Could Forza Horizon 2 Be Overwritten? 

Phil Spencer talks about how game preservation is oh-so-essential while Horizon 2 suffers in silence in the corner of the room. I've considered buying a xbox one just to play FH2, in India where consoles are scarce.There's absolutely 0 digital codes available online.

There is a chance that the X360 version of Horizon 2 could be somewhat salvaged by modders. ISO patching, especially for 7th-gen, has become more popular since RPSC3 and Xenia have been making improvements. Lately, we've seen the Master Mod for Gran Turismo 5 and in the JRPG space the backporting of Persona 5 Royal content into the standard PS3 version. It's gonna be some time before anything like those could be done for X360 games but who knows.

glad to see others still having the same concerns about this games xbox 1 version, really hoping we see an xbox one emulator. Playing xb1 version of this game in 4k 60 would look amazing

*I'll admit the X360 version should have been done with the same content as the XONE version , but with a huge graphics downgrade, the playground should rework the 360 version from FH2 and make a FH1 remaster, but probaly never happen.*

It's great to see that others are actually concerned about this game, as it's one of the best, if not the best horizon game to date, in terms of overall enjoyability. the fact that pgg just began to neglect it after it's 4 years were up is sad, and I hope that it does get fixed at some point.

I just have the really big (and highly unlikely) wish that for the 10th anniversary, for a few days, older Horizon titles would be able to be purchased (For example Horizon 3 on the MS store). I got into Forza with Horizon 4 and I seriously feel like I've missed out on previous titles. Horizon 2 is probably my favourite from all the videos I've seen, as the map and graphics are stunning. I recently tried emulation for the first time. Horizon 1 runs well, and I'm very glad about that. Horizon 2 for the 360 is just... strange. Like you mentioned in the video. I know it's more unlikely than anything else, but I always dream that, one day, we could just be able to purchase the previous titles... I don't even have an XBOX, so I'd have to get Horizon 3, which clearly looks beautiful too!

360 Horizon 2 is not that bad considering Sumo Digital had to more or less "reassemble" the game on horizon's 1 engine, sure the map had to be stripped clean of every detail, sure the graphics looked like they hadn't finished rendering yet, sure a whole lot of stuff was missing, sure you would be better off with FH1, sure there are better backports of next gen games on the 360, sure their time would've have best been spend on PC port.... BUT... You were only 60$ poorer as you didn't have to spend on newer hardware to play the real version. TL;DR: this is the people's version.

FH2 for the 360 is like a prototype version of it

This was also my major problem after I finish playing FH1 on Xenia, I tried playing FH2 xbox 360 ver. at first 30 mins but man everything looks dead, I wont going to buy a used xbox one just to play FH2 xbox one disc version, there is some way to emulate xbox one, hopefully looking forward in the future.......

I actually played the original FH2 on the Xbox 360, I didn't experience any of the issues you did, my only issue with the game was that it didn't have tuning

To be honest, Xbox 360 Forza Horizon 2 should have been given a little more development time, Like PS2/PSP Test Drive Unlimited.

I think an Xbox one emulator would be created faster than overs once it's cracked (the first steps are made) due to the fact that the games are uwp programs and you game already run Windows store games that are uwp on the xbox

TBH the Xbox 360 version of FH2 ain't that terrible but lacked a bit of polish due to hardware limitations in mind for the console. That being said after playing the Xbox One version, I wonder if there will truely be an Xbox One or Playstation 4 emulators in the near future but then again since these are basically cutdown gaming PCs it's very unlikely.

Games are so weird. We have most wanted with the xbox 360 being superior to pc, forza horizon 2 pc being superior to 360, cyberpunk being broken on launch for consoles, callisto protocol being fine on consoles but broken on pc...

Still waiting for xenia to improve the performance so the livery editor works for both horizon 1 and horizon 2 on the 360 work

I mean, microsoft could at least sell FH3 on steam, but not only they are not doing that, they are about to delist 4 so... They could just renew the licenses and sell pc version of h2 and 3

I believe emulation wouldn't really be necessary in this case. Xbox One games are by most part just UWP apps, so it would be easier to get those decompiled to some extent and find a way to have 'em run on Windows than to actually emulate an Xbox One. That's just my two cents.

Well the first step for a potential jailbreak has been done or not but a nand dump has been done the fh3 dev build has a lot of left overs and based on some internal stuff the game engine didn’t have any internal changes too much so it might be possible to port the map over but that is just a theory

i hope one day an xbox one emulator will finally appear and there will be an iso version of xbox one fh2 because fh2 on the 360 is not practically great compared to the previous version which with abit of a tweak from some youtuber tutorial that definitely doesn’t contain any malicious software installed run better than fh2 360 port and fh2 has a great ost

Not everyone will be as intelligent, but I have been playing and enjoying FH2S to an extent, understanding the limitations of it being a demake outsourced to Sumo who was busy with multiple projects at the time. I think it's really intriguing to see the differences and glitches that wouldn't have been seen otherwise. FH2P is obviously better, but I think the other one is fine as well

Could you do a tutorial on how to get fh1 to run smooth? I have a good computer but I don’t know how to configure everything to make it run right as I am a very very big dummy when it comes to technical stuff and need a physical aid. If you can that’s great if not no worries. Thank you!

I've never really been interested in the Xbox's library except for 3 games : Forza Motorsport 4 , Horizon 1 and Horizon 2. I've gotten into Forza when they started releasing the games on PC (so, since Horizon 3) and when I heard the first 2 Horizon games were the best in the series, of course I wanted to play them. And then I heard Forza Motorsport 4 was an awesome game AND it had Jeremy Clarkson ? Well, now I want to play this too. But I don't want to buy a whole console just for these 3. Also, I have a question : how does Horizon 2 run better on the Steam Deck than my PC that's more powerful ? Are there special settings I'm missing ? Also every single game I try to play on Xenia crashes on me 2 minutes after I start them.

Regarding lack of XBOX One emulator, I think there's also contributing factor that there's not nearly as much demand for it, due to XBOX consoles being backward compatible all way to original XBOX One. With X360 and XBOX games you're limited to selected games with official downloable ports, and they often lack any improvements you'd expect from hardware as powerful as modern XBOX console.

My first Horizon 2 experience was on Xbox 360. A terrible port. FH5's Xbox One port did better, although it has very long loading screens and crashing.

I'm going to say it, what was this video? The title makes no sense to me after watching and listening to the video. I'm guessing you mean 'Could FH2 be remembered differently?' or 'Is the memory of FH2 in danger?'. I'd hope people buy a cheap xbox one for these games rather to play a lesser port on an emulator... If people don't already have an xbox one or Series X then that's a whole new platform of games to explore. To those who bought a Series S, you kinda shot yourself in the foot with that one... Considering some of the low quality areas in the 360 version, the main game has it's fair share too. Playground games didn't really do well on FH2's map in terms of quality control tbh. Off topic, I find it funny that you present yourself well in these videos, but when you are with friends you act more of a children's low effort RU-vidr. Just something I had a laugh about to myself and I am thankful for your mature presenting style.
