Still using it strong today. No regrets and still working as good as day 1. Like I mentioned the video, never run the pump dry, always use the fuel shut off when turning it off, and lastly, once it's off, depress the hose one last time to relave the pressure before disconnecting the hose.
Almost bought this last year in fall for 299 and scored it today for $199 at Costco!!! Can’t wait to use it when spring arrives for our new two story house 🤓
Great video I happened to have one but the old style built-in 2020. I just took it in to have the pump replaced. A total of $188 with labor. The mechanic said the pump usually lasts about 4 to 5 years.
I've had this unit for two years now and it still runs good, initially used it commercially cleaning houses but the plastic wheels didn't fair well so had to retire it but still used it frequently.
I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. ru-vid.comUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.
Great Review! Tried to purchase from Costco after watching your take and I am sold! Unfortunately, it is all sold out as of 03/17/23. Will only purchase from Costco as their return policy is unmatched!
Get the same female receptacle for the nozzle holding places that's on the gun end. Screw them on the back plate and you can securely mount your accessories.
Thanks, I just picked this up today at COSTCO but was hesitant due to some reviews. My old HONDA washer finally died after 13 years (engine still good but have gone through 3 pumps). Used this 3 hours today and worked awesome. Hope it stays like this. Good tip on the fuel shutoff first then turn the off switch. Now what to do with the old Honda engine..
2:20 of rambling, then "let's go ahead and jump right to this!" 🤣Good information, but very wordy. Hard for me to get the basics down with you being all over the place at times. Thanks for being thorough though!
I have a 3200 unit and yesterday it broke itself, oil all over the floor... Sometimes the cord pulls on me causing a whipping effect when I start it and have caused injury...
I bought this washer in July of 2021, but didn't use it until this month (Nov 2023). It started without a problem and ran great... for about 30 minutes. The engine shut itself down about 30 minutes into the project, as if it ran out of gas or someone flipped the ON/OFF switch. But, it had fuel in the tank. I turned off the water and let it set for about half an hour, then started it back up. It ran like a champ for all of 6 minutes before it shut down again. I packed it up and put it away for a couple of days. Today, I checked all the nuts and bolts, tightened a few, filled the gas tank and started it up again. It performed beautifully for about 30 minutes and, again, it shut itself off. If I can find a solution online somewhere, its going back to Costco. Such a shame... it's a nice pressure washer.
Mine does the same ran for 30 minutes then it ran for like 10 minutes. A guy that works for a pressure washer company. Suggested I look for a loose soap hose connection. So far everything looks tight. So I’m testing it out one more time then back to Costco it will go. I really like the machine so far.
Thanks. Just bought this today from Costco. Could you do a video using it along with details you said in this video. Turning it on and when to do so, how to use by showing and explaining, when and how to turn off… would highly appreciate it. New subscriber! Pls and thx.
Excellent video, I love mine but actually considering electric for washing cars as this is a bit too powerful. How is yours holding up as its been more than a year.
I use the power button to shut off and its been fine for 2+ years. I only use fuel shut-off last time before winter. But listen my real question is this: when you put soap in the reservoir and your multi wand on soap setting, what do you do to stop using soap? (I unplug the soap hose from under the pump but i'm looking for a more efficient way)...thanks!
The soap reservoir is activated when you use low pressure nozzle like the "soap nozzle" on the wand, also if you don't put any nozzle on the wand, soap will still come out. The pump feels less resistance and automatically starts to siphon soap from the reservoir. When you switch to a high pressure nozzle on the wand, the soap will stop as the pump is working harder due to resistance not allowing soap to be siphoned anymore. You don't need to disconnect the soap hose. Yes there might be a little soap that may continue to
Hi Chris, I have this exact model. I would have it run fine for about an hour, then I took a break. After the break, the unit would run for about 15 minutes then turns itself off. I'd wait for a few minutes to restart, then it would run for another 5 minutes then stops again. Each time, it gets shorter and shorter! Do you think it is because it gets too hot? Kind of strange if that is how it works. I've had this unit for about a year and this is my 2nd time using it. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
It might be a dirty carburetor. The good thing is that engine is easy to work on if you are willing to do so. Shut off the fuel and take the carburetor off to disassemble and clean. There's lots of youtube videos that shows how to do this. My advice is if you are willing to do this yourself, take pictures of how it looks like before you take it apart. These engines are not difficult to work on and are designed to be maintained.
@@Mr-Chris Thanks Chris. I let it cool off and continued to work the next day. It ran for an hour a half without turning off. Somehow, if it ran for that long time, take a 15 break and restart, then it would not stay on. Sounds like a thermal sensor or something? Thanks for your feedback Chris.
I used a Huskvarna 3200 video to get me going when I first bought it from Costco a year or so ago. It worked GREAT. I just set it up again, by the book, and attached the garden hose and turned on the water to get rid of any air in the pump line, as told to do in the instructions, prior to starting the engine. Nothing happened. No water came out of the connection for the power hose. When I started to unscrew the input connection a little bit of water squirted back. The screen looks ok. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks much, man!
I can’t believe I can return it after a year! And I still have the box, etc. If it needed to be repaired, I just can’t afford it. Thanks for sharing your experience‼
We have a super silly question…how do you switch from soap back to water? We have the same model but there are a few differences one of those is we still have the 4 different nozzles. Do you just switch the tip?? So confused…Thanks!
The nozzle, when you use the soap nozzle, the pressure washer senses the low pressure and pulls soap from the soap Reservoir. When you switch to a high pressure nozzle, it stops pulling from soap and only uses water.
I just picked one of these up at Costco after my 3100 crapped out on me. Any suggestions how to minimize calcium build up in the pump? I believe that’s what happened to my 3100 as water wouldn’t even circulate through anymore. I did run the water out after each use like the Manuel suggested but it still plugged up. Thanks for the video!
Currently at Costco looking at a pressure washer that looks the same as yours but I'm assuming it's a new model... JDX208 208cc $389.99. I just returned the Husqvarna 2000 electric because plugging it in the breaker trips on the pressure washer cable, breaker won't reset and won't turn on (Thank you Costco for having an awesome return policy!). I'm hoping the gas Husqvarna will last longer but if it doesn't I'll be back in the return line. Thanks for the review!🤙🏻
I have that same pressure washer from Costco. Mine seems to run at a very high RPM. Seems like it's pushing 4000 RPMs. I have a tachometer on order. Does yours seem to run too fast? Those small engines can run above 3600 RPMs for too long.
Thanks for the video. I just purchased this. I had a question on storing the handle in the cradle. Is yours loose? I feel as thought it should lock into place?
I have one, the choke switch keeps popping out while engine running and messing with me. Also it has a very awkward surge up and down consistently when idle. I can definitely use this machine but when the time is right I'll replace it with a Honda
Hi, appreciate your video. I tried to start my 2022 same model pressure washer but it would shut off when I slid the choke over to run. On my last attempt, I think the pull cord bound up because now it won’t pull out more than a few inches. Thoughts? This is my first gas power washer. I’m tempted to take off the start cord cover but that might be a disaster. Thank you.
if an engine only runs with the choke on, then it's not getting enough fuel through the carburetor normally, it likely needs cleaned. You should be able to safely unbolt the starter housing without anything going flying so you can at least see if something is stuck or whatever.
Just brought this pressure washer and when trying to register Husqvarna said they do nothing with this product. They pointed me to the nearest Briggs& Stratton dealer. Having a garage full of Husqvarna products, I will never buy another one of their products since they can't do something as simple as look up the serial number.
Hey Chris, im not familiar with costco satisfaction guarantee, did they give you your money back or a discount when you return the older model? Also did you need a receipt? (I got the older version secondhand and now worried it will die on me)
You don't need a receipt, but you need to have bought it from Costco. they can search your history and verify that you bought it when you return it. If you bought it second hand, Costco won't return it as they won't be able to find a record of you purchasing it.
Since I always starve the carburetor dry of gas when I am done washing (instead of turning off by switch)... It takes about a few pulls to start. My sequence is I turn the fuel on with choak but leave the switch off, I do a few light pulls to get gas in carburetor. Then I turn on the switch and it typically starts on the first pull.
I used it 3 times, and now it doesn't start no matter what I tried , used good fuel and used all fuel up in the tank. I think carburetors are not very good on them :(
Brand new. Finally got Out of the box amd Set up. Put oil in. Unleaded gas I think I’m doing something wrong with the choke but I can’t really figure out what the process is there
I am having a problem with starting it. I can barely pull the start pull rope. I have the water hooked up and and have purged the system. Still can not pull the engine to start it.
#1 try to pull the trigger on the gun and pull it, if that doesn't work you may by hydolocked. #2 Remove the spark plug and give it a few pulls and if you see liquid shoot out from spark plug hole, it might now be fixed. Put the spark plug back in and see if it works.
Just bought one from Costco. Had to return it. Couldn’t get the nozzle to lock onto the wand. A poorly made product. Heard there are gasoline leaks from the carburetor sticking and hose fittings leaking. Some can’t get them started. Made in China also. Everything looks well positioned for easy use though. But the parts are not quality fitting at all. I called Husqvarna and they said call a Briggs and Stratton dealer near me.
That's normal, it takes about 3-5 min to turn off and sputters. Sounds like it's struggling and starts to surg. This is all normal and won't hurt it. It's burring off the remaining gasoline left and highly recommended by small engine mechanics.
I find it easier to drain it from the carburetor drain plug. Make sure your fuel shut off is off and open the drain plug, some gas will pour out, then using a container with a funnel under the carburetor, open the fuel shutoff and let the gas drain out. Here's a good overview from another manufacturer, but the practice is the same. wenproducts.com/blogs/resource-center/how-to-drain-your-generators-carburetor-for-storage
you have to use the soap settings/nozzle(s) for it to draw soap from the tank. it comes out mixed with water at a very low pressure. any of the more pressurized settings will be only water.
2-1-24 This is absolutely the worst pressure washer I have ever purchased! Shut off after 5 minutes - I read that it could be do to the oil sensor, I did everything to specs twice and it still shuts off!
Agreed, but COSTCO has your back if anything goes wrong. I just completely cleaned a 28' RV that was NASTY in a few hours. Worked like a champ. The rotating heads is super convenient.
Actually it was a plastic carb in the older 3100 Pressure Washer. I took it apart myself and can attest that the entire carburetor including the jets are all 100% Plastic. The good thing is that this new one 3200 is metal.
