What messes me up is that when Tom died, he left behind a twin brother. Imagine seeing your dead twin’s face every time you look at your own reflection. Maaaan i feel bad for the guy.
This comment is to give you a little more insight in to the meaning of this song, video and a little of the tragic history of this band. Tom, their former lead guitarist, brother of the drummer Dan and main song writer, passed away from cancer before he was able to finish this song. The band finished it as a tribute to Tom. You see in the video the gradual fading of particles from the band and their instruments symbolizing Tom's health and life fading. The album before this single is called All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us. Tom wrote it while he was dying and it's apparent from the songs Nihilist, Gone With The Wind and Memento Mori that the album is basically the view of the world through the eyes of a dying man. He had fought cancer for years and kept it secret. Once his diagnosis and passing became public knowledge, it really gave that album a lot darker tone. If you're wanting heavier Architects, do Nihilist or Gone With The Wind but listen to them with this new view of the band in mind. This song is incredible but it's so hard for me to listen to it without tearing up. I'm sorry I'm a little late to seeing your reaction but I hope you see this. RIP Tom.
This is definitely one of their lighter songs, modern misery and seventh circle are probably the heaviest off of this album. In for some monster female vocals, Spiritbox // Rule of Nines.
The breakdowns in Moder Misery and Holy hell are epic as fuck. This dude is definitely a closet metalhead, and if we had known that people might have suggested something other than doomsday. Ps nihilist and "these colors dont run" have gnarly breakdowns as well
This was the first song they released after one of their members passed away. I didn't really like them before, but this song made me a fan. I think I mentioned it before, but I think youd enjoy some Letlive. Try Banshee or Copper Colored Quiet.
dunno if you guys cares but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my brother during the lockdown =)
I love this song so much! Man if you haven't listened to Demon Hunter - Fading Away you need to. I've seen them live twice (once electric and once unplugged) i talked to them after both shows and they seemed so humble and down to earth. I think you'd like them a lot.
This was their first track after tom searle passed away, his brother Dan still drums for the band. That's why it wasnt like insanely heavy. It wasnt even originally meant to be on a record
you should react to polo g he is a rapper from chicago. you should check out flex ft juice wrld or wishing for a hero. love the reactions bro keep up the good work!
You should react to polo g he's a new up and coming rapper he released a album recently as well a pretty good song to react to would be wishing for a hero, trials or tribulations, heartless, or dnd. It would be interesting to see what you think of him.
If you’re looking for heavy tho and haven’t listened to much Slipknot, you should check out their Iowa album and listen to People = Shit or Disasterpiece.
If you haven't yet check out Bury Tomorrow also from the UK. Cannibal is on up coming album but any song from any of the 4 other albums is solid. Side note you get entered into the Viper lol.
@Mathew Runaway this comment is more towards the video about darkness by Eminem and what I think about you saying about taking away firearms is it is going to be a thing just like drugs, just because it is illegal doesn't mean that people are not going to have them and if you make them illegal the people that abide by the laws and rules are not going to have the weapons to defend themselves against the people that are crazy and dont understand the point in having firearms the point is to defend your home if another country were to co.e over here and try to take our land. The military aren't going to be able to get to every spot that a terrorist is in
hey I was just watching some of your rap reactions and I saw you agree with someone that nf is a real rapper another rapper like him with a bit more modern rap is polo g he raps about his experience on the streets of chicago
