How many people were holding their breath, as Su's note went higher and higher, and waiting for the beat to drop?... I didn't start breathing again until the instruments kicked back in. Seriously, i think Babymetal has been taking lessons from edm tracks on when to drop the beat.... not that many bands, especially metal, is so good at building up that anticipation before dropping the beat, no one does it as well as Babymetal. Wished Moa's vocal bit was a bit more though, it sound so good. Love how these new songs all are giving Su a lot opportunity to flex her vocal skills...😄😄😄🤘🦊🤘
Welcome back. This is definitely a song that leans a long way towards the pop end of the BABYMETAL sliding scale, further than most I'd say (so it has taken a while and several listens to grow on me). However, this was the studio audio and I have read the live version is ... different (the Kami Band's instrumentals are more prominent than those of the studio recording). We can only wait for the DVD to hear the live audio and see how much it differs of course. 'Monochrome' is my own favourite of the 4 songs released so far in advance of the new album - and they have just released a piano version of that on The First Take.

Love the J-pop sound and the nostalgic vibes mixed with the edm sound. It is a new side of Babymetal, I think they are now showing us less of the characters that were created and more of who they are and that could not make me more happy. I kind of understand why people miss the old Babymetal but we still have that on video and can relive it whenever we want, for those of us who have dug down deep into the foxhole and have gained an understanding of who the girls are beneath the personas, I think we appreciate Suzuka and Moa, as much, if not more than we do Su-metal and Moametal
i totally agree with you on Su against anyone. love that First Take video. it is so clean even as loud as Su sings. i love seeing up close how Su sings and her expressions. so much emotion in her voice.
Been a huge fan of Babymetal for 5 years, I love this band. Unfortunately, since Metal Resistance they have started shifting away from the metal sound that many of the fans desire. They have lost a lot of market share to Nemophila, and for good reason. Nemophila is just in a completely different genre. They are great but they are not taking Babymetal market share. Totally different vocals, even when Mayu is singing clean, and a very different lyrical style.
@@jimnusbaum3589 lyrical style doesn't change the genre, but ok. Whatever. Believe what you want. Babymetal's popularity is waning because they are moving away from the metal aspect that made them what they are. I say this in a sad way because I am a fan.
