Bangkok and Pattaya are more modern than London and Birmingham, and the weather is very warm. That's why so many British people immigrate to Thailand.

I 100% agree on the weather and I’ve not been to Bangkok for about 7 years so very hard for me to comment on that. I can say there are lots wrong with the UK and London - the Middle East and East are definitely evolving faster. Appreciate you watching my videos 🤝

@@gazwrighttravel But I can be sure that Pattaya is much better than Birmingham, Pattaya has large shopping mall, luxury hotel, restaurant, McDonald's, Burger King, KFC, shopping street, beautiful sea view

@@BB-yi6qn sounds like a great set up to me. Love the addition of KFC, Maccies and Burger King as selling points 😂

Two pints and a packet of crisps back home for the same cost of a week there it seems

Sushi took up half that daily cost. Had a local dish last night. Actually I got two because I need some extra cals and it was £2.40 with a massive bottle of water 😂

How do you find it eating with allergies, do places cater for it or do you really struggle?

SE Asia is always a struggle in all honesty. But there are so many amazing places it’s worth compromising on the food. I usually go for Japenese or an Italian with a wood fried over. They are the most safe. Second option is to find a local place where there speak really good English and I just speak to the Chef. One Chef to another👨🏻‍🍳 Hoi An has been the best in Vietnam so far - we’ve been able to go to 3 different places. Whereas Sapa I had 3 margaritas a day for 4 days, which I like to call less than ideal. Vietnam is amazing so I’d deffo recommend. Cambodia was worst as we ate at our hotel, where I clearly explained my allergy and they served me a dish with peanuts in. Didn’t realise until it was to late, so I ended up in hospital. They also tried to charge me for the death meal as I left. Malaysia was brilliant and loads of options. Long and short there is always something and somewhere to eat. Obviously have to comprise on having a local experience but a small price to pay. What countries or places were you specifically thinking of?

@@gazwrighttravel Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was hoping you would say it's really well catered for but I having spent time in Thailand I know it can be a challenge. I really want to explore Vietnam so was interested in your experience there as the food looks incredible but when you have allergies it can be a stressful time when language is a barrier.

@@CryptoFairway-lm3tb yeah it’s deffo not ideal. But it’s a case of being super careful and enjoying it or not going at all. I always think it’s worth it. It’s not as bad as Thailand but there are peanuts in a lot of things. Japanese and Italians - you can’t go wrong

@@gazwrighttravel Thanks, seems peanuts are widely used and you can't always trust when asking for it to be nut free as translation often get's lost. I do like Japanese and Italian though. Cheers.

Haha that’s a shame! This weeks goal: read the dictionary and increase the vocabulary. I forget what I’ve said the day before and it always seems more condensed when I edit it all together 😂
