Dude when I went to Wrestlemania 29 at MetLife Stadium, found out I wasn't allowed to bring my 16 oz bottle of waterbut security was nice enough to let me go through with it as long as I gave them my cap. I go in there and find out that the same 16 oz bottle of water I have cost 5 freaking dollars there. Who says that we don't have super villains at this day and age. LoL
I love how even though monarch drives her crazy she still loves and supports him. Monarch to also shows clearly his love and loyalty to her and how much he admires who she is
They're the worst villain couple. Mr. and Mrs. Monarch are fantastic, they love and care about each other. While Joker and Harley are a cautionary tale about abusive relationships.
Where Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend are kind of freaky, they have a legit relationship and honestly care about each other. Joker & Harley are not good people. Sid & Nancy on Ace Chemical dip.
Because it's an actual loving and supportive relationship not built around physical and mental abuse that people have, for reasons I've never had satisfactorily explained to me, romanticized?
You know, The Monarchs are the best super couple. Everyone else is wrapped up in themselves and drama (not just on this show, every superhero couple) but these two roll up their sleeves and get work done.
@@psychee1 Black Bolt and Medusa run their own kingdom on the moon, and the biggest issue they have is that Bolt cannot local tell her how much he loses her without causing improbable collateral damage.
And how exactly was she supposed to know who Dr.Ms.The.Monarch was? I’m not exactly sure the guild is OPEN about who’s on the council of thirteen, especially towards the OSI, and that woman doesn’t exactly seem to be high ranking to begin with.
@@Randomyoutuber-4831 It's moreso the fact that even despite how competent she is and basically solves so many problems of the council she still doesn't have that brand recognition, identity or passionate grudge like her love interest. She's always been a number 2 to male villains and her own persona of Lady Au Pair fell though hence why she started crying on her last arch.
For all the love that the Monarch's rightfully get in these comments, shout out to 21 for picking up the vibes and sending the reunited couple off to enjoy their evening.
It is New York after all. Not from there, but from what I heard in Manhattan, the inflation there is ridiculous. Like a slice of pizza alone without a combo is $15.
Something that annoyed me until I thought about it; Sheila's meltdown felt out of nowhere near the end there. But when you put everything in to perspective; her realizing her husband killed his own dad "and didn't know", her husband killing other villains "for her", working with the creep who kidnapped her and was indirectly a part of the plan to destroy the guild, and top all that off with the fact she has to babysit freaks and psychos ranging from affably pathetic to dangerously disgruntled? Well, just look at that run on sentence. Dr. Mrs. The Monarch has a mountain on her plate.
Plus, the Monarchs' marriage has been breaking down the last couple of seasons. Maybe she was becoming worried Monarch wouldn't do the same for her since he's shown to be so into his obsession with arching Rusty that he and 21 have been killing/kidnapping their way up the Arching ladder for months. Plus, this is one of the few times the couple has had an even give/take relationship moment in a while. Monarch being the one giving and making sure that Sheila doesn't lose her job and spark a major incident puts his care and detail to her life in a new perspective. Even if Monarch wants a seat on the council, he would never ruin her dreams/position to do so. He knows and loves how competent she is and essentially had to claw her way back after the craziness that was "All This and Gargantua-2", so losing her seat over a city brawl was not the way for Sheila to go. Plus, he knows who he married: A Badass Diplomatic Rule Queen! He really was saving Kimberly McMann's Ass!
Agreed and I hope it will be addressed soon. She clearly deserves her position because she's one of the most competent people on the council, but I think she's angry that nobody knows who she is. She's Dr. Mrs. the Monarch, the wife of a level 6 super villain. That doesn't really say much about her. She's changed her name so many times over the years so maybe she'll choose one that will inspire fear and respect in protagonist and antagonists alike.
Its just gotta be one of those days. all that work, the high rank, and responsibility all for it to end in clichés. its like going through two pages of math only to prove the answer is 0 or 1 and that it didn't need all that work.
@@razorburn645 The main difference between the two relationships is that we really never got to see the ups and downs of his family life whereas with Monarch and Shelia, we saw how they grew as individuals and as a couple.
@@joshuawhite3766 I guess the thing is Red is pretty old by villain standards so there isn’t really any growth he can have with his family and would you really want a series of flashbacks showing Red and his wife grow together and love each other or the show?
The term "bad guy" delegitimizes them, and makes it seem like a black and white sorta deal. Parody of PC culture. Ironically, it's actually kind of a relevant issue: A lot of the "good" guys are awful, dangerous people, just as harmful as their "antagonists", in some cases even more so. Look at Dr. Venture Sr. Compared to Scaramantula, who's the real bad guy?
I'm just hoping the writers doesn't pull any cliche crap such as having Dean hook up with Sirena after some intense sibling rivalry crap just to bring Triana Orpheus back into the show for another stupid love triangle. But then again, failure is a theme in this show.
That's probably the alternate reality where Rusty is a successful super scientist and ours tried to kill him with a rock. Rusty and Malcom battle the Guild.
It's nice that Monarch and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch have a fairly healthy relationship, especially compared to the other couples throughout the series, seriously, I think I can only think of two, maybe three relationships more stable than these two
Make it with a quadruple... The Monarch's casually asking Red Death and his wife for a dinner date... i'm sure the vibe around that table would even deter Jonas venture sr.'s ego.
I feel that if st cloud continued to get more training he would make a good level 8 or 9 level Villain. He has the money to do it. If he kept contributing money to the guild he would level up from there. Could get a huge army of henchmen perhaps called St Could's thunderbolts or something. Also with high level weaponry he would be pretty set. His albino being his number two and probably most important of all is if he remained a silent villain when arching that way he'd appear more intimidating.
He is ranked as a level one, because whilst he has capital to arch, that's about all he has. He doesn't have henchmen or super powers, and his only ambition is just to arch Billy. Otherwise, he is a law abiding citizen.
It's especially meaningful considering his crusade against Venture has cost him his house, lair, and most of his money, yet he's building himself back up to keep doing it.
My favorite part of this show is that The Monarch can be such a petty tool, but his marriage to Dr Girlfriend is one of the most caring and genuine companionships on the show
The guild turning into a proper organization complete with equipment request and training programs is arguably the best thing to happen to venture bros
How does an OSI agent not recognize a sitting council member of the Guild of Calamitous Intent? She was even there in person during the whole Peace Treaty thing. You CAN'T tell me that they don't have debriefings.
It’s actually nice to see the Monarch come through for Dr. His Wife for once. Kinda reminds me of the times Rusty was a decent father. In the end these are two guys who had absentee role models, and when they were there they we pretty shitty. I guess both the Monarch and Rusty are two venture bros doing the best they can
I have to wonder what a level 1 lightning rifle is like. I bet it’s like being shocked by someone who was dragging their feet across a carpet while wearing socks.
I can relate to the 9 dollars for a latte. Never waste a single drop. But for me it was a white chocolate mocha with whipped cream and I brought my own cinnamon. The best coffee but it was 9 dollars for their second smallest.
I hope we get to see Shiela’s backstory this season and what caused her to become angry like that. I have a feeling she was a nobody when she was young.
They did do a backstory episode, it was after she and Monarch got married. She dated Phantom Limb, then became his sidekick, then became Monarch's sidekick. It was also shown she was in college at the same time as Rusty and Monarch, and was a student of Phantom Limb before that. And in a later episode they reveal she did have a solo career briefly as the Au Pair, where she had her moppets as her minions, but that probably lasted only a little while.
No but seriously, remember their “trial” after their wedding? The physical one where they fought deadly security drones. And how she single handedly knocked out all the Wide Whale’s guards? Dr. Mrs. The Monarch literally could kick her *ss.
Monarch, Dr. Girlfriend, and Gary have such fantastic chemistry together. Especially Dr. G and Monarch. They're an adorable villain couple. They're everything edgy teen girls think Joker and Harley are.
I love the behind the scenes of the villains and heros it's all paper work and and show the people that die are all either nameless henchmen or on the chance the villain gets the hero it's a mountain of paper work so it usually just end with a great job see you next week it really bring a fun persective on the show and redculenes of haven't and arch
