If it's 5 Eyes, it's referring to a program those countries use to circumvent laws that prevent them from spying on their own citizens. USA can't legally spy on their own citizens? Technically the yellow on the German flag is supposed to be gold. The German flag stands either for unity, freedom and democracy or the black for the bad conditions that the people lived in, the red for the spilled blood and the gold for the freedom that the people fought for or a black eagle with a red beak and red claws on golden background (Germany’s coat of arms)
