Imagine if some of the villians that died young had lived into adulthood and were able to train and grow. Ninja like Deidara, Kimimaro and especially Haku. Crystal Ice Mirrors is one of the coolest keke genkai in the whole series. Those three easily could've all gone beyond Kage tier.

He is very poorly written. Every bomb is far stronger than a chidori, and he can use hundreds of them with no effort. He has as much chakra as much chakra as God. Terrible character

Heck even the next villains like kara and code wanted to do the same thing while akatsuki's members each had a different goal on why they joined.

The only one I disagree is Zetsu. I'd put him below Deidara. I think Deidara vs Kisame would be a very tough fight and it could go either, but I'd say Kisame edges him out.

@@DygoKnight Like I said, It's debatable between the three. Deidara and Kisame are performing Sannin lv shit by spitting out lakes of water and clay respectively. C4 and "The Tailess Tailed Beast command respect. However, Zetsu can Mayfly (similar to Kamui) but also possess any shinobi and replicate their DNA. Not only could he possess/immitate, he could resist the infinite Tsckuyomi. And if he can resist that, then he can resist Itachi's Tsckuyomi. Deidara and Kisame would fall prey to Itachi's genjutsu the same way Orochimaru did.

i wouldn't put him above Sasori, Konan or Kakuzu. Sasori is implied to be stronger than Deidara, even Deidara admits it. It wouldn't even make sense narratively for Deidara, who calls him "Master Sasori" to be stronger than him. Konan beat Sasori to initiate him into the Akatsuki. I don't think Deidara has the AP to beat Kakuzu, nor does he have any lightning style jutsu to pierce through Kakuzu's durability. Kakuzu easily tanked tailed beast bombs and didn't even die to Naruto's rasenshuriken. On top of that he's "immortal" and has long ranged attacks as well.

It has always been able to see chakra, same with the Rinnegan. The Byakugan can see CHAKRA POINTS, which the Hyūga uses taijutsu specifically designed to disable their opponents ability to use their chakra properly.

Honestly Naruto only stands a chance in KCM2. Naruto is a close range fighter and while he is able to throw the Rasenshuriken in KCM1, Deidara can flat out avoid it while bombarding Naruto with bombs non-stop.

Even if Deidara’s bombs are stronger then Madara’s & The Nine Tails I highly doubt there that much stronger to the point that Harshiruma couldn’t heal himself or deflect them ! @@aceclover758 he didn't break out of it. He knew sasuke would probably not die that easily and he would be ambushed, so he was hiding and having that clay clone from the beggining. Deidara was caught în a genjutsu by sasuke twice, and he never escape from it.
