I don't think you've been made aware that you don't have to put pauses in Ren videos as Ren supports reactors and doesn't issue copyright claims. Pause if you like, just know it's not something you are required to do.

For my understand, it's like "How to be me" when someone i love/like who's in my life passed away or die brutaly (like Sui**de). He finish with a personal part for his friend Joe.

She only puts the nails on for performance. She is very shy and the nails and hats are like a power suit.

I've always heard this song as a slightly gothic, Edgar Allan Poe-ish poem describing how Ren felt during the time in his life when he was sick, hallucinating, and bedridden, had lost his record deal with Sony ("watched all my riches rust"), and lost Joe, all of which are things that happened in 2010. It was just life giving him rapid-fire kicks in the gut that year. I think it's a nightmarish depiction of Ren at rock bottom - calling out to a God who seems to have forsaken him - and so lost in pain and depression and mourning that he's finally lost his identity or, really, his ability to even feel like a person anymore.

This gives me chills everytime. I feel like the first verse is from Rens point of view, the second is Joe(Ren mentioned in an interview that they are not even sure he meant to jump and had possibly fallen) and of course the last is from Rens view again. We lost my nephew to a quick decision in the night 3 yrs ago and this song sums it up. I love how Rens music can relate to everyone and is moldable to almost any trauma. It's so personal yet descriptively vague enough to touch all hearts. Much love from TX❤

This is really another tribute to Ren's childhood friend Joe Hughes, and some could interpret it as being sung from Joe's perspective as he was struggling with his depression prior to his going to that bridge that night. Also I agree with your perspective on radio jocks and who they chose to play. You have to look closely at their programmer and what musical influences they do or don't have.

First 2:38 is about baking, reaction starts after. "I don't feel safe in my bed voices in my head talking to the dead. Fear and Sin follow me over the valleys and hills below; back home. It suffocates me...Wish I could get out of this tomb (Joe's own mind)" Ren wrote this from Joe's perspective in my opinion... You get to the end of the song and as Ren does so often he then breaks the 4th wall and speaks to Joe directly, "When he gave up the fight, the decision he made stayed with me for the rest of my life. I miss you so." It does fit Ren's story as well and Ren is a wordsmith so it is not 100% clear. I feel though it is from Joe's perspective of mind. Have Ashe react to Chinchilla "Fingers" (LIVE)!!!

As others have said, her nails are just part of the Chinchilla persona. Theres a video out there of her being interviewed behind a mixing desk where she is just Daisy. Jeans and a hoody if i remember right. Looks like a completely different person

Chinchilla puts her nails on as “costume” when she performs, they’re her “mask”, she becomes Chinchilla the performer when she wears them. I don’t think anyone would relish wiping their a*se with nails like that, then again it’s a trivial thing to focus on when looking at such an amazing performance.

I have tried with a few reactors, maybe Dave & Ash can help... Please react to Tom Waits' official music video "Hell Broke Luce". It's an awesome video. I love the guy, AND he's an absolute legend. He's been making music since the early 70's, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few years ago by Neil Young, he's been in a ton of movies, and he's just an all around fascinating person... But he gets no love from reactors. It's a travesty.

Independent artists undermine the “industry”. Even if a DJ loves Ren’s music, he won’t (can’t) play it. It’s a shame. There needs to be a viable alternative…
