I'm planning on taking lots of photos and videos on my trip, so I've got to make sure I've got all my gear with me. Here's what I'm carrying in my camera bag to make sure I'm ready to capture all of my experiences.
Not only did I work in theme parks for 10 years, I've visited a whole lot of them as well. Here's some stories of great visits, not so great visits, favorites, reviews, and much more.

Regarding Ruby meowing... when a cat gets older they can have kidney disease and they meow loudly like she is doing. Take her to the Vet to check it out. It happened with my first Norwegian Forest cat. Love!

I took quite a bit of camera equipment on our trip. I was selective as to when and where I took the equipment. Animal Kingdom it's a must! I did not take it to Hollywood Studios for instance. If you need lenses for the trip - borrowlenses.com is fantastic. They actually fully refunded my rental after I had to return and cancel my rental when we postponed our trip due to Hurricane Irma. I was able to rent a $1200 lens for about $70 or so for the week. The USB battery packs are great. I have a pretty big one that Amazon used to sell under their brand. I also had a sound recorder with me and was questioned by park security once or twice because they simply didn't know what it was (I have a dead cat on mine). TSA can sometimes be a pain with bags like that but you should be fine. I was basically told upon arriving at a security checkpoint (very rudely) "we might have to search that bag because there's so much in it". I responded with "that's fine". I think there's a history of people smuggling stuff inside camera lenses. I seldom get through a checkpoint without a secondary search of some kind. I'm a bit of an electronics geek so my bag is always packed with stuff that I'm sure baffles the x-ray operator.

yep. I pack very similar gear for almost all of my park visits. As long as there aren't selfie sticks, monopods, extending tripods, and lighting/ large sound gear, you're almost always fine.

SirWillow thanks I just bring my phone and small cannon camera and the water bottle yo should get a clip to hold your bottle that way you can shoot hands free

Just remember to put the camera down every so often - you don't want to watch your entire, long awaited Disney Trip thru a view finder. Been there, done that. I'm getting better at listening to this advice myself, to actually look at what's around me, but I still probably have many pictures of the same thing trip after trip (e.g.: The old Coca-Cola sign on the corner drugstore of NY Street at DHS)!!!

Can I suggest grabbing a Fuel Rod.... At one of the airports you'll be at before you get to disney.... As it is usually cheaper than buying a fuel Rod at Disney by about 10 bucks.

I'm guessing you missed at 2:55 where I show the 2 fuel rods I'm taking that use AA batteries to charge my phone. :-)

I figured they aren't actual fuel rods.... Since they use AA batteries....

After the January Disney trip. had a shoulder strap on the Canon bag start to fray, and the backpack was much easier to carry.

Just to let you know, if you're not there in person it's going to be virtually impossible for me to talk to you (do you see what I did there? lol) I will be handing my camera off to someone else to use so that I can focus on the ones there in person. I won't even be looking at the phone let alone be able to answer chat messages at that point. Much better to email your address to me so it doesn't get lost and forgotten in that moment. :-)
