Found this video at random and it's been like 2 years since I listened to this record but it made me go back and listen to it again for the 1000th time. I'll never forget listening to these words years ago and being in a really low place mentally and feeling so uncertain about my future but feeling like everything might just be okay because someone else was using their artistic expression to communicate so many of the same feelings I had been struggling with. This album always made me feel positive and optimistic about where life was taking me regardless of what happened, I knew the current would carry me and I shouldn't waste so much time getting caught up in all of my insecurities, fears and uncertainties. I'll always come back to this when I need positive reinforcement during difficult times and I'll always keep these lyrics close to my heart
This video aged well. It's good to watch it and realize that these guys are still together and kickin'. Looking forward for the new album that's gonna be released sometime in the next months. Much love for this band
4 years later, but, the way I interpret it, the first picture, moments before suicide, the next picture, the realization of still being alive, then the two after that, everything starting to get better. That’s how I interpret it at least, I think it makes sense with a lot of the song lyrics, specifically Wither, Soil, Decay.
this band is so good. instrumental, lyrics, everything. I just don't like it when the vocalist speaks for every single person in the band. I mean, he might have written the lyrics but I suppose the whole band has something to say about what they mean and why they agreed to incorporate they into the songs. Either way, I truly appreciate this band and it's message. It's makes me very proud to be a human being.
RichardIsAlive By reading your comment it seems like you think that every hardcore kid must be straight edge, which I disagree. If you do drugs, that's your decision, and it has nothing to do with "morals". I think morals come from the person who is judging, and that's when things become "tragic", because that's when segregation begins.
dude, so many good hardcore kids switch to cocaine, and it's fucking awful. they literally exchange all the morals they agree with and root for by listening to hardcore for exceptance. It's tragic, and too many good kids are ruined, along with good venues, and good bands.
