find then plz tell mee??
Hi Manav, thanks for stopping by. Unfortunately I don't have enough information about schools in Ontario. But what I hear from people studying in New Brunswick is the better chance of getting Permanent Residence. That may be one of the reason to consider
Hi Grace, thanks for stopping by. Yes you can survive. I speak only English and I have a job and survive pretty well. Almost everyone speaks English. In public places like hospitals, they'll ask you your language preference and speak to you in your choice. Hope this helps 😊
Property tax rate is sooooo high here. People pay non- owner occupied taxed on rentals here. Good luck finding a nice one bedroom here for $1000 a month.
Non owner occupied is when a person owns a rental property. Could be a house or an apartment the New Brunswick government charges up to 40 percent more property taxes on top the regular tax. Say I pay 3800$ Per year taxes on my house if I rent it out my yearly property taxes increases to 6200$. I’m certain this only happens in New Brunswick. 1300 a month for a 2 bedroom apartment I think is average rent here .. I know people paying much more that that. New Brunswick is crazy expensive to live based on average NB wages
Hi Jimmy, thanks for stopping by on this channel. It is not difficult getting a job here, depending on your career. But there are alot of transition jobs that you can start and be quite comfortable pending when you get your dream job. Hope this helps.
Hi Thiago, thank you for stopping by. So sorry about the sound effect. What part of the video didn't sound ok? I'll work on it in my subsequent videos. Thanks again
Thanks a lot, your video is insightful. Trying to apply for NCCB from Nigerian for studies with a family of 4. It's sound so expensive, due but I need your encouragement.
Thanks alot for reaching out. I transitioned into a new role at work and it requires some certification, trying to focus on this for now. Thanks for checking up on me 😊
Hi Christine, thanks for stopping by. There are quite a number of hotels here. And New Brunswick is big on tourism, though it slowed down due to covid, but you can always search on the internet to explore available jobs, check indeed.ca I'm sure you'll see some options.
We only have inter-province train in here. That means if you are going to Halifax, you can take the train, but there is no train services within moncton. I lived in Calgary and there's no underground transport there. Maybe there is in Toronto, not 100% sure
NB has the highest property taxes. NB has the highest income tax. You will pay more income taxes here on every dollar you make. Rent is ridiculous do to the fact the income property is taxed 40% more per year. Good luck finding a one bedroom for 800$. You will not drive a car here for 50 a month on gas. If you live in a house be prepared to pay $450 if not more a year to get snow removal We have absolutely nothing to do Even if you manage to find a job here it don’t pay well. And you probably won’t have good benefits . If you move here and you haven’t owed your car for 12 months you will pay full taxes on that vehicle again. When you buy a used car here the province will send you a bill for more taxes. ( I can give you more details) I can go on and on. I don’t recommend NB for young people. It’s ok if you move here from another province and have money.
Hello Dear you are doing great. I am getting a job offer soon for 2 years from University of Moncton. I want to know which PR program will be best and should I apply for PNP now or after a year or so of my job in New Brunswick.? Need your answer
Hi Bilal, thank you for stopping by on the channel. And congratulations on your upcoming move to Moncton. Unfortunately I don't have specific answer for this question, however I know New Brunswick have some good opportunities for students after their studies and if they choose to live in New Brunswick.
