@@mcmxxi1172 Dr. Fate never dies. Either Nabu has imprisoned him in the tower of destiny, or someone new will be Dr. Fate. Dr. Fate is a title. But I think they wouldn't kill Kent Nelson so quickly without introducing him better. It could be in a killed copy. We'll find out in future movies. He didn't fight in the movie anyway.

But that's the problem. Overpowered characters become very difficult to write. Even look in the comics. Doctor Fate really only shows up when there's a huge event going on. Like when the Spectre went crazy and when the evil Batmen from multiple universes began invading the main earth. But that's also a good way to know that if Doctor Fate has to step in, then you KNOW shit is about to get serious.

I was introduced to the doctor from the DCAU and was interested in him ever since. I tried finding some comics about him but didn't have much luck. how you described him sounds a lot like how he was in Injustice 2 and I dig it, if its for the best outcome he'll ultimately lose for the greater good. He's not a powerhouse that has to 'win' every time. and I did love his portrayal in Black Adam so much i wish this was his movie instead. However he does make a good supporting character considering how powerful he is.

Well in the movie Kent Nelson gets killed off in a contrived meaningless sacrifice and apparently there were reshoots for this movie so my theory is the rock saw that ppl were watching this movie for dr fate and him only and he decided to include a scene where fate dies 😐

But that is why Dr. Fate shouldn't have even been in the movie.. There is no way to show the full extent of his powers and still have Black Adam be a match for him. Fate needs his own solo film. Because he doesn't fit on this team.

Well he was lol. Sadly. I knew he'd be nerfed but not to that extent. Good action packed movie though. I'm not too upset about Fate being nerfed though as it could just be one of this long games and probably the next Dr Fate (if the character is ever brought on screen) would be more powerful

That's what I was thinking too. I feel there's a premise to why he wasn't has powerful as he normally would and there's and endgame behind him dying and setting Adam free. I feel the next Dr Fate would be able to harness more power.

I don't see it, Constantine is way to chaotic, loose and free. He'd never join with a Lord of order, he has trouble even working with them. They're good poler opposites though, both on the side of good just with different methods.

That spectre wasn't amped up .. But like a Decoy .. Fate just stalemated An Amped Up version of Spectre which has all the magic combined.. Fate could have won , but He let spectre kill him

😂...Dr Fate was doing so many spells in the movie, was calm and collected the whole time and was the reason BA was released from his prison. The Rock played a character who isn't just big and strong. Black Adam has enhanced intelligence, lightning powers, super speed, and is dedicated to protecting the people of Khandaq and those people worship him as a God. That's very different than being a big strong guy. This is 8.75/10, don't nitpick a good movie.

@@RenaldyCalixte bruh, the rock literally has a contract so that his characters are always strong & never lose or take very few punches, that's the reason he got into a fight with vin diesel because their ego & contracts clash Literally Black Adam has like 5 long sentences in the whole movie, the rest are short answers to other characters talking He became dedicated to protect his country at the end of the movie after the woman & her kid convinced him that he could be a heroe, did you watch black Adam or white Steve? Doctor fate did a clone spell, a giant golden cross to detain Black Adam, a mind spell & golden ropes, woaaaaah so many spells omg you can fill a whole page!

Black Adam was disoriented from being awoken from his tomb. Therefore he didn't speak much at first. Halfway through the movie he becomes a sarcastic a hole that argues with the JSA about how to keep people safe. I guess you fell asleep during those scenes. 😂. Even if the Rock has a contract there's no way in hell his Black Adam character goes undefeated in every DC movie fight. He barely defeated Dr. Fate and needed Hawkman's help to defeat Sabacc. Steve Rogers isn't worshipped as a God. He also can't shoot lightning from his fingertips. Rogers is viewed as a hero of history in the US like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln. So it's obvious you're nitpicking the movie to pieces.
