One thing I'm a little curious about is how, typically as you've talked about here and in other videos, if the entire metagame revolves around one incredibly overpowered pokemon, it is usually banned. But there's been examples of incredibly powerful pokemon who the meta is almost entirely shaped around, like gen 2 Snorlax that weren't banned, I'd be interested in a video explaining why Snorlax, for example, wasn't banned despite completely dominating the OU tier
i like how the general consensus is that grass type is a terrible defensive type but when it comes to competitive there's always one mon that's hard to killl BECAUSE it's grass type
tbh i never liked the whole thing of dark types being completely immune to prankster, it should just put the moves a priority bracket of +0, otherwise it's like a soft taunt/disable which to me is broken
I see people coming up with counters here, and yeah they exist but the whole point of 1v1 is to bring 3 pick 1, your Whimsicott answer could just as easily lose to the other 2 mons they brought and if steam didn’t have a Whimsicott answer then Whimsicott just got free wins
I love how lore-wise Black Kyurem is supposed to be this insanely powerful creature being the merging of 2 almost godlike Dragons, but gameplay-wise it has historically always been very underwhelming until very recently
I imagine that an effective counter for this would be liquid ooze tentacruel, but I guess it would be a big risk when figuring out which pokemon your opponent was bringing as it's a very limited counter.
LOL Focus Punch Iron Fist Conkeldurr just to deal with a little grass fluff. This made me laugh so much. Thanks for your videos, they’re pretty informative and unique!
