Malawi has been hit very hard, for some reason the government devalued the money to half what it was meaning the poorest people are now twice as poor

It will depend on the exact exchange rate when you buy the materials, right now bricks are 18 kwacha each and the exchange rate is about 1,900

So you can do the math from there in theory you could build a 100 sq ft without the roof house for 500 USD but it depends also on the land cost and everything else that you want

Thanks for the comment Dan I hope you and marife and Shannon are all doing well over there. It's getting crazy in Malawi these days, it takes 1800 Malawi kwacha to make 1 us dollar.

Malawi is an agriculture country so they are many vegetables it's up to you on whether to be vegan or not but mind you we don't have vegan only restaurant like USA

No, eating vegan is not biblical so I do not do that. But an answer to your other question you can buy well over 100 mangoes for a dollar. Mangoes will run from 5: to 20 kwacha each depending on the season and it takes 1200 kwacha to make a dollar.

@@sambassett417 mangoes price will depend on the area you are living but in my home town mangoes are free cos we have lot of trees but all in all 1 dollar can get you 1 to 2 kg of mangoes
