Megan just a tip if some of your family likes pasta in their soup cook the pasta separately rinse with cold water then just let people add it to their own bowl of soup. The reason I rinse with cold water is so when you store the extra pasta for the next day it doesn't clump together.🙂🇨🇦🙏
Megan it’s a running joke in every Mexican household that moms don’t care how hot it is outside if they want caldo they’re gonna make it! And yes we all sweat too but best believe we’re gonna eat it!!!! YOU MAKE THOSE SOUPS MEG!!!
I mince a lot of garlic in my smaller food processor and freeze how you suggested. Another thing I do with garlic is put the minced garlic in olive oil and put in a small jar and refrigerate it. Use as needed.
Or U’ve seen individual blend it into a paste and freeze in ice cube trays, I believe then pour a bit of olive oil over each cube😃👍🏼 I’m sure there is a recipe or example on Pinterest 😃👍🏼 Also regarding larger quantities of meat you can divide up amounts at home and freeze😃👍🏼 This way especially if the price is better than grocery store it’s a win win and you have your meat covered in the freezer ready to create a delicious meal. Thanks for sharing your Costco shopping time😃👍🏼 It’s always nice to see if the Costco you go to has different items than the one I go to😃👍🏼
Megan here in Jamaica we have soup traditionally every Saturday and at almost every big gathering no matter how hot it is. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Take care and God bless you all
The pumpkin spice cream reminds me of when my visiting teacher brought me a homemade pumpkin spice masque and my husband fed it to the baby! Haha! Oops!
I cook my pasta aside of my soup. I warm it when needed and add it last minute to my bowl . My family loves it as each of them chooses to add as much as they liked to their soup. Bonjour de Quebec
I love yalls videos! The way mike just takes his time and lets Megan wander around and enjoy your time while supporting you is so nice to see. I laughed out loud a few times. Megan is so funny. Watching a Costco shop is more entertaining than some other very popular you tubers I watch lol
It’s time to change your beginning video. Love watching you. Been watching for years and years. From your travel blogs to homeowner then now renting again. Happy boo day ….and god bless.
Your videos are so fun! We watched September Pies, and I've tried to do October Pies (with a few missed days here and there). What a fun tradition! Your desire to make delicious, homemade food, and improve your cooking/baking skills, is right up my alley! I appreciate learning new cooking and baking techniques also.
I was in Moorseville NC for winter 2009-2010 and it snowed a lot! Being from Australia, I was so delighted. I hope you guys get snow this winter! Loved this video.
Megan , I have been backing ginger bread houses every year Christmas for the past 35 years. It will be no problem for you, it’s so easy to make the dough, just remember that you must make it in advance,it needs to rest and swell for many hours. We design our creation a lot of the time from someplace we’ve been that year or something that has happened in our life. It can be a house,a church, the Eiffel Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge and of course when the children were small, they decided what it was to be. For me drawing the pattern is difficult my husband always does that and it helps to have an extra pair of hands to build it up 😅
Those cherries are on my niece’s Christmas list every year. My husband keeps buying the limited edition Kirkland Maple Syrup. He doesn’t even eat pancakes. He just has a teaspoon a day as a treat. The Bourbon maple syrup makes THE BEST homemade chocolates! I stock up every fall/winter to last through the whole year as I make chocolates for friends.
I love your Costco shopping trips, it’s so interesting that your selection of items are so different than our Costco here in California. I wish we had some 22:37 of the item you showed! Please show some of your soup recipes! Love your channel 🥰😊
minced all that garlic and make them into balls/pucks and put in a freezer bag and use them for dishes you making, its so convenient! just toss them in frozen to what you're cooking.
Hi ! Just found this sight during pie month. I can cook but can’t make a boiled crust to save me. Every one of your crust looked like a piece of art. You probably already do this but I save all my Parmesan rinds in a freezer bag and throw them in my soups, stews & sauces. Go to Aldi and grab a $5.00 bottle of morello cherries in syrup. You can find a fancy little jar at the thrift store. Looking forward to more videos. Thank you 🙏
I love every video you post-the best is because it is never the same! I love all of Mikes little comments-he’s hilarious! You two are the best combination! Love you both. I find it funny that you never have a list-I HAVE to shop with a list or I’d forget something (and it’s just me!) Another fun video. I love The Knorpps!!
Will you go into detail or not eating sugar and wheat please? Are you doing gluten free? Would love more details of this if you’re comfortable sharing. We have our autistic son on a gluten free diet but I’ve been considering it for myself. My problem would be the sugar.. which tells me I need to get rid of it.
Super video today, Guys! Love Megan’s antics at Costco…so funny ♥️ The fireplace surround was made lovely, once again, by the Knorpp magic touch. Looking forward to seeing it in the room, all “styles up!” 🙏😊
for the garlic, we always peel and chop them when we buy alot. use a food processor with a bit of neutral oil, and then freeze them into cubes! so useful to pull out later and you dont sacrifice the flavour of fresh garlic.
Or… simply peel the individual cloves, lay them out on a cookie sheet and freeze. Once frozen, transfer to a freezer bag. So easy to pull out just what your recipe needs - and never need to throw out sprouted or dried up garlic again!
My problem with knee high boots is I have small ankles but big calves! I have yet to find a pair that fits here in the UK. I love soups! Especially lentil made with smoked bacon! Great, fun video!
Hi again, I do not normally comment twice on a video, but forgot a couple things. One, you don't go through meats/groceries as fast as before as your older teens are no longer in your household (trust me, I went through it too with just two). Also, I make soups and gumbos year round when I'm in the mood as we love them no matter the time of year. Nothing is just "seasonal' in our house. I'm deep south through and through.
Love watching Very interesting shopping trip I love watching other people shop because they always have something you haven’t tried Thank you for sharing
Qvc carries high-quality wide calf boots and they also sell half sizes. I buy that bag of garlic from Costco and I make a honey garlic ferment That’s fantastic for the winter months when you get sick or to prevent you from getting sick. I also bought that Jim shore, large grinch that you walked past in the beginning of the video. They make a new one every year. I bought one last year and then I bought the new one this year. They’re super cute and they’re only $49 opposed to a couple hundred anywhere else for that particular size.
Meg, I just looked on Amazon and they sell an Organic Gnocchi, wheat free. Main ingredient is potatoes of course. I’m going to order it and give it a free.
I loved your bread tutorial from a couple years ago. Would you consider a soup tutorial? I'd love to hear your tips for your favorite soup bases and additions!
Look for microfiber boots with a bit of stretch in them. They are really soft. Look at Macys or DSW. Make sure you spray water proofing in them. I love mine ❣️
I’m with you on puff pastry, so hard to get hold of, when I see it in a grocery stores I stock pile them and make UK style sausage rolls and cheese straws. Always a favorite at Xmas and b’day party’s. So much easier to buy bulk 👍🏻
Love Costco too! Tip for the garlic: peel and put thru garlic press or chop finely. Put in ice tray with lid. After frozen you can leave them in trays or put in freezer bag. When you need garlic just slice some off!
Naturalizer has beautiful knee high Wide Calf Boots! Long time watcher... 1st time commenter, had to share with all my cankle ladies! Megan, can we be best friends? God bless your family!
Just an idea… can next year be a pie then a soup/stew/casserole every other day? Just think about it… If you do dinner and pie all in the same day and share each of those recipes you kill 2 birds with one stone 😉 15 meals with dessert would be 30 videos. Love you Knorpp family!
Yoghurt or its vegan substitutes just replace everything. 1 to 5 spoons in omelets or scrambled ( or chickpea variation) eggs, in curry sauces, baked bean in tomatosauce, in salads, in milkshakes,... Spoiler alery: this video smells of pumpkinspices and tastes of gingerbread ;-)))
You can freeze garlic 🧄 i buy in bulk then separate and pill & stick them in a freezer bag. So easy & convenient especially when you use garlic in everything like me 😋
