Do you want to learn how to count in Korean using Sino-Korean numbers? This video will teach you how to count from 1 to 10.000.
There are two number systems in Korean: Sino-Korean and Native Korean. You need to know both.
In this lesson you will learn Sino-Korean numbers and in what situations you should use them. I will also give you a few exercises so that you could practice and absorb the new information faster.
I will teach you larger numbers (mln, bln, trn) in the lesson #54.

Here's a quick trick if someone is confused about forming the number in Korean (sino numbers) - Place the no. first and then its place value for eg.: 6025 so, first we'll put no. first and then its place value yuk (number 6) cho'n (its place value 1000) i ( number 2) shib (its place value 10) o (number 5) so it will be: yuk cho'n i shib o I hope it helped + thank you for the hard work to the creator for explaining in detail I learned them well and will practice and form another no. in SINO NUMBER

Hi, can I ask why in the 8926 example the pieup became m sound? Thank you I learned a lot from your lessons ❤️
@KOREANFULLCOURSE
@KOREANFULLCOURSE 2 года назад
Hello! :) Sure, you can ask. This is a very good question :) There is a rule I forgot to mention in Lesson #5. The number 6 which is 육 is pronounced in a different way depending on what letter comes before 육. 1. if there is nothing before 육, then 육 is pronounced as 육 (yuk) 2. if there is a Vowel or consonant ㄹ before 육, then 육 is pronounced as 륙 (ryuk) 3. if there is a consonant before 육 (except ㄹ), then 육 is pronounced as 뉵 (nyuk) ---- So, the number 26 [ 이십 육 ] is changed to [ 이십 뉵 ] then changed to [ 이심 뉵 ] there is another reading rule: If ㅂ is followed by ㄴ, then ㅂ is pronounced as ㅁ. This is why 26 sounds as 이심뉵 (i shim nyuk) ^^

It's like a game for me...Me and my sister are learning together so we can play WITH this....THANK YOU!😊😊😊😊 first I had a question.. That 2 is (eung+ oi ) which is "Oi".But in names if we use it, it becomes Lee .(as spelling of Lee is also (eung+ oi ) so I was in confusion why don't we call 2 as "Lee" too .Then as you explained Chinese numbers I got my answer. That it's Sino Korean numbers which is originally from Chinese numbers so its not "Lee" its "oi" [Sorry, if I made you confuse or couldn't make you understand it...English is not !y first language. so, Sorry 😅😅😅] {Sorry! I don't have Korean alphabets here}

why does 만 sounds wan?
@KOREANFULLCOURSE
@KOREANFULLCOURSE 3 года назад
안녕하세요, 카를 씨! mm... I think because Koreans don't put much stress when they pronounce consonants. This is why sometimes 만 Man may sound as Wan. But the correct pronunciation is Man 만.
